Jane's best games, so thats good you are working. I am downloading your mod but i dont know when iwill try it. Thanks. Oh the good old days when textures were stored in unencrypted archives! I look inside the archive. For looking at the instruction it needs the registration at the forum. No guest view. Anyway i have even Windows XP

Hello everyone! I want to let everyone know that there are modding community for Jane's Figther Anthology and Jane's USAF. You can find us by discord: https://discord.gg/a8rjdVEh I started the project overhauling the texture with upscaling and "super resolution" techniques. Jane's USAF runs smoothly on Windows 10 / 11. I wrote the guide a while ago about how to install and run jane's USAF on Windows 10, which can be used on Windows 11. Here is the link: (OUTDATED, no longer need to install new .exe and reshade, all is included in JUCE now. The only thing you need to do is to install Jane's USAF and update it with offiical Jane's USAF patch.) https://www.vnfawing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=31023#31023 DOWNLOAD LINK for JUCE v1.2: https://www.mediafire.com/file/hvkjh94pshc6x6m/_JUCE+v1.2.zip/file Jane's USAF deserve to be revived so people can re-experience masterpieces made by Jane's combat simulation team. Here are screenshot, so you can see the difference: Originial Jane's USAF: JUCE version: The texture is based on excellent work of MigBuster airport texture for SF2. His name is included in README file as well. Please note, the texture is upscaled to 8x, then the texture get replaced with new texture, then re-sized back to 2x of the orignial resolution. The reason why I stay with 2x resolution for now is due to the limitation of Jane's USAF engine for now. UPDATE: With help from Tcklbrry, I am able to have texture maximum of 1024 height / width instead of 512. The new version of JUCE (v1.1 onward) will start using higher resolution texture up to 1024 height / width. Thank you for enjoyng the mods Cheers!

I will tell my family to pray for her. Remember that it is a sickness and that she will need help from all her family and friends to recover from it. Also do not forget to look after your own mental health. Caring for her will be stressful on you and your family.

Keeping you and your family in thoughts and prayers GKABS. Am wishing you the very best and a positive road to recovery for your Daughter, I can't imagine how desperate she must have felt but I have no doubt that your love and strength will help her heal in the long term.

One step at a time my friend, tread lightly but firmly. She may hate you now but with some care and time hopefully things will come right in the end. This will affect you and your family badly but don't forget you have many friends on here who I'm sure would be great listeners if you ever need to talk.

I went through something similar with my stepdaughter recently. It's a devastatingly painful situation. My heart goes out to you and your family. Just know that these things can be healed with hard work and time. Nothing is guaranteed but there is hope for a positive resolution.

Progress isn't much. I've gotten things done for the cockpits and stuff, and may or may not work on new skins for the Block III, but here's the changelog for things I have already done on my end: 6.0 - Tweaked ALQ-99G textures to better represent real-life pods - Tweaked ECM values for all of the aircraft, adding power to the internal jammers and enhancing capability. - Fixed [DetectSystem] on the EA-18Gs - Added more numbers for the EA-18G VAQ-140 and VAQ-130 skins, numbers go from 500 to 505. Also fixed the decals.ini file for both skins and updated the numbers.lst files too. - Added the promised VAQ-132 skin for the EA-18G. - Tweaked the Readme, doing some grammar stuff and updated some things - Added more loadout options for the Escort Jammer, Early Warning, and an OIR loadout for the USN EA-18G - Updated the "default" VAQ-130 skin for the EA-18G. - Removed carrier entries for the RAAF aircraft, so they don't spawn on carriers. - "EA-18G" folder has now been renamed to "EA-18G_BlkII" so it doesn't conflict with other EA-18G mods. - Thanks to allenjb42 the aircraft now fold wings on carriers. Due to common sense, the canopies will stay closed. - Tweaked radars for the Block III jets, now have improved range. The search range is 137 miles, and the track range is 100 miles. - Block III jets have new cockpits modified by Coupi. Unfortunately due to the lack of a dedicated cockpit modder this is what we can do with the game engine. If Brain32 returns, I will ask him if he can do a more realistic cockpit. - Increased thrust for the Block III jets (all except RAAF) by 20%, in line with real-world engine upgrades - Added an internal sound courtesy of crisisloaner for the internal cockpit sound. - KNOWN ISSUE: Due to the lighting on the 3D mesh of the displays for the Block III cockpit, the NVG (both types) filters by simonmiller416 at night cause the various panels for the cockpit to light up to be unusable. There is no fix for it at this time, so you will have to use a Block II or Block I aircraft if you want to fly at night (Block II EA-18G if you fly it). - Used the AIM-120D texture and 3D model by ravenclaw_007 for it.

