IIRC, Sea Power, they're Triassic Games, they were (with ?) Killerfish previously, they already published War on the Sea, Atlantic Fleet, Pacific Fleet and Cold Waters. As much as a loss it is to SF2, they seem to have life happen to them and seem to be on a reasonnably succesful roll so I'm glad for them.

The Nimrods transition from the MR.1 to the MR.2 and shift to low viz schemes, but the mission to protect UK waters continues... Royal Navy ships shadow a Soviet naval force in the North Sea as the Nimrods keep up aerial surveillance.. Heading home to their forward deployed base at Sumburgh in the Shetlands..

Donbass Beta 0.40 ***************************************************** Southern Ukraine and Crimean Peninsula Terrain THIS IS STILL A BETA VERSION!!!! ============================ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This terrain is written for SF2E. It works well with SF2NA. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: The south and the east of the Ukraine are battlegrounds in mid 2022. At the moment nobody knows how the war will end. This terrain covers the most parts of the Ukraine and some parts of the Russian Federation. But only the southern war theater and the crimean peninsula are included in this terrain so far. Airfields and some other target areas are placed on the map. Further improvements will come. I made the airfields in their shape as realistic as possible. Only 3 airfields are more or less freestyle. At the moment the terrain is made for scenarios around the Crimean peninsula. Offensive operations are more focused for the ukrainian side. In ukrainian strike missions you can fly against airfields, factories, depots, Sewastopol harbour and support facilities and a dense SAM network. For the russian side you can only fly against enemy airfields. At the moment possible mission types are: Sweep, CAP, Escort, Intercept, Recon, Strike and SEAD missions. The terrain is set as NavalMap=FALSE, but it is prepared for NavalMap=TRUE. If you use SF2NA as basic game you may change the setting, so that carrier vs carrier operations will be possible. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ II. INSTALLATION: To run this terrain you need SF2NorthAtlantic or SF2 Israel or SF2 Europe. Unzip all files into your saved game folder ...ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2XXXX Thats it. If you have SF2Europe installed you must do nothing more. If you miss SF2E and have SF2Israel you must open file Donbass.ini with Notepad editor and look for the lines: //CatFile=..\IsraelME\IsraelME.cat CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat change the entry into: CatFile=..\IsraelME\IsraelME.cat //CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat save the file ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ III. THIS IS NOT UNDER THE COMBATACE FREEWARE LICENSE ACCORD YOU MAY - Have fun with this mod - Use it as you see fit once you download it, even modify it as you see fit - Create your own textures as you see fit and upload them under your name IF you wish to send me any modified core files (I don't need to review skins as that doesn't affect any core files) please PM me the modified files and I will check them out. There is no exception to this policy given my attitude towards staying out of jail. I will check them out and yay or nay the decision, but if I can edit any files in order to not go to jail, I will inform you and that will be it. I understand you may have information of a sensitive nature that you may have access to and frankly it does not belong in any files of this download. If that bothers you then please don't send me sensitive information, I think I've made it clear that I'm not going to jail in order to appease to players. http://combatace.com...24-my-projects/ Newer skin PSD with Block I ECS (no stacks) now available for skinning needs: http://combatace.com...-skin-template/ - Fixed some glaring errors in the INI files.

