2 pointsView File La-5FN (Avia S-95 Cockpit) The La-5FN is the last of the La-5 modifications before improved La-7 and was one of the best prop planes. Designed to be contemporary to the universally feared German Bf-109, it maintains excellent energy retention, adequate speed, brutal acceleration, and an amazing turn rate. Consider this pit as is, therefore consider it as beta. As issued, the cockpit position in the cockpit ini is for the Dev-A Team's La-5. If used on any other, the position will require some positioning adjustments. Submitter starfighter2 Submitted 12/05/2019 Category Prop Cockpits

2 pointsIts a beauty! What a pity, that the development was canceled in favor of Ye-231, the later MiG-23S.

1 pointIn Britain we have suffered numerous terrorist attacks but I believe we are still resistant to the idea of becoming a Gun Toting people. That may have to change in the light of these attacks, and the fact the world is becoming a much more aggressive and violent place to live in. It seems the entire world is in conflict , with numerous wars and skirmishes between nations taking place every day and no end to the violence in sight. This raises a question in my mind, are we witnessing the end of our civilization, the final conflagration, World War 3, The Last Days. !!!

1 pointOh, it does. Get into an F-16C and fight an AI F-5E on Excellent or whatever. Bring the fight vertical, then swap between the aircraft as you go through the energy egg and you'll see just how much more energy the F-5 has as it goes high to low under twice the "g" load as your F-16. I noticed when I was doing this last night that the F-5E was at the low 100s KIAS at the top of the egg, then as it came down, it would be loaded up (as high as 6g at the bottom of the egg) and accelerating to the high 300s of KIAS. I, on the other hand, would be at the low 100s at the top of the egg, and as I came down slightly loaded up (only reaching about 2.5g until the base of the egg where I'd hit up to 3.8g), I would only make it to the mid-200s KIAS before coming back up. I'm sure some of it is my own hamfistedness, but an F-5 should NOT be able to out-accelerate an F-16C Block 50 on the way down such that it has more than a 100 KIAS advantage against the Viper. Flying against it in my most familiar mount, the F-14B, I can reliably and repeatedly defeat the F-5, but it does things it shouldn't be able to do against an F-14B, one of those being to out-climb the B-Tomcat. It basically does the same "Bathtub" tactic the F-15C does in spite of a far inferior T/W to the F-15 and F-14. Other ridiculous AI include the MiG-15 and F-86. The AI can maintain pitch and roll control down to 40KIAS. My group does PvP guns-only and you'd best believe that player flight models are far, far more realistic. Try to pull the same thing the AI does with a player jet and you're going to die. The thing that gets to me is just how random it seems. Some aircraft seem at least plausible in their AI form, while others are just UFOs. Just depends on the jet.

1 pointI don't think that comment was necessary, particularly in view of a work in progress. VBH has access to all the relevant pix of various WW Ii carriers, and I am sure his final product(s) will differ considerably from these initial pix.

1 pointView File Mikoyan-Gurevich Ye-8A and M This aircraft mod represents Mikoyan-Gurevich's Ye-8 experimental fighter and its fictional updated "M" variant. There are slight variations compared to the actual prototype and the pits are pure fictional as there are no pictures that show how that looked in its original form, so its a mix of various systems used or developed in that time frame that the aircraft was developed. This package comes with 3 skin set for each variant, with decals for Soviet aircraft, since birds for LSK and Czechoslovakia use stock decals. This model is meant for SF2 games only, and SF2 Europe is required as some of the skins use stock decal numbers. Install is the regular dropping the contents in their respective places. Please note: The model might gets heavy on FPS in large formations on weaker machines, so if required, either resize skin files or use lower lod "_nd" as lod1. New weapons are provided - some type specific - beside these the model uses the general Soviet weapons. Be aware - In the 1970's and later when AA-8 can be selected, manually double loadout of these can happen. Make sure to read the manual included with the package. -------------------------------------------------------- Creators of these Aircraft mods as members of CombatAce site: Aircraft 3d work: Logan4 Cockpit 3d work: Logan4 Aircraft FM: Gepard, Cliff7600, Logan4 Aircraft avionics: Cliff7600, Logan4 Skin files and decals: Gepard, Logan4 Cockpit files: Logan4, Cliff7600 There are certain texture sections that were borrowed from the Su-17 project which were originally created by Stary Thanks for 76.IAP-Blackbird for the original KS-3 seat, a modified version of it used in the cockpit file. 1 pointSo, I guess you all don't know about these...???? WBS made them at my request, and they should have been included in the KAW mods (both of them, iirc)
