Republic F-105B Thunderchief (Stand in)
 
 
 

Uses the TW F-105D model as a stand in with the following mods:
 

- Removed nose pitot tube and added one to the left outer wing via fakepilot method.
 
- Data.ini edits (weight, thrust, service year etc).
 
- Ranging radar only.
 
- Re-painted and re-panel lined the nose to re-shape it into that of the F-105B.
 
- Moved cannon port.
 

- Canopy can open.
 
- Removed bombay fuel tank.
 
- Cockpit is from the F-84F as the F-105B did not have the 'tape' style instruments or a radar scope like the F-105D
 
- Added 'fighter sweep' mission as if a shooting war had developed during the Cuban Missile Crisis some of the 4th TFW F-105B Squadrons were tasked with an Air Superiority role.
 
- One generic USAF silver skin using stock decals and another for the 335th TFS, 4th TFW that forward deployed to Macoy AFB during the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

This is the release of the De Havilland Venom NF.3 Night/All Weather figher by Veltro2k.
 
The aircraft comes with 3 skins:
 
RAF:
No. 23 Squadron
No. 141 Squadron
 
Swedish Flygvapnet:
F1 Hasslo (J-33)
 
All markings are decals and decal randomization is TRUE. All items; sounds, pilots, drop tank are supplied. All other weapons use stock 3W items. Serial numbers (RAF version) while correct for the variant, should be considered 'generic' in nature not representing any specific unit. IIRC, the Swedish numbering should be 100% historicly correct.
Other RAF squadrons are easily made by creating the "bar-roundel" decal seen on the tail booms.
The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystrokes; shift/0 (zero)
 
When in-game, you'll see
 
Venom NF.3 (v2k)
 
on the Aircraft selection drop down menu. This will diferentiate it from any others you may (or may not) have.

Soviet/Russian Pilots Pack - part 2 (80's to present)

These are re-skins of the stock pilot model, representing Soviet/Russian pilots wearing the latest generation Soviet/Rusian flightgear.
 

Pilot descriptions:

Red7250 and Red7350
 
These pilots are wearing current standard Russian helmet - ZSh-7, KM-34 series 2 oxygen mask and VKK-15 high altitude suit. Developed in late 1980s, these suits are the latest generation of mass produced Soviet/Russian high altitude suits
 
Use on:
Almost all contemporary Russian aircraft that fly on higer altitudes: MiG-25, MiG-29, MiG-31, Su-27, Tu-160, late Tu-95.
 
Red5260, Red7260 and Red7360
 
These guys are wearing VMSK-4 naval survival suit. It is a complete pilot protection system as it contains a number of partial pressure (G-suit) components and it also acts as a dry-suit in case the pilot ejects into the cold waters of the North or Barents Seas. Great for North Atlantic or DBS terrains.
Red5260 is more suitable for older aircraft like Yak-38.
 
Use on:
Soviet/Russian naval aviation aircraft, aircraft flying over cold waters
Yak-38, Yak-41, Su-33, MiG-29K, Tu-22M etc...
 
Red5225, Red7225 and Red7325
 
Regular flight suits in camo pattern and anti-G pants. Used in various aircraft since the late 80s.
 
Use on:
Pretty much everything that flies since the 80s. I am using these in ground attackers.
 

Instalation:

1. Extract to your "Objects\Pilots\" folder.
 
2. Open the *_data.ini file for your aircraft of choice and search for a section like this:

Change the line
 
PilotModelName=...
 
to
 
PilotModelName=RedXXXX
 
If the it does not have the line above, just add it.
Save!
 
3. Start the game and enjoy your new pilots!

This mod includes additional C-130 or other cargo plane pilots. Not sure where the base pilot I modded came from, I think I got the pilot from a different mod. If anyone knows, please drop me a line so I can properly credit the creator of the LOD file.
 
To use the pilots, please add them to your "Pilots" folder and update your "<plane>DATA.INI" file's "Crew" section to display them in your planes.

SF2 Alternate Clean and Dirty Exhaust Emitters 2016

This mod includes custom exhaust emitters to replace the stock Clean and Dirty emitters. I've been tweaking these for about a year now (!) and I think I finally have it the way I like it.
 
If you're for vapor ripples or greasy streaks in the sky, these ain't it. The Clean emitter has just a tad bit more presence so you can see it when looking back. The Dirty emitter blooms darkly behinds the plane and fades into transparency.
 
If you choose to install these effects, I recommend that you back up your current "Effects" folder. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup.
 
To install, simply unzip and copy the uncompressed "To_Mod_Folder" folder to your "Saved Games" mod folder(s).

This addon works only with included WeaponPACK. All of weapon stations are made as specific station code and will work only with this weapon pack.
 
Standard commands for activating Cobra features:
 
AIRBRAKES - sun filter/shader on off - just for fun no airbrakes so empty animation slot for use.
 
