5 pointsAs the sun began to set the SEAL Team leader reviewed the intel package.. A week ago an aid convoy heading for the remote villages near the Sudan border lost contact. Of course search parties were launched to find them. 48 hours ago a French C-160 on an aid drop flight spotted the convoy halted well off their route and called it in. The convoy consists of trucks carrying food and medical supplies, a portable clinic constructed from shipping containers, and a number of international doctors, nurses and aid workers, including 5 Americans. As suspected, the convoy was being held by Sudanese backed militia. It would be dark by the time the SEALs arrived at Gondar. They would head straight into the mission planning cell and get together with the Marines to plan a rescue that could be launched as soon as possible.. Sure enough, by morning the various elements were ready to go.. A KC-130 lifts off carrying the SEALs.. Marine helos launch... A blocking force of Marines, including Humvees and LAV-25s will be inserted between the convoy and the border to prevent the militia escaping with hostages... And the F/A-18Ds of VMFA(AW)- 533 are tasked to provide recon, CAS and CAP for the operation.. The KC-130's track takes it far enough from the convoy that it won't be noticed, but close enough that the SEALs can cover the distance comfortably and it's time to jump... To be continued...

2 pointsI have uploaded a new version of the Heinkel He.51 (administrator approval still pending.) The new version is identical in every way to the old one, but it includes a gun sight. Ojcar has made the necessary changes to the Weapon Stations and Loadout to attach the gun sight which came with Emld's Neiuport 24 Lewis. I have included the gun sight with the download in case you don't already have it.

2 pointsA couple of years ago, I uploaded a (Fake) Spanish terrain for FE. It's not geographically correct, but it has 1930's era ground objects and airfields. I also made some tanks and armored cars for the Spanish Civil War. They're both in the First Eagles, Golden Era downloads section. Gterl was working on a terrain for SCW, I don't know where he stands on that.

1 pointSHOOT cue can not be added via avionics.ini. Unless I do not know about some hidden trick again. But. It can be done in source file of the cockpit itself. 5-minute task.

1 pointI have uploaded two versions of the Hispano-Neiuport NiD 52 - one for each side. More than 100 NiD 52's were produced in Spain between 1930 and 1933. A little more than 50 remained in service when the Civil War started and were used by both sides in the early months of the war. It was a decent fighter, but slow and not as nimble as later planes. It could hold its own against a Breguet or another Nieuport, but it facing a Heinkel will be a challenge. Nevertheless, it was an important addition to both sides until better planes became available. The download includes both versions of the plane with appropriate skins and decals, a functional cockpit, and a gun sight which can be attached via the loadout. My skinning templates are included. My thanks to Ojcar who made the FM and who made the necessary file adjustments to use the gun sight. (The gun sight was originally included with Emld's Neiuport 24 Lewis, I have included it with this download in case you don't already have it.)

In 1928, Spain purchased a license to produce the Nieuport-Delage NiD 52. The Spanish version was produced at the Hispano-Suiza factory at Guadalajara and was known as the Hispano Nieuport NiD 52. It had an all metal frame with cloth covering over the wings and parts of the fuselage. It was powered by a V12, 500 hp engine, and was armed with two Vickers machine guns mounted in the fuselage. The Spanish version was slower than expected and was considered difficult to fly. About 125 were produced between 1930 and 1933. 56 remained in service at the beginning of the Civil War; most of them remained in government (Republican) hands, only 11 went to the rebel (Nationalist) forces. Although it was an unpopular plane, the Nid 52 was an important fighter until better planes became available. I have made two versions of the Hispano Nieuport NiD 52 - one for each side. Each version has a functional cockpit, appropriate skins, and decal sets. My skinning templates are included with the download. Credits Thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the NiD 52. Ojcar has added a gunsight to the NiD 52. He made a weapon station and loadout to add the gunsight which came with Emld's Nieuport 24 Lewis. I am including the gunsight with this download. Instructions for installing it are included in a separate file. Installation Instructions For FE1 - Unzip the file. Move the folders named "NatNid52" and "RepNiD52" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. For FE2 - Unzip the file. Move the folders named "NatNiD52" and "RepNiD52" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create two new folders named "NatNiD52" and "RepNiD52". Move the folder named "D" from your Aircraft/NiD52 folders into the appropriate Decals/NiD52 folders you just made. -
1 pointI discovered another stock SF2 bug in the _NATIONS.ini file; the Republic of China Air Force (Taiwan) is always using the late roundel, instead of using the old, correct one which TK created but left unused by this mistake in the .ini: [Nation024] Name=Taiwan DisplayName=Republic of China Air Force Alignment=FRIENDLY PilotNameList=NamesChineseWG.lst RankList=RanksUSAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=USFighter Formation.Attack=USFighter Formation.Bomber=USBomber Formation.Transport=USBomber Formation.Tank=USTank Formation.MobileAD=USAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=USAFSpeech.cat SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str There's no call to the following decal; [Nation117] Name=Taiwan_OLD21 It has been addressed in my latest version of the mod, be on the lookout for the next release. This is the F/A-18C version of VFA-94 on its 2005 cruise. The FA-18 series by the Hornet Team is required for this skin, and drop this skin in the FA-18C_03 directory and go fly. The VFA-195 decals are required (should be part of the pack already) for the correct modex for the aircraft. -

1 pointI have questions. 1: I have run Windows 10 for a while and do not experience problems with SF2. Are there any here who do? 2: 25 Large for a compatibility update seems like a lot of money. All the other features appears to be if he gets more than that. 3: Have TK considered alternate methods such as releasing on GoG.com, Humble Store, Epic Steam or Steam? 4: Have TK considered to lower the price of his products? One game still costs as much as a DCS Module on sale? I would be happy to donate if it meant SF2 got a significant update with a clear list of features. But now it all seems far too vague.

1 pointOK, so what you are saying, is that, those of us who have been with the Sim from its inception, and who purchased the original game , Strike fighters project one, an all the expansions, also who bought First eagles Mk1 , and then when the sim was not supported in win 7 had to re purchase the whole damn shooting match AGAIN , along with FE 2 , are now looking at for the third time, purchasing ( albeit by private funding ) the whole clusterfuck again......shady dealings if you ask me, TK is a dick ( sorry if that offends anyones sensibilities ) who is not interested in the sim, but wont release source code etc to allow this community to develop the game ourselves,???? I would rather put money into a project run by the good folk of Combat Sim, and the Gods know there is enough talent on here to do this, than line the pockets of a profiteering wanker, who has just seen an opportunity to take the piss for the third time, and who is to say he will ( if indeed he does ) update the sim to modern standards..........Call me a cynic, but I am very wary of this, and although I would love nothing more than to update and improve SF/FE I trust TK as much as I would trust a Ferengi with the family jewels !!!

1 point2 Mira, Royal Hellenic Air Force 1940 The Breguet 19A2B2 served in the Royal Hellenic Air Force from 1925 to 1940. Initially they carried the names of Greek cities and island but were later given code numbers. 53 aircraft were purchased, including 12 from Yugoslavia in 1935, but only 18 were still airworthy by the start of the Greco-Italian War. By this stage it filled an observation/army cooperation role with 1 Observation Mira, under I Corp Command, based at Perigiali, near Corinth and with 2 Observation Mira under II Corps command, based at Larissa and Kozani. I've include both the bmp files and the layered psp files for those of you who want to improve on the skin or make your own. LloydNB
