5 pointsA ''what-if'' RCN F-2H2 of VF-870 (with VF-801 bird on image 000001). RCN really had Banshee's (39 total), but they were F-2H3. Thx Veltro for this Banshee!

3 pointsAs far as my research goes, those pylons were not often used operationally. One source says that loading them caused significant extra drag. Nevertheless, here are a few pictures showing Turkish F-104S Starfighters with practice bombs and Italian ones with BL755s and Sidewinders.

2 pointsor maybe they did...from wiki Armament The basic armament of the F-104 was the 20 mm (.79 in) M61 Vulcan Gatling-mechanism autocannon. This weapon frequently had shell ejection problems due to linked ammunition resulting in avionic problems and crashes. A linkless ammunition feed system was developed for the upgraded M61A1 installed in the F-104C and later models. The Starfighter was the first aircraft to carry the new weapon, which had a rate of fire of 6,000 rounds per minute. The cannon, mounted in the lower part of the port fuselage, was fed by a 725-round drum behind the pilot’s seat, giving only a continuous 7+ second burst of fire. It was omitted in all the two-seat models and some single-seat versions, including reconnaissance aircraft and the early Italian F-104S; the gun bay and ammunition tank were usually replaced by additional fuel tanks. The gun’s location was advantageous as gun-flash was not in the pilot’s line of sight, therefore not robbing him of night-adjusted vision. Two AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles could be carried on the wingtip stations, which could also be used for fuel tanks. The F-104C and later models added a centerline pylon and two underwing pylons for bombs, rocket pods, or fuel tanks. The centerline pylon could carry a nuclear weapon; a “catamaran” launcher for two additional Sidewinders could be fitted under the forward fuselage, although the installation had minimal ground clearance and made the seeker heads of the missiles vulnerable to ground debris. The F-104S models added a pair of fuselage pylons beneath the intakes available for conventional bomb carriage. The F-104S had an additional pylon under each wing, for a total of nine.

1 pointI've had it, it wasn't as bad as the flu, but it certainly wasn't fun. Call your primary physician the moment you feel like you cannot breathe. Lots of rest, lots of fluids. COVID will sap your strength and you won't want to eat because you can't smell or taste anything, so snack to keep your blood sugar from crashing into the basement. I got it in October and I still have problems with regaining energy. I can't even get through a full workout and it's been over a month. Prayers for a swift recovery, brother.

1 pointThanks for the photos Russ............the guy who did the mod (PureBlue) has this in the readme. Unfortunately the F-104S manual I have makes no mention of the allowed A-G loadouts so unsure if it was authorised for actual use.

1 pointAnyone know what this could be? This is a Windows Error and not a EAW Error. I had the .....142 this error once but I just can't remember what I did to fix it. :( I don't remember placing any notes on my site either, Ill have to look again. (Nope no notes). Unfortunately, I have been unable to reproduce this error myself, so I can't find a fix for it. I'm thinking he needs to run it in Admin level. By right clicking the the eaw.exe and selecting "Run as Administrator". But I'm un certain. I found that Running as Admin when logged in as an Admin can complicate problematic issues with EAW. To correct this Windows error, Perhaps remove EAW from the location on your HD and clean out the registry with CCleaner (this removes the EAW Windows made entryies that cause problems). Then replace EAW and run it directly from the eaw.exe by clicking on it. Otherwise the Original Poster needs to provide more details and information.

1 pointI understand your enthusiasm, guys. However, right now I'm concentrating on getting this one finished. It will have the late tailplane and one gun, which seems to be the most common configuration. After that I'll think about making other versions.