SF2 Tornado Fmk.3 ODS30 Squadrons ------------------------------------------------------------- This pack contains the stand-alone version of the Tornado Fmk.3 aircrafts from "Operation Desert Storm: 30th Anniversary". This mod contains accurate ODS livery, nose art and serial numbers from ODS. This is just a sample of what you will find in the expansive "Operation Desert Storm: 30th Anniversary" pack. You can download "Operation Desert Storm: 30th Anniversary" here... https://combatace.com/files/file/17521-operation-desert-storm-30th-anniversary-edition/ !! Please don't forget to maintain the number sequence in the sound list. 3) Check, ensure (or update) all the squadrons in this pack is in your "SQUADRONLIST.INI" file. Once you look at that file, you will know what to do. * Please note that some squadrons may have multiple CO planes, this is not a mistake. Rather than just picking one CO, I am representing all the COs for that squardon during the period. So both COs could pop up in given scenario. OFFICIAL USAF DOCUMENT CLASSIFIED: TOP SECRET Ground Strike Mission Orders Ha'il - Jan 17, 1991 PRIMARY TARGET INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY: Saddam's Elite Republican Guards are known to be the primary threat to our ground forces when the ground war begins. Accordingly, CENTCOM has ordered the destruction of these units by our air forces to commence immediately. OBJECTIVE: Photograph the Rep. Guards at Baiji SECONDARY TARGET INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY: An experimental search and tracking radar system is being installed at an enemy SAM site. Sources indicate it may already be operational. Detailed, low-altitude photos are required as soon as possible. OBJECTIVE: Photograph the SAM radar at Al Kumayt I usually don't like what ifs, but a funny take on the ODS 30AE mod brought me to rediscover @Julhelm's fantastic F-19, which was released as part of the RSR mod by eburger68. I've been making lots of changes to it, including adding proper hit boxes and collision points, reworked skins and aircraft characteristics and loadouts meant to resemble the ones of Microprose's F-19 Stealth Fighter game. Julhelm's original F-19; missing hit boxes and featuring a bubble canopy Reworked F-19 featuring a caged canopy ala F-106 (by repainting the canopy glass), proper hit boxes, more collision points and reworked skins (euro camo skin by kblomkvist, no markings skin by yours truly) It still features two weapon bays (unlike Microprose's exaggerated four bays), but with properly reworked limits; you can have 4x Sidewinders or 3x AMRAAMs in one of the bays, 2x bombs and AGMs (sometimes just 1x), depending on overall weight and size. A 20mm cannon is on the nose with 680 rounds, and an extra 1,900 lbs fuel cell has been added for a total of 11,800 lbs of fuel; non-afterburning engines. An (invisible) arrester hook has been added since Microprose's version could also operate from aircraft carriers. I'll be asking Julhelm for his permission to eventually re-release it, with due credits to him of course. I wish the 3d model could be edited, so we could have a proper caged canopy instead of a painted bubble canopy, as well as a visible arrester hook. We have no proper fictive cockpit for it, ideally I'd like to have the canopy frame of an F-106 and MFDs of an Hornet.

Just like my former mod, this is a shader that can change the original color of the game to make it close to the color of Green Phosphor Image Intensifier Tubes in reality. This one is more like AVS6/9 NOD usded by USAF during 1990s-2000s And Of course, it will also really brighten the brightness of the picture, highly recommond you guys use it with Realsky Environment Mod. =========================================================================================== Usage/ Read Me!!!!!: 1.put [TWPOSTPROCESS.FX] into your SF2's Flight folder【Back up recommonded】; 2.check your graphics option and make sure Effects Detail choosed for Unlimited; 3.make sure your Mission Start Time choosed for Night; 4.fly and control the night! This is a shader ,so even in day time the night vision effect will trun on,delete [TWPOSTPROCESS.FX] to return default.

IMPORTANTE!!! Antes de instalar la skin es importante tener el avión de denissoliveira. IMPORTANT!!! Before installing the skin it is important to have denissoliveira's plane. If you want to modify my skin, add something or whatever, I would be very grateful if you give me the corresponding credit, since it took me a long time due to the lack of a template that facilitates my work. Also give the corresponding credits to denissoliveira for the plane and the skin on which he works. With nothing more to add, I hope you enjoy the skin.

