5 pointsA new update for realSKY is in the works; fixed night ambient colour being too dark, slightly tweaked cloud textures from Cellinsky's Widesky mod, brand new sun flare, different space sun flare, smoother rainbow ring flare and newly recoloured Stary's original lens flare drops. Last but not least, a new experimental shader providing a minor bloom at daytime with Effects set to Unlimited, in place of the original blinding effect at dawn/dusk by TW. New horizon glow, fog and ambient colours, with reworked bloom shader. New sun and reworked lens flares, bloom effect being visible only with exterior views (thank your cockpit glass for not blinding you). Extra shots at high altitude, with new space sun flare textures.

2 pointsSound great I need to go back to my old models as they are in need of some fixing up as I have somewhat improved my modeling technique.
-
2 pointscoffee stand stoffee shmand they get good old US Army hobo coffee, just like the rest of the joes. boiled with the grounds in the 15 gallon pot, then 2 quarts of cold water to sink the grounds to the bottom. darker than motor oil, and enough caffiene to have you hearing the color purple on the midnight to 0400 radio watch ok, so yes the coffee that would be where the Colonel, First Sergeant and Sergeant Major (in ascending order of importance) are get the grounds strained out better. keep the big dogs happy and the cooks can get away with more in the field
-
2 pointsYou know what that is a good idea lol I need to add a coffee stand for the Major and his crew.
-
2 pointsI will try to give it a try as I have model it along time a go for my friend in janes fleet commander but it was a low-poly .

Strike Fighter Project 2 – Screen Overhaul v1.2 Customizable Edition The new version of SF2 Screen Overhaul 1.2 is now released. Here is the following screen this mod completely overhaul: - Main screen - Single mission screen - Mission editor screen - Hangar (Default) screen - Loadout screen - Planning screen - Roster screen - Campaign screen - Campaign editor screen - Pilot records screen - Options screen It does not yet cover another screen. It is work in progress (WIP) for now. What I am seeking for is feedback that will help me improving the mod further. It is one of my biggest projects I ever worked on for SF2. It gave me opportunity to grow a new skill I enjoy doing. NOTE: Now that SF2 Screen Overhaul is becoming a customizable version. If you make any mods that adds or change anything to this mod, please add my name and mod name to your credit part. You can contact me by PM in CombatAce (I am known as Eagle114th there) or Strike fighter series Discord chat (My username is Magic Dragon, so you can find me there too.) Version 1.2 NOTES: Buttons customization instruction: In Menu folder (SF2 mod folder), you will see various SF2 screen named as “BUTTONS_HANGAR, MAIN, OPTIONS, etc...), there are folders for each button. In order, to change the color of buttons, go to one of button folder, you will see different folders for various color. Copy the file from there and overwrite the files in any BUTTONS_(SCREEN) folder. For example, in BUTTONS_HANGAR, if I want to change the color of “LOADOUT” square button to blue; I go to the folder “LOADOUT”, then “Blue” folder, copy the files: LOADOUT0.bmp, LOADOUT1.bmp, and LOADOUT2.bmp. Then I paste (Overwrite) the files in BUTTONS_HANGAR. Screens and Buttons customization Templates In different “BUTTONS_(different screen names)”, there are folder “_Templates’. You can use it to change the designs, colors, or anything you want to do with the screen background or buttons. This mod uses a font known as Orbitron. I included it in _Fonts folder. I want to express my sincerely big THANKS to Menrva, Wrench, UllyB, Daddyairplanes, Wilches, JosefK, FalonCAF, and everyone else in CombatAce community for making this possible. You all have been a huge help. Because of Operation Desert Storm 30 years anniversary great mod, I was able to study the codes on how SF2 menu work, which led me into developing new menu for SF2. This mod is truly fun to fly in SF2. If anyone hasn’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it. There are detailed instruction that explains how to install in the proper ways in README file. LEASE READ IT BEFORE INSTALLING! I included the plans for the next version in the readme too. The feedback are always welcomed! -

1 pointAviation living it up lol. I had coffee a few times in the field but not often I drank it, and I did have pogey bait but probably not as much as Viggen.
-
1 pointThese little details on the ground objects are great! A coffee dispenser, who'd have thought?! I'm sure the platoon sergeants will be huddled around it. Plus it's cool to hear the insight and suggestions from daddyairplanes and EricJ. I was in the Army as well, but Aviation doesn't have any of these vehicles. And our field exercises were normally spent relaxing in a GP Medium eating whatever we brought along

1 pointUsually you put the dispenser on a table or the ramp though so it's easier to get the coffee.
-
1 pointGreat idea for the M577 with command tent, I could suggest you make a version for the other side using BTR-70 APC made by you, add some antennas

1 pointThis solved my problem with terrains. Your advice helped me a lot! From now on, I will have to keep every aircraft in SF2, even if I don't like it. At least, for any unused aircraft, I disable the cockpit by commenting it out in aircraft.ini. So it is not a problem at all. After restoring all aircraft, I am able to see all red side aircraft on the map. I am relieved. It means I have to do the same for another 4 of SF2 installation. Here comes my meditative coding times.
-
1 pointyou put it directly into the terrain folder itself, yes??? yo can open the bmp, and see it, right?? I've zipped it up' see if this one works. the pits should look like the image below Pit1.7z
-
1 pointI believe so. At least, that's what the "visual" evidence over the last several hundred years seems to support <gr>
-
1 pointBest Answer: They heard you were in the neighborhood, and ran away. Probable Real Answer: you don't need Dhimar and Paran listed; it's automatic on the desert terrain. By deleting the unused aircraft (which are all exported, including western birds ExportedToEnemy=TRUE), you removed the possibility of their random generation for Bad Guy (tm) usage. You'll have to reinstate them if you want E/As to show up