Journal of FCdr Douglas Bell-Gordon, RNAS Part 23 14 October 1917. Bray Dunes, France. "At Ghistelles, I turned over the Hun sheds and let loose the bombs – two hangars went up in flames!" On Thursday, 27 September 1917, we moved yet again. This time our move took us a few miles farther east to an aerodrome called the “Middle” or “Frontier” aerodrome, just south of the community of Bray Dunes and very close to the border with Belgium. The new field was flat and expansive, and we shared it with several other British and French squadrons. The French occupied the more southern parts of the area while 9 and 3 Naval occupied the more northern parts along with a couple of RFC squadrons flying RE8 two-seaters. As can be imagined, the place was alive night and day with the sounds of aero engines, gramophones, laughter, annoyed petty officers, dogs, and French arguments. We settled in quickly. The wardroom played host to friends from nearly every squadron in the north. Squadron Commander Norton began to make his presence felt. He encouraged his flight commanders to study war flying as a trade. When the weather permitted, he hosted lunch for the flight commanders in his cabin. The topics were always the same – an overview of operations, equipment and tactics, personnel issues, and recommendations for improvements. He recognised that in the air service, the officer pilots had a life quite separate and apart from the lower decks. He worked it out with the Chiefs that each flight commander would be held personally responsible for the development and welfare of other ranks attached to their flight, provided that training, discipline, and development initiatives were to be coordinated with and administrated through the appropriate Chiefs and Petty Officers. He even set aside some non-public funds for use by the flight commanders for purposes beneficial to their men. We immediately set about procuring some battered hockey sticks (ice, not field) and turned the carpenters to the task of building rudimentary boards for an indoor “rink” that could be erected on the concrete floor of one of our oversized hangars. A tennis ball would substitute for the puck. It would be 9 Squadron versus 3 Squadron on a date to be determined. October began with a series of mostly inconclusive engagements between our Camels and Albatros scouts. We learned to recognise the German Navy aircraft by their distinctive black-and-white stripes, and a fierce rivalry sprung up. Banbury claimed the first Hun shot down since our recent move. On 4 October, I led B Flight to drop bombs on the enemy airfield at Ghistelles. As soon as we had formed up, we headed north over the sea and then turn east toward Ostend. From Ostend to the target was one long, shallow dive. At Ghistelles, I turned over the Hun sheds and let loose the bombs – two hangars went up in flames! Now it was time to pull up and away, but as I did so I spotted a purple and green two-seater taking off from the field below. I kicked the rudder over and dived on it when it was still barely a hundred feet up. My rounds splattered across both upper wings and onto the cockpit area. The enemy machine rolled to the right and dived straight into the ground. Finally I had another confirmed victory. This success was followed on 10 October when our ship’s bell sounded the alarm in the late morning. We ran to our machines and took off as quickly as we could, for German bombing machines were in the area. Friendly AA fire alerted me to the presence of two Rumplers. One of the Huns turned to fight me while the other ran for home. I caught the aggressive fellow in a tight turn and saw his machine, powered in the air after a short burst at close range. There was still time to catch the second Hun before he made the lines. This one too fell out of control and crashed. I was credited with the first EA but was one of three Camel pilots firing at the second, so I withdrew my claim. We held the hockey match on the afternoon of 11 October. Mulock’s boys led off the scoring and were soon up 2-0. We had a strong contingent of French spectators from the two escadrilles across the fields. They interrupted the proceedings by presenting the Canadian team captains with bottles of apple brandy – potent stuff. It was announced that since the game was being played on French soil it had to be played by “French rules.” Any team who scored had to down a stiff belt of brandy, so double brandies were poured for the 3 Squadron side. This ingenious system evened the game wonderfully and we arrived at our designated break (we play two halves instead of three periods) tied four-all and pleasantly tight. The second half was a comedy act. Anderson from 3 Squadron was sick on the concrete floor, and our 9 Squadron side insisted this was because for a penalty shot. The matter was resolved amicably when our own man, Edwards, also was sick. By the time each side had reached seven goals the score was forgotten and most of the players simply sat down and held their heads while “Hugo”, a mongrel mix of mostly terrier extraction disgusted us by licking the floor clean. The French were highly entertained. Then on 12 October we flew a defensive patrol down toward Ypres. There we encountered a formation of DFWs and fell on them. I dived on one and saw the enemy pilot pitch forward in his seat. The machine began to tumble and fell from 8000 feet, landing just northwest of the stricken city. This was followed the next day by another DFW which I met over the lines whilst patrolling just across the river Yser. My first burst silenced the gunner and I closed to within twenty yards before administering the coup de grace. "I dived on one and saw the enemy pilot pitch forward in his seat." This brings my tally up to 21 confirmed. Time for a binge!

