2 pointsDear Pilots, Today’s DD brings us images of the ME 410 A-1 in the engine finally, showing off some of its paint-schemes and beautiful lines. This beautiful bird has been in development for a long time, but the wait has been worth it. The cockpit was an especially challenging piece of work and we’ll have pics of it in the next Developer Diary, but today feast your eyes on its external beauty. Our 410 an A-1 model, but with various modifications that are included it can also become a B-2 variant. We think you will really enjoy the ME 410 A-1 ‘Hornisse’ as it was known. It’s another triumph for the Sturmovik modeling and engineering teams! The ME 410 will enter Beta in about a week’s time. We also have several images of airfields that will be present on the Normandy map. It’s nearing completion and will enter Beta soon as well. It should be noted that the images below are still WIP and some textures may not final. As we have highlighted in previous diaries, different fields have different surfaces. These images definitely demonstrate a variety of different types. Just like our previous maps there will be numerous airfields to launch missions from and of course attack! There is just a huge variety of different airfield types to choose from. Enjoy! The Sturmovik Team

2 pointsHmmm yeah, something weird is going on with my inbox, I think it needed a little clean up, I deleted a few things in there... Well, not only do I fly F-16s, but I've been trying to finish a "simple" mod based on the Chilean Air Force for a long time... I say simple in quotes because over time I found details and solutions. of the same in the excellent viper team model... I actually thought of working on the YAP vipers, but although they are very precise the viper team work has more animations and covers the wide variety of blocks and variants... Here are some improvements... * Relocated (and slightly scaled) IFF and RWR antennas * Canopy frames with their respective black borders (in blocks D and B I managed to thicken the frame that divides the cabins) * The section of the engine shown between the fuselage and the nozzle on the B models had a mapping problem that only showed a narrow ring, now also fixed... Some corrections in the drawing of the panel lines (not of the number of rivets type) but something better was achieved. I did a lot of this with added 3D with fake pilot and hiding/overlaying things...also did some work on the canopy TGAs...so far I think it meets my expectations. Later I will try to show new images

1 pointHello everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I am taking a break this weekend too due to the real life. However, I am sharing what I have been working on for a few days. The weapons are being overhauled with mods that make them more accurate while new add-on ordinances are being added and maintained. I have thought again about how to improve existing tags and implemented them. It will be more simple and user-friendly when looking through the list. I am using the weapon pack by Ravenclaw_007 and Crusader. By the way, when I flew the SF2 mission and there was many variants of GBU-10s, 12s, and other. I have no idea how they are different from each other. And now with research, I am able to add the information which guidance and what kind of aerial bombs they are based on. Now this time, I can tell which ordinance to select for any kind of mission. I am still polishing and improving any of the tags further through testing in SF2. The goal is to keep it simple, clean, readable, and friendly-user when looking through the list. When looking for the ordinance, the first thing I look at naturally is tag such as [Bomb-type], [DT], [GP], [RBCB], [IIRM], [EOGB], etc... Then look at the weapons and the information in brackets. When looking for the rocket pods [RP], you can see the information on which kind of rockets it carries on the left section while selecting the specific RP you want on the right section. No more rocket pod and rocket information running out of the space when being displayed. For the next version of beta, the additional notes that explain the tag will be added to the note. So everyone can use it as a reference. F-104s are completed and I am moving on to the next UK aircraft after the break this weekend. Cheers!

This is the second of four projects I have been working on for the last 6 months. It will be followed shortly by Ultimate Packages for the F3H-2 variant, along with a F7U Cutlass Ultimate Package. The F3H-2M (M for "Missile") was a version of the F3H Demon that was equipped to carry and launch the early AAM-N-2 Sparrow I radar beam-riding air-to-air missile. Two of the four 20mm cannons were often removed to same weight. Sometimes all were removed and it operated pure-missile!! The F3H-2M was produced in parallel with the F3H-2N, but only 80 examples of the F3H-2M were built. It was modified to carry the AN/APG-51B radar set that was used to guide the Sparrow I missile. Four of these Sparrow missiles could be carried underneath the wings. This model of the Demon was NOT operationally upgraded to operate the new and improved Sparrow III missile. After 1962...the designation was changed to MF-3B Demon. Being underpowered was its major flaw. The original Westinghouse J-40 never materialized and the J-71 was fitted instead. Pilots called the Demon the "Lead Sled" or just "Sled". This is a major rework of the existing F3H-2M demon file into the 3 variants. Almost everything has been tweeked to make it more accurate in appearance and performance. The skins have been painstakingly researched and re-created. Every squadron which flew this M model Demon is represented here including changes in their scheme over time. The flight model has been adjusted to fly like the Demon and give you performance worthy of its nickname. There are new Hangar and Loading Screens as well. All Bureau Numbers are accurate for this variant. A new weapon model has been created for the early Sparrow I. It is TRUE in appearance and performance (at least as much was possible). ONLY A FEW DEMON SQUADRONS OPERATED THE F3H-2M...they are represented in this package. SQUADRONS REPRESENTED: VF-24 "Corsairs" (2 skins) VF-61 "Jolly Rogers" (4 skins!) VF-112 (2 skins) VF-121 "Pacemakers" the West Coast RAG (Replacement Air Group) VX-4 "Evaluators" Point Mugu (Pacific Missile Test Center) NATC (Naval Air Test Center) A read-me file is enclosed which contains installation instructions and credits. -

Introduction I have made new skins for the Canadair CF-104 Starfighter. These skins show all the normal Royal Canadian Air Force/Canadian Armed Forces CF-104 schemes. Fuel tanks are included. Aircraft.ini files removing TK's CF-104 skins are also included. Skins The following skins are provided: CF-104RCAF Natural Metal (Canada-based) RCAF Natural Metal (Germany-based) RCAF Natural Metal post-1965 (Canada-based) RCAF Natural Metal post-1965 (Germany-based) CAF Natural Metal (Canada-based) CAF Natural Metal (Germany-based) [*]CF-104_72 CAF Natural Metal (Canada-based) CAF Natural Metal (Germany-based) CAF Green CAF Symmetrical Natural Metal (Canada-based) CAF Symmetrical Natural Metal (Germany-based) CAF Symmetrical Green [*]CF-104_76 CAF Symmetrical Natural Metal (Canada-based) CAF Symmetrical Natural Metal (Germany-based) CAF Symmetrical Green CAF Symmetrical Camo I have provided 20 serial numbers. Anyone wishing to make additional serials will find PSD templates, and the RCAF font in the extra's folder. Use 22-point for pre-unification serials, 16-point for unification serials, and 48-point for buzz numbers. I have also included fuel tank templates which I have created. No instructions or files have been added to make the CF-104 flyable, however plenty is available on combatace.com on this subject. What works for the F-104G will work for the CF-104. I recommend making the aircraft ini files read only. Template used: http://combatace.com/files/file/5474-f-104g-photoshop-template/ Changes Removed CAF Green from CF-104, removed scratches from all skins, adjusted specular, glossiness and reflection values on natural metal skins, added SM files to natural metal skins. Fixed decals to remove white borders. Installation Instructions Copy the contents of "ModFolder" into your mod folder. Over-write where necessary. Credits TK: SF2, stock CF-104 Bobrock - F-104 template Littlesmoke - CF-104 NATO skin (used for 'tracing' the camo skin) Paulopanz - natural metal skins advice If there are any problems, or omisions in the credits, please send me a PM.
