the RF-5A nose is in work and the basic shape is done , the problem here is that this part is not as easy as the drop tanks and that modding is no longer my first prioity , firts is real life and my grandson , second is modding , so be patient i will make that recce-nose but not in 1 week work i still have to finish - Mirage F1 ecm and recce pods - F-5A recce nose - Tornado (guuruu) Brimstone and Brimstone tripple launcher - Spitfire Mk IX ( for Wrench ) - F-4G series and Cockpits Weapon Pack 3 RF-8 and Cockpit this short list are only the most important items there are still many more that needs to be worked on , the Weapons pack 3 is already split in to 2 parts , Bombs / Missiles / etc. and Rocket pods and Rockets there are still so many items for each pack that i have to finish

This will add to a long line of additions and modifications that Volker has added/made to the model including .. ..a full set of specific weapons (HAF specific also) ..corrected landing gear animations ..re-constructed and refined canopy mechanism and animation (this was hard..) ..corrected, re-constructed tail-hook mechanism and animation ..corrected dive brake animation ..addition of braking (drag)parachute ..multitude of adjustments to the cockpit to get additional switches/functions operational ..currently working on totally scratch built RF-5a nose (I'd given up on this in frustration .. it's that hard!!) .. lots of love, encouragement and a lot of patience.. and I've probably forgotten to mention half a dozen other things, so hat's off to the man!

And just a few more representative pics for this thread - currently tweaking the A-Team Polikarpov (I-16, type 24) into an earlier "type 10" used on occasion by the Republic of China - should be good for late 1930s scenarios using the China and Taiwan maps - will also include real engine sounds with the FM pack whenever possible...the Polikarpov rattle is great fun while flying. SF2 is an unexplored goldmine of WW2 possibilities...never liked any of the WW2 flight sims until I picked up SF2...great stuff gents'. For those wondering about how I get the crisp terrain graphics in the pics, especially at altitude, grab the "ATISetLod" app (if you have an ATI card, for non-ATI there are probably easier ways to set the lod) at the following link (https://community.hwbot.org/topic/137720-benchmark-tweak-software/) and set the LOD bias entry to a value of "-1" while in administrator mode, and save settings (I'm running such a value and have noticed crisper terrains in FE2, SF2, also WOFF and ROF). I've been updating Heberth's Raptor mod with new skins, loadouts, sounds, etc. The model had been released in alpha stage here: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/66398-wip-mega-thread/?page=3&tab=comments#comment-645422 The aircraft's 3d model is very fine. I also added all released updates shared at the WIP thread, including russouk2004's new normal maps. However, the 3d model misses external pylons! Heberth said he would have released the .max files, but only Modders have access to the Modders Round Table. I would need the help of a 3d modeler to create those, either completing Heberth's shared .max files, or by creating the pylons separately, to be added via Fake Pilot method or as weapons. An FM guru would also be needed; it seems thrust vectoring is modelled, but the animations won't work on the engine nozzles. Here below some screenshots of the work I've done; I added reworked decals from viper63a's Raptor pack (the one using the old, lower poly model by Dels), and I created a fictional YF-22 paint scheme for it.

Dear friends, The time flows and the Summer draws near, and we're another step closer to the release dates of our projects. For Bodenplatte, the biggest chunk of work to be done is the map. With first cities, settlements and airfields done, the work continues on placing the rest of them according to historical data. In the code, we have begun the long-awaited work on aircraft AI improvements: for instance, in the next update, we plan to release the improved formation logic. For Career mode, new squadron emblems, military ranks and awards for all three countries will be finished soon. P-38J-25 and Tempest Mk.V FM are in the works, while Me-262A jet fighter-bomber FM should be finished soon. Speaking of visual models, P-51D-15, P-38J-25, Tempest and B-25D are nearing completion and proceeding according to schedule. Of course, the new theatre of war requires new ground vehicle models too. Today we can show you the screenshots of another one - German Sd.Kfz. 7/1 halftrack with 20 mm Flak-Vierling 38 AA gun: For Flying Circus, the development of the Arras map (1918) continues, it will use the new art techniques being developed for 'Bodenplatte'. We should be able to show you the first screenshots of it in Summer, but today we have some new WWI aircraft cockpit screenshots, S.E.5a and Albatros D.Va. As you can see, the work on them is nearly complete and we plan to release them for Flying Circus owners before the end of this Spring: For Tank Crew, the work on enhancing the tank damage modeling is progressing well. Physical tank models now include many systems and their damage while visual models have many new animations and working instruments. The already released systems have their damage modeling improved and we have added simple GUI damage notifications for systems and crewmen. All significant events will be displayed in the 'technochat' (log) on screen. In May-June we plan to implement repairing, refueling and rearming (which later will be also applicable for aircraft). In the next update, we'll release the animated crews for PzKpfw. III Ausf. M and M4A2. Today we can show you the PzKpfw. III Ausf. M crew and PzKpfw. IV Ausf. G interior: And to finalize this Dev Blog we would like to show you the new promotional video for Battle of Stalingrad created by =HH=Pauk. It shows that the development of all of our projects doesn't stop on release date by all means and they are continuously developed and improved. Enjoy: You can discuss the news in this thread

More progress shots....the A-Team A5M4 data ini converted to an A5M1 for early-war PTO scenarios, and a rare high-alt Me109 E7-N (conversion of the A-Team E8), a small no. of which apparently were Japanese flown...should also be good for 1941 scenarios at least. Also tweaked is the Yak-1b (downtuned to the 1a, first batch of Yaks)...I think I got hit by shrapnel from the second fellow since my engine conked out...oh well, was able to dead stick it successfully. Now onto the Curtiss P-40 and other types. Happy flying, Von S

this week I share the fw 190 A 4 2.0 with some improvements requested, unfortunately the cockpit is not my strong so some indicators do not work properly. this new model will have the effect of fire leaks, the segmented fuselage and some subtle improvements in the 3d model

Having a lot of fun hunting trucks in the new Blohm & Voss BV-141. This is one very weird-looking aircraft, and it is not a dogfighter, but if you keep really low (under 200 feet) the enemy fighters will have trouble targeting you, and you can do a lot of damage to the vehicles.

After finishing with my FM tweaks for the Cold War prop package, I decided to do a small early war "1938-1941" install for myself in SF2 too - will eventually get to uploading these early WW2 FM tweaks...several representative shots below of Mk.1 Hurricane and Me109 D adventures in the middle east...had to follow the fellow up to about 10,000 meters and forgot I was out of ammo. in all the excitement...I eventually found a solution that also gave me a Hurricane "glider conversion" . Actually, the pit was a mistake. There was never our intention to use that pit - I forgot to take that extra look because I rushed the release :D Currently busy looking into alternatives as well as finding a suitable pit for the Viggen Pack so we can get that one out the door. Also because I like having fun with some older stuff...
