US Emergency Aid F-8J Crusaders upgraded after the Yom Kippur war along side the US Emergency Aid A-4E/F Skyhawks... - 2x 30mm DEFA cannons in place of the 4x 20mm Colt cannons. Upper 20mm gun ports are blanked off and 30mm DEFA barrels extend out of lower 20mm gun ports. - Vector RWR display installed in cockpit. - Modified for Israeli weapons. - Wet wing pylons utilized with drop tanks. - IRST removed (like the French Navy the IAF found the system to be more trouble then it was worth). Israeli Aircraft Industries 'Super Lochem' project leverages the Vought V-1000 International Fighter Aircraft proposal and upgrades the engine to the J79 (more power and less weight) common to the IAF Kurness and Kfir...

Ok, here's the deal -- English is the main language used on this site. It's perfectly OK to have PART of the announcement in Spanish, the MAIN announcement MUST be in English. Also, can you PLEASE try and put your uploads in the proper place???? "What If" aircraft and skins have their own sections. Otherwise, we (moderators and admins) have to keep moving from where you put them, to where they actually go. thank you

Fixed making dummy landing gear nosegear2 copied main strut damper and axles...made them 1 poly shrunk poly to minute...added clear.tga set to opacity 0 and added as dummy gear .dont think game likes wheels angled.. also wheels sunk in tarmac...its ok from side low view,I think it cos runways are not exactly ground level( i know its not possible...) might play with size of wheels a tad

Pointless having slow and fast prop meshes...only slow shows even at max rpm....looked at a few a\c and same... anyways...only odd thing is front right wheel slants to right not left and will not fking move lol...looks like need make new ones. is it just the fast and slow rpm settings that enable them ? so far...flies ok.

Models all done...had to redo fuselage as it was mapped using subobjects...fuse had two textures so now it has one...a lot of parts like engines too...so cylinder mapped them and they came out ok...texture was not placed well, now it is...also was mapped wierd on the fs9 version...engines now can be different camo as before they were same... to do...prop textures...co-ords etc....then data etc...hopefully ready for w\e did look for paint kit but doesnt seem to be one...so skins might be rare....but some of the others might work....in the freeware pack are this model...the US Navy EC121K Warning Star also USAF EC-121R...L-049 BOAC ,ALPHA Constellation L-1049C ALPHA Constellation L-1049G TWA ALPHA Constellation RC-121D all are different models...but might be able to edit this one as they arent that much different...meshes are easy to move etc..

RAF Brize Norton. Today the biggest base of the RAF it was in time of Battle of Britain a place for the Flying Training School. A Squadron of Blenheim Bombers used Brize Norton at this time too. During WW2 the base was widely enlarged and got runways made by concrete.

Gloster Javelin F.Mk56 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the Veltro2K's superb Gloster Javelin to give a fictional Javelin F.Mk56 'Dhanush' of the Indian Air Force with markings for the equally fictitious No.36 'Trishula' squadron and, in this revised upload, I've also included markings for No.14 Squadron (Bulls). BACKSTORY The expansion of the Indian Air Force during the mid-1950's saw the planned procurement of the Hawker Hunter fighter-bomber and the English Electric Canberra bomber in substantial quantities but Indian Air Force planners saw the lack of an all-weather interceptor as a problem and urged the Indian Government for increased funds for a suitable aircraft. Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru initially blocked the idea but soon agreed to allow a delegation from the Gloster Aviation Company to make a presentation to the Indian Government and the Chiefs of the Indian Air Force. With the end of the Javelin production line looming Gloster were proposing two new export version of the Javelin Mk8 to India - the F.Mk55 (Sapphire-enginned) and F.Mk56 (Avon-enginned) versions. Indian Air Force chiefs were very enthusiastic about the possibility of having its three main combat aircraft use the same jet engine (albeit the Javelin's Mk.205 Avon engines had a simple afterburner fitted) and urged Nehru to proceed with the purchase of 80 aircaft but Nehru demanded to meet the Gloster delegation himself to thrash out terms. Gloster cannily sent Graeme Kimmage, who had attended Cambridge University with Nehru, to conduct the negotiations and eventually secure a deal for 80 Javelin F.Mk56's. Entering service with No.36 'Trishula' squadron based at Pathankot in 1958 the Javelins only really became a complete weapon system when mated with the indigenous 'Baan' (Arrow) air-to-air missile which entered service in 1960. From this time the Javelins quickly earned the most appropriate nickname of 'Dhanush' (bow) and saw limited service over Goa (in the recconnaisance role) but played a major role in the 1965 war with Pakistan claiming several kills including three F-86's, one F-104 and six B-57's. However, with the MiG-21 entering service the Javelin's days were numbered and the Javelin force slowly faded away and by 1975 the popular and legendary 'Dhanush' had gone for good. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Javelin56 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Javelin56 folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the 'BAAN' and 'TANK300_JAV' folders to your Weapons folder. That's it! CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Special thanks to the prolific Veltro2K for producing 'the harmonious dragmaster'. Thanks also to Paulopanz for the excellent skin used in this revised upload. Thanks to ghostrider883 for suggesting the 'Dhanush' and 'Baan' names and for suggesting the serial numbers used. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.
