2 pointsTo add some useless Information: The first few A4D-2 (A-4B) also had no refueling probe initially and the Radar altimeter under the left outer wing (barely visible in the picture) came with the A4D-2N (A-4C).

2 pointsMarch 27, 1999 - A group of 4 F-117A stealth aircrafts are ready for take off from Aviano to strike targets near Belgrade Usually F-117As were escorted by EA-6B Prowlers but that night wasn't the case... Due to bad weather Prowlers were grounded and F-117As were finally ordered to strike their targets without escort because their structure made enemy air defense radars very difficult to detect them Yugoslav spies acquired this critical information and transmitted it to Yugoslav Army Formation of F-117As followed the usual flight path and dropped paveways at its targets However the 3rd Battalion of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade of the Yugoslav Army commanded by Lt. Colonel Zoltan Dani operated S-125M Neva-M (SA-3B Goa) SAM system had relocated and had been waiting for enemy aircrafts to reach the area. Zoltan's unit successfully acquired one of the targets After some seconds the 82-0806 callsign "Vega 31" was tracked by unit's fire control radar. Missiles were ready on their launchers PUCK !!! (Launch) V-601P missile getting close... F-117A was hit and crushed shortly after. The rest is history... 20th Anniversary !!!

1 pointWith the all that's transpired in Venezuela over the past few months and the arrival of roughly 100 soldiers from the Russian Federation this week, this South American country has grabbed even more of my attention. I was always under the impression that they had an unusual collection of aircraft and were aware that even my countries' RCAF sold them 2nd hand CF-5As at one point. That said, I was surprised to find that their current air force is comprised of Sukhoi Su-30Ms (35) and F-16As (16.) That leads me to think a war of air supremacy between them and any likely adversaries, probably wouldn't be a stowing-fighters-in-revetments engagement that we've seen in some recent Middle East wars. They also have Mil Mi-17 (10) and Eurocopter Cougar (6) helos and a Boeing 707 tanker. All the aircraft are currently available for SF2 with the exception of the Cougar helo and I didn't check for the 707. Correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption though, that the Mi-17 is more or less the same helo as the Mi-8M which has already been modded? Unfortunately the terrain doesn't exist - closest to the theater is Central America and coastal Ecuador. Knowing nothing about how terrains are created for this game, I'm imagining a country the size of Venezuela (roughly 900-800 miles if your place a rectangle around it) with 3 significant mountain ranges, some deep basins and highly varied coastline would be one heckuva challenge. Not to mention that some part of Brazil or Columbia containing air bases would have to be created too. Without any skill to make it happen, I'll just dream about it. ;) I'm curious though if any other fans of this game think Venezuela would be an interesting theater to run some SF2 missions in? [Edit] I hope I'm not coming across as callous or insensitive, with suggesting a theater in which countless civilians are currently suffering. Like the handful of other conflicts raging around the globe, hardly a day goes by where I don't thing about those people - especially the children. But maybe it isn't cool to consider gaming in a theater where events are currently unfolding?

1 pointI might have few input to this (same thread) as I run into it occasionally too since that day. The "queued" state mostly comes for me when I drag the item into the text field. When that happens, I step off that page to some earlier one, then back to the newest, click into the field to write, when it says "restored data" then I press the option clear completely, and select the link "choose files", that way the upload goes fine. As I mentioned it is only from time to time occurrence not a constant.

1 pointSorry to hijack the thread. Small correction: the "Bottom_Thing" is the fuelvent + fueldump (the larger part is the dump and was also not there from the beginning of A-4B-production). Meshname for the Radar-Altimeter is "Rightwing-skid" - the naming is equally strange though.

1 pointPossibly never, but I still think about it. I'm planning on doing some more terrain targeting and adding additional towns to cover the entire area of interest. I'm also considering expanding the target areas to the east of the Rhine and adding some medium sized runways so players will have the option of operating medium bombers. In general, I want to make the terrain more interesting for single missions while keeping the campaign option open. As happens quite often, I got sidetracked by other "interesting things" and ended up with too many half finished projects.

1 pointThe bucket (Füllwerkzeug) is grouped together with the Gradient-tool (Verlaufswerkzeug in german) in newer versions. Edit: You can also arrange the menu according to your needs and have it ungrouped in newer versions.

1 pointI'm not patient and I just love throwing around the F-15 Super Pak against MiGs so you guys can move some mud!

1 pointI'd forgotten that i had this on a disk lying around. It's and old model (have no access to the newer lods), but it was still fun to fly. BTW, the Mig-25 was more of an annoyance than any real threat.

1 pointThis is an option if you have limited disk space and want to move mod folders to another disk or partition. Obviously bear in mind that if you are moving them from a SATA 3 SSD to a SATA 2 HDD then things will be a bit slower on the HDD. 1. Go to your mod folder (C:\Users\<>\Saved Games\ThirdWire) 2. Backup the game folder you are about to mess about with! 3. Copy (don't cut) the folder for the game you want to move, then paste it on the new location on your other disk / partition. 4. In the new location you can either remove or rename options.ini and version.ini. Here I have just renamed them: 5. Back to the original saved games folder now - just remove everything apart from options.ini and version.ini so you are left with: 6.Now to do the actual redirect open up the options.ini file and scroll to the bottom: [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=C:\Users\<>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel Editors=StrikeFighters2 [screenShots] Directory=C:\Users\<>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel\ScreenShots Format=JPG Change the paths to the location where you have moved all the folders to: [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=F:\SF2\StrikeFighters2 Israel Editors=StrikeFighters2 [screenShots] Directory=F:\SF2\StrikeFighters2 Israel\ScreenShots Format=JPG 7. then save and test the game.