War Journal – Lieutenant David Armstrong Hawkwood 23 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps Izel-lès-Hameau, France Part 27 "The Hun zoomed vertical, stalled, and fell away beneath us in a spin." During the last ten days of July, there was a noticeable beefing up of the German defences in the face of our attacks. King and I flew twice on 22 July, taking many photographs of new enemy trenches and wire in the area of Le Sars and Courcelette. Rain and low cloud swept in on 23 July, frustrating our further efforts. Major Ross-Hume again insisted on sending up a machine that morning. Within half an hour of taking off into the dense cloud, the thing hit a hillside several miles away. Both pilot and observer merged miraculously unhurt, but the observer, a young officer recently arrived from the Manchesters, was so shaken by his experience that he has requested to return to the trenches. We had good fortune on 24 and 25 July. On both days we photographed enemy defences and returned unscathed with many good plates. On 26 July, we conducted a reconnaissance of roads and rail lines east and north of Martinpuich. The clouds were too low for good photographic work to be done, so King made extensive sketches and notes. Archie was merely sporadic and thoughts of eggs and bacon were filling my head when suddenly two rounds smacked into the side of the nacelle, only inches from my elbow. I turned about as quickly as the Fee would allow. A Hun biplane, likely a Halberstadt, flashed overhead. Two Fokkers passed beneath. King instantly threw his notebook to the floor and readied his forward Lewis gun. We turned about several times. The Germans showed themselves only for a second here and a second there. I reversed our turn from right to left. A Fokker appeared above us and to the left. I brought our machine up behind it and King’s Lewis gun began barking out in short, five-round bursts. A thin stream of smoke or vapour began to trail from the Hun machine. Looking all about, we saw no other HA. The damaged Fokker was heading home and we were able to catch up with it. King gave it a long burst. The Hun zoomed vertical, stalled, and fell away beneath us in a spin. We lost sight of it. On our return to Le Hameau, we reported the Fokker as falling out of control. It certainly seems that way to us. Unfortunately, we had no witness and Wing modified our claim to “driven down”. I have at least the satisfaction of thinking that this is the second Hun that King and I have accounted for. We made a point of heading into the village for a celebratory tea that afternoon. The rain returned and continued through the first day of the new month.

The F/A-18EA Argentinian Hornet is a special F/A-18E variant operational in the Argentinian Air Force. The plane was acquired in early 2010, along with missiles and precision guided munitions. Several modifications, realized by INVAP and FADeA ended up with the creation of the EA variant, wich is capable of firing French SBUs and Exocets. Releasing soon.

This is a shader that can change the original color of the game to make it close to the color of White Phosphor Image Intensifier Tubes in reality. Of course, it will also really brighten the brightness of the picture.

