I've asked a friend, Logan aka "Laszlo" , to help me in a case, where i know, there are guys out there, who are far better than me. He said yes, and he suffered under my constant, questions, chats, and messages. but the result and work he put into this, is great! The attention to detail is high! This is still WIP but it is far better than i ever could produce. Im happy to show you those first pics. Our plan is to provide pits up the the M series WIP Su-17 Fitter B

I wanted to find a bigger use for the terrain I am making, and then this idea has come up. The USS Carl Vinson should have been around the Hawaii area by that time in RL. I imagine that a USMC unit from Hawaii gets forward deployed to the Midway Atoll to combat Soviet presence around Kure Atoll, which has gone dark since its LORAN station has been abandoned in the 70s. The campaign will pit the incoming USS Carl Vinson Carrier Group against the Novorossiysk and the Minsk Carrier Groups (the latter gets dispatched at a later time). I am having a bit of trouble in finding more info about the Soviet Pacific Fleet escorts and air squadrons. The USN units I chose should be correct for the period. There are still issues as the campaign is not balanced yet and Off Map Airbase air units don't seem to show up (though off map airbases work in single missions). More storyline details in the image below (little references to Ace Combat 5 for the few, good players who know it). If someone can help with more info about the Soviet Pacific Fleet, air units etc., I'd appreciate.

I usually go to no cockpit view, tilt down and zoom in, and take a screenshot. The game gives you a mission accomplished just for flying over the target that has to be photographed.

Actually it is from frame 1-10, frame 0 should be the object without animation keys. the movement is OK the way you describe. Although if you make a search (early warning) radar then simply look at the "spoonrest" or the "flatface" it does not need animation, just in the _data.ini have to define the modelnodename= that should turn (radar entry) and the timing you want. the game engine will handle the rest.

Disclaimer I left out most of the support vessels, as well as all submarine units. This is to keep this list to a reasonable length and provide information that is relevant specifically to Cold War Pacific air campaigns (this is Strike Fighters 2, not Cold Waters.) For further information, go to http://ww2.dk/new/newindex.htm Conclusion I hope this provides a good outline of the major combat units (excluding submarines; see disclaimer) of the Soviet Pacific Fleet circa 1983. As a side note, this information would be useful not only for this proposed Midway campaign, but also for a Kamchatka or Bering-Strait-themed SF2NA campaign using the respective terrains posted by other modders. Let me go on record saying that a Kamchatka-based campaign in the vein of the SF2NA North Cape Pack's Kola Strike campaign (itself a remastered version of the campaign of the same name from Fleet Defender) would be something that I personally would very much like to see. I trust that my work here will be of great utility to both this and future modding endeavors. As for Menrva, if you have any further questions of me, please post them on this thread or PM me. All information listed herein is taken from Michael Holm's website at http://ww2.dk/new/newindex.htm, and all credit is due him for compiling this information. My thanks to him for doing the legwork to find out all these minutiae.

Here are some links that might help... http://russianships.info/eng/ You'll have to go through the list manually, but it lists everything from patrol boats to boomers (and everything in between), complete with records of what fleet they were assigned to. In your case, you need Pacific Fleet units (many ships were transferred between fleets. Also, try this one... http://ww2.dk/new/newindex.htm The OOB information this site offers makes even my head spin. It has a Pacific Fleet OOB, but this is from 1988, so you'll need to do some digging. Is there anything specific you need to know (battlegroup composition, basing, etc.)? I can look that up immediately.

Recoinassance mission over Libano, night operations and a sad thing: i change the carrier objetcs for a new one, instead of TW CVA-63, and now every AI who try to land get fucked :( , and my campaigns are over.

