Hello, I don’t know if this has ever been seen... with First Eagle 2 ! In order to toggle the landing gear of the Bf 109 (SCW tests) I've written directly this line in the [ControlSet001] section of the Control.ini file : LANDING_GEARS_TOGGLE=G (G for example) This works !!! Best regards, Coupi.

Another re-run pulled from the What-If Screenshot Thread - The Final Countdown (1980) Tonight's film is everyone's other favourite F-14 movie.... (Dialogue is courtesy of imdb) Captain Yelland: Alert One this is Eagle One, what've you got? Pilot: Two Japanese Zeroes, sir. Captain Yelland: Two what? Pilot: Two Trophy Class Mitsubishi A6Ms in original condition, complete with all markings. I mean, they look brand new sir! Captain Yelland: Have you been spotted? Pilot: Negative, we're right in the sun at their 6 o'clock high. Captain Yelland: Stay in visual contact, take no action without clearance. Pilot: Wilco Eagle One, out. Captain Yelland: Eagle Control to Alert One, you are clear to arm, but don't fire. Throw them off, play with them, but do not fire. F-14 pilot #1: Affirmative! F-14 pilot #1: Say, Fox... that woke 'em up F-14 pilot #2: Yeah, but I think we should give 'em another shot! [one of the F-14's barely dodges a burst of gunfire from one of the Zeroes] Pilot: Why the hell are we playing with these guys? Captain Yelland: Alert One this is Eagle One, you are clear to fire. Splash the Zeroes. I say again, splash the Zeroes... F-14 pilot #1: Eagle Control, Alert One. Splash two, repeat, splash two. Possibly one survivor in the water.

Consider this very much a work in progress. Especially the "UserList" files. Edit: Oops, I forgot to adjust the radar frequency, will fix later. Edit2: Adjusted the radar frequency. KJakker WIP Russian Defense Pack Update 0.1.7z

You can use the controls.ini from SF2 in FE2. No problem.

I downloaded that SF1 Shilka pack. I have some source info that shows some erors in the data files so let me do a data file update for them.

Effectively Idem with FLAPS and WHEELBRAKES entries... I think this was already known by our FE2 gurus !

View File F/A-18D VMFA(AW)-332 Line This represents a version of the VMFA(AW)-332 line jets. Simply drop into the FA-18D_03 folder and go fly. Special thanks to allenjb42 for the decals in order to make this skin happen. It can be found under VMFA(AW)-332 in the drop down menu. Submitter EricJ Submitted 11/01/2019 Category F-18

Wilches, Sorry if I gave the impression I am 'making' this model. I don't know how to 'make' models. This model is the Bell 206 JetRanger from YAP's pay ware 'Drug War' install, which I have. I am working to 'convert' it to a reasonable facsimile of an OH-58A Kiowa for my Vietnam installs. Mostly repainting a skin and hiding a few bits. I would also like some weapons for this a/c. I need an M27 Armament Subsystem with an M134 minigun. Hate flying around in a war zone with no weapons. So far, I've only found the minigun, but no way to attach it. If I understand it correctly, the YAP Bell 206 is converted (?) from a FSX model? If you don't have the YAP Drug War install, you might try converting the FSX freeware version. Then paint it and make/attach the weapons you want. The attached screenshot is what I'm converting it from:

In the Heinkel He.51 download, I included a text file with detailed instructions for this. My instructions were given to me by Ojcar and add - landing gear, wheel brakes, bomb bay doors, flaps, and jettison the fuel tank. They were tested in both FE1 and FE2. InstructionsForFuelTank_Readme.txt

Good find Coupi! I just checked the default Contols.INI in one of my SF2 WW2 installs, and there are quite a few controls in SF2 which are not in the FE2 file, such as: FLAPS_DOWN=F FLAPS_UP=V AIRBRAKES_TOGGLE=S WHEELBRAKES_TOGGLE=B LANDING_GEARS_TOGGLE=G ARRESTER_HOOK_TOGGLE=H ENGINE_TOGGLE=CTRL+I DRAG_CHUTE=CTRL+B OPEN_BOMBBAY_DOOR=CTRL+O DROP_TANKS=CTRL+D JETTISON_STORES=CTRL+J CHAFF=C FLARE=X Probably not much need for a drag chute or chaff or flares in FE2, but I wonder if some of the others work? Some 1930's bombers, like the He-70 and of course the He-111, had bomb bays.

I love FE, but have never modded it. I have been perfectly happy flying Camels, Dr.Is, D.VIIs, Spads, etc. But this post made me take a closer look at what is available. I remember a lot of the aircraft, but not the Gladiator. Well done!

A few "Somewhere over New Dhimar" screenshots. Thanks to KJakker for resurrecting the thread with Mue's extended fade mod I actually tried it out this time and was really impressed! It adds a lot of visual depth to terrains and my old rig held up quite well over the coastal desert areas but noticeable frame rate hits when further inland over heavily treed areas. [over 1000 trees/buildings on some tiles] Ended up removing the mod to maintain frame rates during large fur balls but it was worth the look and it might get me computer shopping soon. The coastal desert area has been getting a major overhaul. All the farm tiles have been changed to orchards and moved into the mountain areas, with one exception. I never found the combination of desert and farm tiles very convincing on the stock terrain so I'm trying to get a drier desert look with some date palm plantations here and there and everything connected by roads. Will also be adding some building clusters along the roads and a few single tile walled towns in the flat areas along the main roads. Mue views, trees still showing color on the far side of the city: Over the Kerman Valley, the one desert area with farm/orchard tiles: The roads are getting some work but it's been a difficult process. The paved roads will be quite straight in the desert and high plains area but all the rest will have a more winding look. Just have to figure out how to do that! This has been a long slow project but once I get the coastal desert finished I'm going to work inland and fix all the other areas I'm not happy with while also doing some targeting. Definitely not "2 weeks". Maybe sometime in 2020 for version 1.
