I think you are wrong. Military in germany (east and west) was duty, not volunteer. It was compulsory military service. And in all armies with compulsory military service the recruts think "What the fuck we are doing here!" This has nothing to do with east or west. In east germany the military education started already in the school. The aim was not to learn "how to bring the glorious communism to the poor and suppressed crowds in the west". The aim was to learn how to defend the country. It was easy to believe to be on the right side. They had only to show us the pictures of the devastations in Vietnam. Then they had shown us the ruins of Dresden (some where still there in the 1980th). And they told us, that american bomber planes and missiles are aiming on us. During my military time i have seen a education film with the title "Das ist der Feind!" (Thats the enemy!) It was a film which showed the drill of recruits of the US Marines Corps. No comment, no word. Only the sequences how the recruits were drilled, brainwashed, humilated. Then the film showed what the Marines had done in Vietnam. They showed the war crimes made by USA. And only short before the movie ended the words came: "This is the enemy! A bunch of merciless killers!" This film is not available at YOUTUBE or any other platform.

Watch it - you're getting real close to my heartstrings! In the lower right, especially note the towing service the swift boats called when they broke down...

Shit, I've been around so long I remember when we didn't even have season!! Example, the America NorthWest terrain -- we have 4 different full terrains, one for each season, each with they're own (renamed desert) cat file as we hadn't figured out the pathway statement yet. Yes, I'm old

Firstly, thanks for your help throughout the last days, I asked way too much questions. So, I am sorry for that lol, just trying to learn. Now, I wonder if there a toturial for making maps as i Didn't find anything in the knowledge base or maybe I missed something, but I looked there many times. I was planning to learn making some tanks or ships/carrier and jets, but I found everything covered even fantasy planes are here. Thanks for that too lol. I found many maps here, but they haven't covered everything yet and from that I understand that they must be taking a huge load of time and they seems to be the hardest. However, if anyone has any link/file for any tutorial for maps making. I would appreciate it. I used to make some maps and mod other games, but I am not really familiar with this game files except ini files as they are pretty simple, but I try to learn lol.

Not sure about "components", could be limited somewhat like weapon stations where you can only have 32 of. I understand your commitment, personally I would not bother to remove the landing lights. Since there are only 10 allocated weapon station entries in the data.ini you can try to trick the game to hide it. You can add it as a weapon station and put the mesh name in place of the "ModelNodeName=" and leave the 'AllowedWeaponClass=' empty so it will never be loaded. The only thing you will need to add the weapon station system call outs to some major part of the model. Put the "StationGroupID=" to 7 so it will never show up in the loadout screen. Also if you put the modelnodename of the wingtip pylons onto the weapon station entries (left/rightouterstation) the game will hide them by default if nothing is loaded onto them so that frees up 2 more slots for you.

Like most of you have said or intimated, guess it's what you are used to or prefer. The trouble I had with the tablet and pen before might have been my lack of hand drawing/painting skills. I think the tablet has some capabilities that might be worth exploring. If I go the tablet route I'll probably use a blend of both tablet and mouse/keyboard actions. Got a demonstration set up with my nephew to show me a mac and ipad pro set up he uses. Thanks for your experiences and opinions.

I also bought a Wacom board many years ago. Played with it a bit. Found it very foreign to use and eventually just packed it away. Think it's still languishing in a closet somewhere. I don't think it will work with Windows 10.

Thanks for everything Vons. You are really a very generous person. Greetings. Oh sure I like Rof. It really is the one I like the most. Too bad the developers abandoned it. Ideally, Rof with the AI of Woff or FE and the whole environment.

Hi again Dresam, You will find the YouTube channel for FE2 vids. at this link: [Have deleted channel - no time to maintain it.] Currently there is one vid. available of about 15 mins. in length, a flight in a Morane-Saulnier Type G, March of 1915, doing a short circuit/patrol over the Suez Canal, in broken/scattered weather, and then back to land. After landing, there is a brief tour of the airfield. You will notice that many of the airfield objects are similar to those in WOFF since the objects were originally done by Geezer for FE2 and then later imported, by his permission, into WOFF. Recommended is to view the video at max. settings (1080 HD). Keep in mind however that, after taping the flight in "Game Bar" on Win10, I then compressed the video in VLC Player before uploading to YouTube, so there may be some light artifacts at times. If I find more free time in the future I will maybe do a short circuit or dogfight over the Italian maps, eastern front, as well as western front. EDIT: YouTube channel for First Eagles 2 deleted - see representative pics. instead, here on the FE2 forums for CombatAce, for fresh examples of modded FE2. Happy flying, Von S P.S. If you like ROF, I recommend trying out my new AI tweaks for it - for single-player mode - since the stock AI is not that great in ROF.

Personally I don't see Pakistan committing any forces to the aid of Paran. Not only is Pakistan still considered a major non-NATO ally to the US, they still have their rival next door to consider. And Bangladesh, they have what, maybe 40 combat aircraft total? A bit unrealistic even for a what if campaign to consider them. I don't think Iran would volunteer that much of their air power either. Just my two cents. I like the idea though. Speaking of Iran, don't forget that Spinners uploaded a lovely Parani Saeqeh.

Eh, considering I am focusing on a few "what if" aircraft (E.G. Mirage G and F-20A Tigershark), I'm probably going to go with a mix of F-14s and F-15s for Dhimar.