I have sent the 10th version of the Alternative Skins Mod to Sandbagger, so it should be posted sometime soon. There are about 80 new personal skins in this new release. Some are the markings on documented aircraft for which the pilot is not known, some are for use with a certain Staffel but most will work in a number of units. Look at the ReadMe file and it will explain the reasoning behind the markings.

NEW SKINS RELEASED All two-seater skins have been removed from the User Skins, More Skins and Alternative Skins mods. I have placed them in a separate Two-Seater Mod. So now there are four. A number of new fighter skins have been added to the Alternatives for Staffels 37/40/41/41/43/44s/45/46/48?49 and 50. No 8th skin pack was created for these latest skins. Instead, the 96 new fighter skins have been added to Pack 1 to fill up the space left by the removal of the two-seaters that were there. There has been significant shifting of skins between mods and numerous tweaks and corrections. So, it will be necessary to download all four mods to avoid duplications and that warning message that comes up if you have the previous version of one of these Mods and add the new version of another that has some of the same skins in it. The ReadMe files have been changed as well. I eliminated all the change logs as most of them are not really relevant and have become tedious and confusing over time. They could still use a little work but they’re good enough for now. The most significant feature of these new releases are the Roland skins. These are possibly going to be added to the WOFF Skin Pack in the future, but I am releasing them in the interim. The panels and fittings have been altered to represent six different production models, along with various new camouflage schemes. There are fewer unit markings and some new ones that have a historical basis. I have moneyed around with the Pfalz DIIIa skins. I started out just adding some bling to a few, examples below, but ended up adding some new features to them. I, evidently, have no self control. OvStachel is working on a complete refresh of the Pfalz, which will take some time. In the interim, I have reworked the lozenge wings and fuselage fittings on my modified skins, and I will rework some of the earlier ones as time permits. The skins in the WOFF Skin pack do not have these modifications unless they are ones I modified previously for the Alternate Skins Mod. When Ov releases his new Pfalz in the future, these will all have to be pulled and redone if they are not part of his refresh. The refresh includes a new mapping for the Pfalz skin, and the present ones will not work on it. But that won’t be for some time, possibly years . I have made four new personal skins with these modifications for you guys to use for your own personal markings, or just to fly as is. For references on the fabric application, shading, fitting and other changes to the skin, I mostly used, Windsock’s Datafile 21 and their “PFALZ DIIIA AT WAR!” volumes 1 and 2. The Wingnut Wings website was also very useful. Plus, I referred to mockups of OvStachel’s new work for comparison.

I would like you all to pray for my baby girl (21 years old) as she tried to commit suicide two days ago, and now we have moved her to the Psychiatric hospital to be under observation for 10 days or more. She hates me for it but I don't want to lose her. Please pray for her and our family to get through these hard days. I wouldn't be around for a while. Take care,