DCS World Open Beta Update This week’s Open Beta update has some great updates to DCS World, the Hornet, and the Viggen. Highlights include: Hornet changes: added work-in-progress AGM-65F infrared-guided Maverick air-to-ground missile; corrected Hornet catapult launch roughness; added “Go to Tanker’ command for AI Hornets; corrected and improved the Hornet radar in RWS and STT modes; and corrected and improved operation of the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS). More great stuff coming in the 19 December update! Corrected potential for static objects not being visible to multiplayer clients Added removal or cargo in multiplayer based on scripting Viggen changes: greatly improved air-to-ground radar; corrected TERRNAV not fixing; and added scratches to canopy glass You can find the complete changelog here DCS: Combined Arms – Frontlines Georgia Campaign The Combined Arms Frontlines Georgia campaign is the first Combined Arms single player campaign. In this campaign you will experience many different aspects of Combined Arms combat in DCS World, from commanding many units over several different objectives to sitting in a tank and commanding a platoon from the driver’s seat. Key features: 11 Story driven missions (with supplemental missions if you have a stumble along the way) Command various ground units, from armor to transport Freedom to set up your air units load-outs before the mission starts 35+ unique voice overs With CA Frontlines, we hope you will learn and enjoy playing DCS: Combined Arms in ways you might not have ever thought about before. Campaign video See in the DCS e-shop DCS: F/A-18C Hornet Last month we added the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS), AGM-65E laser-Maverick, the FPAS page, updated Hornet Guide, and improved air-to-air radar performance. For this month we’ll be added the AGM-65F infrared-guided Maverick, GBU-10, 12, and 16 Paveway II laser-guided bombs, 13 new interactive training lessons, air-to-air waypoint (bullseye) and BRA information. We are also working on the AGM-88 HARM and datalink MIDS/MSI with improved IFF, but these may not be available until January 2019, based on testing results. Afterwards, other systems will be developed like LTWS/TWS air-to-air radar modes, GPS- and INS-guided weapons, further JHMCS features, and others. In parallel, we are working on the technology for air-to-ground radar and new FLIR rendering technology. These are very important to the Hornet’s AN/APG-73 radar and ATFLIR pod. Burning Skies Multiplayer Server For DCS World multiplayer pilots, the Burning Skies server is now testing our new dedicated server technology! This is acting as a test-bed to help us debug the dedicated software with many players participating. The dedicated server will form the backbone of DCS World multiplayer. Burning Skies is a World War II server with options to fly the Mustang, Spitfire, Dora, and Kurfurst. As an official server, will be supporting Burning Skies with prizes to the championship winners. For a fantastic World War II multiplayer experience, stop by and fly a sortie! Sincerely, The Eagle Dynamics Team

Every two seater unit for kilometres around seemed to be in on this raid which my Jasta 2 patrol was escorting. The target airfield suffered accordingly. Late April 1917, Flanders sector. Sadly, soon after this pilot misjudged a diving attack on an DH-2, resulting in a fatal collision. His successor is now flying with Jasta 4 in the Cambrai sector, in chilly November 1917. No DH-2s to worry over, but there are plenty of these fellows about, so things will be interesting, as well as cold.

I chanced installing this recently, as per the vague instructions, and it worked, giving a EAW 1.28d game. I just think, if someone who has no knowledge of EAW and tries this, they could be pleasantly surprised. They might like the game and might seek further information, hopefully arriving at Mark's cornucopia of EAW facts and data. My AVG anti-virus had no problem with the download and it's ultra-sensitive these days.

In the past I downloaded everything here on CombatAce from this author, most of it was just repacked from other files from other web sites offered as something new. I requested info from the author but never got any from him, so i deleted all his files I downloaded from CombatAce. So I'm with Russ, no documentation or text files, these files are just taking up space. All the large files are just WWI stuff applied over an earlier version of the game. I'd say anything after v1.29/1.30 is redundant anyway. EX: 1.40 isn't any better for use than 150.

The Anatra DS was a two seat Russian plane powered by a Salmson 9 cylinder, water cooled, rotary engine. The plane was therefore called the "Anasal", short for "Anatra Salmson". When the Ukrainian city of Odessa was occupied by Austria-Hungary early in 1918, the Anatra factory was found intact and production continued as the "Anatra C.I". Many of the first Austrian versions had the Austrian cross painted over the Russian insignia. The Anatra DS was used mostly for reconnaissance, but also as a fighter and light bomber. Many of them survived the war and were used in the fighting in Eastern Europe after the end of World War I. Poland declared its independence in late 1917. The new nation armed itself with whatever was available, including abandoned Russian, German and Austrian planes, and purchased planes from other nations. Several Anatra DS were purchased from the Anatra factory in Odessa. The Polish Anantra DS was identical to the Russian version, except for slight changes to the cowling, the radiator, and the rudder. The skins to my plane are similar, but not identical to my Russian version. As a resullt, I have included new skinning templates for the Polish Anasal. Historical Notes: I found several sources which said that Anatras carried a machine gun mounted on the fuselage for the pilot. I couldn't find any details of the mounting, so I guessed where it might be located. I don't know how the Poles armed their plane, so I used the guns I used on the Russian version. I also included a small bomb load. Credits: My thanks to Ojcar once again for making a new data.ini file for this plane. Installation instructions: For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "PolishAnasal" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "PolishAnasal" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "PolishAnasal". Move the folder named "D" from the Aircraft/PolishAnasal folder into the Decals/PolishAnasal folder you just made.