ARRESTING HOOK - jump from pilot station to gunner station.
 
LANDING GEAR - skid search light on/off at any speed. Dont forget to retract it because you wil be not able to shoot.
 
ANIMATION 8 - ammo bay dooors
 
ANIMATION 9 - gunner door (ext and cockpit view)
 
ANIMATION 10 - pilot door (ext and cockpit view)
 
ANIMATION 1 - NVG (It is not nvg but some greent filter) If you don't like it disable it in cockpitini file.
 
AH-1F was Step 3 upgrade program of Army Cobra. This variant was originally known as the AH-1S(MC) – Modified Cobra. In this model Army Cobra featured the three -barell 20mm M197 automatic cannon mounted in XM97 universal turret. The AH-1F also featured an improved rocekt management system for 2.75 inch rockets, an improved sighting system, and a more powerful electrical generator to support all new systems. It was later upgraded with engine inlet deflectors to allow using WFAR rockets with Mk66 motor.
 
For take off: Around 75% of throttle vector - and then increase power to 70-85% (or more for quick lift) and pull controll stick little and snake will take off. Then reduce throttle vector as needed and reduce power to 69%. It should fly around 110kts now. 69% is about cruising speed.
When on the ground you can see rotating blades for pitch and roll. Just additional and unnecesary thing (not visible so much when flying) but it is possible so it is there. Not working like i want but better then nothing.
 
There are two different pylons on inboard stations one for rocketpods one for gunpods. Just to have a proper angle of fire with GP. It is not proper for real model but in my opinion best what can be done for SF engine. Rocket pods are ok with correct angle on inboard stations.
 
NVG.
Unfortunately there is no NVG in this game.
I just added green "filter" to cockpit and you can activate it by default Animation 1 key.
In external view ther will be little change in cockpit- unfortunately not moving with pilot/guner head.
In copit view there is green glow and filter It is definitely not helping during night flight but this is beta version. Maybe one day real nvg will be possible here. If you dont like it disable it in cockpit.ini file. This feature apears only in National Guard 85 model and bonus,

All serial numbers are proper for S(MC) / F model but am not sure if these numbers appeared in specific units.
some seiral are taken from available photos and are matched to units. Some are just placeholders but are correct for model block buid.
 
As far as i know all numbers in Desert Storm mod are correct.
 
Weapons.
 
Most of the weapon are same as in previous packs and are common to G/Q/S/P/E model.
Including XM158 and M200/M260/M261 launchers and for smoe late models M260 and M261 with Mk66 motor rockets.
TOWs BGM-71A/B/C/D
There is additional optional Suppressed Exhaust loaded via weaponstation.
Also here there is new M197 automatic cannon loaded via weaponstation.
 
One more thing. I am using mostly standard weapon effects.
Make sure to edit it your way if you decide to use this weapons.
 
Pilots:
I am using helopilots by OldDiego.
Some pilots models might be too big for this helo.

Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 'RCAF' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
 
This is a very simple mod of the stock Third Wire Meteor F.8 to create a fictional export version in service with the Royal Canadian Air Force with markings for 421 Sqd (natural metal finish) and 420 Sqd (Camo).
 

INSTRUCTIONS
 
1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Meteor8_RCAF folder into your main Aircraft folder.
 
2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Meteor8_RCAF folder into your main Decals folder.

Version 1 - 27/08/16

After WWII 31 Lavochin La-5FN fighters and La-5UTI were incorporated into the inventory
of newly formed Czechoslovak Air Force.
Czechoslovakia became the sole operator of the La-5FN outside the Soviet union.
In the CAF the La-5FN were designated S-95 (S for Stihacka - Fighter).
These aircraft remained in use after the type had been withdrawn from Soviet union.
By the end of 1948 most La-5FN had reached the end of thier life and were gradually
withdrawn from service use.

In 1945, 114 P-63C were delivered to the French Air Force (Armée de l'Air), but they arrived too late to see service in World War II.
They however saw service during the First Indochina War before being replaced in 1951.
Initially the French Kingcobras were deployed to Algeria.
Fighter squadron (Groupe de Chasse) 2/6 "Travail", previously equipped with P-39 Airacobras, received their Kingcobras on 18 July at Casablanca;
the pilots were surprised by the higher landing speed of their new aircraft.
The Kingcobra were scrambled to Indochina when the insurgency broke.
Only 60 Kingcobras were operational in Indochina in January 1950, mainly because the Americans refused to supply spare parts.
Starting in February 1951, the squadrons equipped with Kingcobra started to receive Grumman F8F Bearcats as replacements.
Most Kingcobras were mothballed by July. The last flight of a Kingcobra in Indochina took place on September 6, 1951.

This replaces my previous fake merlin S 31 and Fake Spitfire 19 (18) in TSF too.
 
(This has Griffon engine and the bubble canopy!)