MiG-21SMT *************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History One of the major problems of the MiG-21 was the short range of the plane. The reason for it was the small internal fuel volume. To solve the problem additional tanks on the back were installed. First one in the MiG-21PF, later three beginning with MiG-21R. When the soviet Air Force demanded to make the MiG-21 to a nuclear weapon platform soon the short range seemt to be the major problem. So the designers took the latest version of the bird, the MiG-21SM and increased the fuel capacity of the back tanks dramatically. The MiG-21SMT was born. In the troops the plane was not liked very well. The pilots hated it to fly such an non agile plane. The plane got the nickname "Humpback" and this was not meant positive. Later a lot of SMT were reworked "in field", the big backtank was removed and replaced by the backtank of the MiG-21bis Lasur. Such reworked planes were called MiG-21ST. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. CREDITS: While making the MiG-21SMT i used a lot of files made by other modders. Thanks for this files! The LOD file is made: ~~~~~~~~~~ by TK The skin is made: ~~~~~~~ by Spillone104 The flight model is made : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by TK and modded by Spillone104 and a little bit by me The Cockpit is made ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Paladrian (Mago) The mods for the engine exhausts, nose antennas and pitot tubes and the big backtank for the SMT are all made ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Spillone104 ---------------------------------------------------------- III. INSTALLATION: -Unzip the folders into your object folder ---------------------------------------------------------- IV. For remarks, comments, bugs, etc please use the forum or send me a PM. ------------------------------------------------------------- V. The MiG-21SMT and all containing files are FREEWARE. COMMERCIAL USE IS NOT ALLOWED! The additionally parts are NOT FREEWARE. Please check the readme of that files. ------------------------------------------------------ VI. Known issues The plane is prepared for the file RED3201 which is taken from Red_Pilots_Part1 pack. SF2 Chengdu F-7M Fishbed Series Pak by Mod Mafia/TMF = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) = *Note: There is a distinct possibility that this mod MAY work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However, some data ini and avionics statements will =NOT= be in effect in 1stGen SF/Wo* at any patch level (with the possible exception of WoI plus it's ExpansionPak -this has not been tested, as I ONLY mod for SF2). It is designed for use in SF2, at the most current patch level. Your milage will vary!* One of the "newer models" that were never quite completed when Bpao passed away a few year back. I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to complete his work, as a member of the Mod Mafia. This package represents the F-7M (aka: J-7IIM) in PLAAF and Export service. Skins included in the pack are: China1 (white-ish in color) Iran Iraq (may not be historically correct!) Pakistan Silver2 (tagged 'generic' nationality) The PLAAF and Silver2 skins use stock VPAF Bort numbers (again, not historically correct -I'm hoping someone will pick up the decal ball, and create correct ones) Several of these export models have a start default date that corresponds with the 'End User Start Dates', ie: Pakistan in 1990,etc, as defined in the userlist.ini. All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are the older tga versions. All markings are decals,(excepting National Markings, which on some skins are painted on), and reference stock 3W items. The PLAAF Bort numbers may be incorrect; skinner/decal makers are !ENCOURAGED!! to create more correct ones. All sounds, seats, and some etcs, are included. Weapons, for the most part, reference those already "stock" in-game items. However, in the usual "CYA" effort, a Chinese A-A missile is included. These come from the GunnyPak. "Newish" coding in SF2 allows for 'nation specific loadouts'; this has been used for those nations using Western style weapons. The Canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. The RWR.lst for the F-7M references many items from dtmdragon's Updated Threat Library; the url/download link I cannot find! They were included in the J-7 Pak recently uploaded When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown Menu... Chengdu F-7M (TMF) However, due to national model changes, some of the texturesets ini will show the pertantiant type (ie: Pakistan, F-7MP) This will differentiate all these aircraft from any others you may have, either stock, user-made, imported from China, or whathaveyou. