i'll go a few years later bad thing about the older topics, sometimes you gotta take a really educated guess. this is similar to the ADFs they flew before block 25, but no references specifically of the wing king in 1997-8

The sipri.org arms transfer database is another source, at least for an initial lead on various things. From memory: Egypt started with 9J's on the F-4E, quickly supplanted by AIM-9P-3 and also received AIM-9P-4 later in the 80's for F-16C. AIM-7E and E-2 for F-4E (dont know atm if they received the improved E-3). Mirages were fitted with Magic 1 and modified for AIM-9P-3, Ive seen photos of both configurations. The Farmers were modified for the 9P-3. EDIT: missile type (and some other info) from the 10+ years old Osprey books is outdated.

Hello everyone, Report for today: It have been quite a journey gathering the information while getting advice from our fellow modders here. (Thank you Crusader, DaddyPlanes, and everyone involved with this project), I have been working a lot on making copies of air to ground ordinances, ECM, and other equipment for Iranian F-4Ds and F-4Es. I am very happy with the result. After finding out some information about F-4Ds and F-4Es ordinances for air to ground (I am still digging even more through time): http://www.iiaf.net/f4/ This is the result with F-4Ds and F-4Es limited weapon selections: NOTE: This is still WIP, which means it will be improved further through times. Typo in the Attack sections , missing the S in Start... BTW: Iran had only the AIM-9J and a special export variant of the AIM-7E (AIM-7E IRAN). And thats it.

SF2 Lockheed YF-12A "Starduster" (Veltro2K) Redux... by Viper63a This started out as an add-on pack to the "What If... SF2 Lockheed (Y)F-12A Starduster by Veltro2K" pack released by Wrench, but by the time I got done with it...it became a stand alone pack. Nothing else is required, but if you want to download the inspiration for this pack, you can find it here... http://combatace.com/topic/76491-what-if-sf2-lockheed-yf-12a-starduster-by-veltro2k/ This pack adds the YF-12A "Starduster" and a new 1950/60s era pilot in grey flight suit. Comes complete with new skins, Hangar, Loading, Loadout and Decal files. As always, I recommend that you back up your mod folder before you install any new mod...just in case. * To install, simply unzip and copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" folder to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder and Overwrite (if needed). My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97 64-bit was..(yours may be different)... C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighter2... Original "Readmes" are in the Extra folder with some other goodies... Enjoy! =Viper= ---------------------------- Credits: Veltro2k for the YF-12A ???? for the J-79 engine and AB sounds -- spillone? fubar? !!!I can't remember WHERE they came from; Pasko for the orignal MiG Pilot figure and his F-106 cockpit (reused/modded herein) Wrench for the original ini work, decals and assembling the package ----------------------------

oh i was gettin happy to help since i was just tinkering with that in the Vipers.... but Crusader beat me to it by half a day, although i havent been on site til a few minutes ago as to the Egyptian missiles, look up the name of the Foriegn Military Sales contracts that it fell under (I think most anything Egyptian falls under Peace Pharoah, but not 100% sure for the Phantoms) then use your google fu to hunt down what else was in that contract. every focuses on the "24 Phantoms" or "48 F-16s". but in magazine, books and news clips its "$36 million worth of air to air missiles" anything over 10 years old should be able to be looked up (maybe even newer than that ). Look up Peace Pharoah I (just an example) and see what what contracted for. look at the national archives website, the stuff thats public knowledge (legally) should be accessable there that, once you line up deliveries with times, should tell you what was carried

Thank you for pointing my typo! About Iranian F-4 carryng AIM-9J only that is noted. I will share where I get information from. If the book I got reference from is incorrect, please let me know and I will still correct the loadout by removing AIM-9P-1. I still will share it with you, just in case if you haven't seen it. "Osprey - Combat Aircraft 037 - Iranian F-4 Phantom II Units In Combat" From one of the page in the air to air kills in Iran-Iraq War: May I ask you a few more questions for you if you don't mind, it is related to Eygpt aircraft: What kind of AIM-9s and AIM-7s does Egyptian F-4s, carry? And which AIM-9s does their Mirage 5SEE and 5E2 carry? Does Eygptian F-9 (J-9 Farmer), MiG-19s, besides specific MiG-21 ever get modified to carry AIM-9s? Sorry for asking too much questions. I feel like I just opened a paradox box when researching Iranian F-4Ds and F-4Es loadout after realizing SF2 got various aircraft loadout incorrect. By the way, if you have more free time in the future, may I request for your help with aircraft loadout in SFCE? Cheers Eagle114th

F-106A Delta Dart The Convair F-106 Delta Dart was the primary all-weather interceptor aircraft of the United States Air Force from the 1960s through to the 1980s. Designed as the so-called "Ultimate Interceptor", it proved to be the last dedicated interceptor in U.S. Air Force service to date. It was gradually retired during the 1980s. F-106A Project Six Shooter 1972 In 1972 F-106As were upgraded in Project Six Shooter that involved fitting the F-106 with a new canopy without metal bracing which greatly improved pilot visibility. Also added was an optical gunsight, and provision for a single M61 Vulcan 20 mm cannon. The M61 Vulcan had 650 rounds of ammunition in the center weapons bay and it replaced the AIM-26 Super Falcon or Genie. QF-106A Drone Pacer Six Between 1 June 1983 and 1 August 1988 the Delta Darts were incrementally retired and sent to the Military Storage and Disposition Center in Arizona. When the need for a high performance Full Scaled Aerial Target Drone was required the USAF began withdrawing Delta Darts from storage. Starting in 1986, 194 (F-106A and B) of the surviving surplus aircraft were converted into target drones and these were designated QF-106As and used for target practice vehicles under the Pacer Six Program by the Aerial Targets Squadron. The last was destroyed in January 1998.The drones were still capable of being flown as manned aircraft, such as for ferrying to a test; during the test they were flown unmanned. The QF-106 replaced the QF-100 Super Sabre drone; the last shoot down of a QF-106 (57-2524) took place at Holloman AFB on 20 February 1997 after which the QF-106 was superseded by the QF-4S and QF-4E Phantom II drone. EDIT COMMENT: For SF2 builds... just ensure AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll in Objects\Aircraft\B-1R\B-1R.INI and you will at least have a functioning radar & some RWR sounds. AIM-120s work again. Now you have a self-escorting bomber and almost an EB-1C Megafortress out of a Dale Brown novel in SF2 builds.