1 pointWe can finish 1st my Forrestal together then go for QE . I've no time for 3d last days ;-)

1 pointAgree with all of the above. SF2 has gradually drawn me in and taken more and more of my hobby time (from my other favourites IL-2 1946, MS Flight Simulator X, Orbiter, GT Legends and GTR 2 on Win XP and Win 7; and Forza Motorsport 4 on XBox 360). My installs have slowly evolved to where SF2 Vietnam is a Cold War Pacific based environment--with a detailed A-4K version of course, and I've really enjoyed recently installing Vampires, Venoms, Canberras (Kiwi and Australian) and USAF B-57s. I have some really nice customised Vietnam era F-4s naturally, and I like to have accurate historical loadouts for all my planes (but customised to suit my preferences for SF2 gameplay too). SF2 has a "sim-lite" reputation, but I find it interesting how many times it actually reflects real world experience. Just the other day I was reading about real world experience with convergance of the B-57B's 4x20-mike cannons, then found myself adjusting the "aim angle" ini parametetrs in the sim, and creating new weapon stations to support dual 5-inch HVAR racks per images in the real B-57B flight manual. I find similar parallels in gameplay too, for example modding the inis for my AI wingmen to fly lower in Europe; or working out methods for low-altitude level-bombing with Tornadoes and F-111s, and high-altitude bombing with B-52s. And my SF2 mod folders are becoming nice libraries of documents and references that I've found online. My SF2 Europe install specialises in mid to late Cold War USAFE and RAFG models, plus a growing collection of French Mirages. I'll be exploring the Hawker Hunter here too in the near future (including the Swiss Air Force models which I really admire). SF2 North Atlantic is home to some very nice customised Royal Navy models (HMS Ark Royal takes pride of place, and I have a cloned 'Royal Navy' terrain to get RN CVBGs and Amphibious Ready Groups for campaigns and single missions too). SF2 NA is also home to a customised Arctic terrain for my Air Defence Command interceptors (with customised Soviet Long-Range Aviation to create the style of gameplay I like for my interception missions). I've started exploring IAF aviation in my SF2 Israel install, and enjoy a customised KAW install too. My computer is very old--so I have to make lower rez versions of some mods to get good frame rates. I actually have a decent budget to build a modern Win 10 replacement, but I haven't done it yet--partly because the price of PC components (especially GFX cards) is outrageous right now, but partly because I still get so much enjoyment from my old but treasured sims on my ancient dual boot XP/Win 7 machine. Kind regards and much thanks to the community, Steve (Auckland, New Zealand)

1 pointThank you gentlemen really for you kind words, for the first time I really don't have the words to explain my feelings. I just want to say thank you for everything.

1 pointSomething else I'd like to say about GKABS. How many of you have noticed this first line in every one of the announcements for his uploads: There's something special about that simple statement. Even some of us that have been doing this for nearly 20 years don't see that sort of thing very often, yes?? THAT kind of courtesy is hardly seen these days, anywhere. I wanted to bring that to you all's attention. carry on, gents.

1 pointwell, its CenUS folder and MidWest USA. plugged straight in from a copy of the mod folders on the semi retired laptop. was unaware of any other Midwest terrain. but presuming its yours, and if you ever retool it, the city is so damn close to Midway when i flew out in April i could see faces in cars going by . iirc, couple years back there was an accident where an airliner overran the runway, through a wall and into traffic! mandatory screenie

Alternative .PSD Template for Hangars / Eagle114th Screen Overhaul (1920x1080) This is a Photoshop template for making your own hangars to use with Eagle114th Screen Overhaul I really want to keep my aircraft collection sorted, so when i saw Eagle114th's work i decidded to make some changes and include some more info about every aircraft (i keep them separated by country / service branch) How to Use: This template contains 4 masked Groups, 1 what-if stamp and 1 text layer. After successful operations of the An-24T tactical transport in austere locations, interest in a version with a retractable cargo ramp increased. Initial studies for he retractable ramp were carried out as part of the projected An-40 medium transport. When given the go-ahead for the An-26 in March 1968, the Antonov OKB adapted the ramp design of the An-40 to the An-24 fuselage, resulting in the An-26. Particular attention was given to the military mission, and the majority of early An-26 production was delivered to the VTA (voyenno-transportnaya aviatsiya). Using the majority of the An-24 airframe, with its high-set cantilevered wings, twin turboprops and stalky main undercarriage, the An-26 included military equipment, such as tip-up paratroop canvas seats, an overhead traveling hoist, bulged observation windows and parachute static line attachment cables. The An-26 made its public debut at the 27th Paris Air Show at Le Bourget where the second prototype, CCCP-26184 (c/n00202), was shown in the static aircraft park. The An-26 is also manufactured without a license agreement in China by the Xian Aircraft factory as the Y-14, later changed to be included in the Xian Y7 series. 0 pointsA very sad day for the Bulgarian Air Force. At 00.45h LT today a MiG-29A (9-12) of the BuAF disappeared from radar over the Black Sea during a night training mission. The crash site has been located with oil/fuel spills on the surface of the sea and small debris indicating the crash. The pilot is still missing, just an empty life jacket was found floating and the search and rescue operation has been unsuccessful so far. The chance to find the pilot still alive is getting slimmer every minute. My prayers are with him and his family.