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please -READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explinations, clarifactions, illuminations and so forth. A full listing of credits, as always, is below the Install Instructions. SF2 Northrup F-89 Scorpion Remod Pack (V.3) 5/25/2019 *For SF2, Any & All (Full 5 Merged Prefered)* This is a repackaging, and MAJOR update of the F-89 Scorpion series of 1950s USAF All-Weather Interceptors. There have been many changes to the various inis, skins/decals, weapons, and whatnots. This is to be considered to be "Version 3", and hopefully the final time the F-89 gets a revamp (unless new models magically appear). This package builds on and improves from the v2 pack dated 3/3/2016. It also replaces that mod completely. This package contains ALL the various marks of the Scorpion, including those later variants built from/modded of Monty's original C & D model LODs. There are several new skins, marked with the star (*) You have herein: F-89C: 57th FIS, (Keflavik, Iceland) 74th FIS, 23rd FIW (Thule AFB, Greenland) F-89D: 75th FIS (Presque Isle AFB, Maine 1955) 84th FIS (Hamilton AFB 1955-59) 64th FIS (Alaska Air Command) 321st FIS, (Paine AFB, WA 1954)* F-89H: 321st FIS, (Paine AFB, WA 1956)* 75th FIS (Presque Isle AFB, Maine 1957) F-89J (Early): 321st FIS, (Paine AFB, WA 1958)* 449th FIS (Ladd AFB, Alaska) F-89J (Late) 59th FIS, Goose Bay Labrador (1958-60)* 178th FIS "Happy Hooligans" ND ANG (1958-66) 124th FIS, Iowa ANG (1962-69)* Several versions also have a "Generic USAF Silver" skin, complete with decals. You may notice several squadrons used the Scorpion in several of it's various incarnations. This is historically correct. Due to mesh/node mapping reasons, some marking remain painted on. A large number however, are decals. Serial numbers are 100% correct for the models depicted, but should be considered 'generic' as they don't represent actual aircraft with a given unit. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. Squadron's listed in the stock game's SquadronList.ini have their names activated via my 'fake' SqTail decal. Those will display their proper names on the Loadout Screen's Squadron Selection Window. When possible, the SF2 'date switch' has been used to turn on Air National Guard units as they became equipped with F-89s. On such aircraft that have operating canopies (those that use the F-89D lod), the canopy works via the Standard Manual Animation Keystroke (tm), shift/0. Included also are "Scorpion" specifc weapons (using the "StationSpecifieCode=" statements. Nuke explosion effects are included for the AIR-2 Genie rocket. As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. See "Notes" section for full change log and other important statements. The various other readmes, from all previous versions remain wherever they were originally residing. Good Hunting! SF2 Chengdu J-7 Fishbed Series Pak by Mod Mafia/TMF (v.2) 11/12/2023 = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) = An upgrade pack for the 3 J-7 Fishbeds built by The Mod Mafia/Mirage Factory. This is the full set as issued in 2012. This is EVERYTHING, all the aircraft, weapons, pilots etc. These aircraft have had their FM revised to something more SF2-ish, with all hit boxes and collision points also revised. It is designed to REPLACE, in total, all previous versions. Yes, you may just drop these over your originals. Backup copies of the data inis are all supplied as a "just in case CYA". === Some of several "newer models" that were never quite completed when Bpao passed away a few year back. I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to complete his work, as a member of the Mod Mafia. This pack contains 3 of the J-7 Fishbed series, as built and operated by the PLAAF (People's Repbulic of China), and exported to some other folks. They are: Chengdu J-7I Chengdu J-7II Chengdu J-7IIA The J-7I and II have only PLAAF skins. The J-7IIA (exported as F-7B) has skins for PLAAF Iraqi Air Force (folder called "Camo2") Islamic Republic of Iran AF (folder called "Camo1") All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are the older tga versions. All markings are decals,(excepting National Markings, which on some skins are painted on), and reference stock 3W items. The PLAAF Bort numbers may be incorrect; skinner/decal makers are !ENCOURAGED!! to create more correct ones. A user list is included for all, even for the I & II, which were NOT exported All sounds, pilot figure(s), seats, are included. Weapons, for the most part, reference those already "stock" in-game items. However, in the usual "CYA" effort, Chinese A-A missiles are included. These come from the GunnyPak. The Canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0. The RWR.lst for the J-7IIA references many items from dtmdragon's Updated Threat Library; the url/download link I cannot find! So, I've just went ahead and included all the various RWR tgas that I had (in the /Flight folder included in this zip) When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown Menu, for each one... Chengdu J-7I (TMF) Chengdu J-7II (TMF) Chengdu J-7IIA (TMF) This will differentiate all these aircraft from any others you may have, either stock, user-made, imported from China, or whathaveyou. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please -READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explainations, clarifactions, illuminations and so forth. A full listing of credits, as always, is below the Install Instructions. Good Hunting! wrench Kevin Stein -for The Mod Mafia- For Oli =Changes: updated FM (3W based) revised hitboxes changed pilot for J-7I gunsight tgas 'brightened' minor 'hardening' of components -for The Mod Mafia-

F-89 Scorpion Pak for SF2 6/4/2010 -- Version 2, 3/3/2016 -- This package includes the full set of F-89 Scorpions, from MontyCZ's original C & D version, PLUS the variant mods I'd created, giving the H, J (Early) and J (Late). The various readmes for the sub-variants are included in their specific aircraft folder, just for historical purposes. This package has been peaked and tweeked for use in SF2 =ONLY=, and is NOT designed for use on SF/Wo* series 1st Gen sims. It makes use of certain elements found ONLY, and usable ONLY, in SF2. Everything is included -aircraft, inis, skins, decals, weapons, pilots. =EXCEPT= a cockpit. Due to changes in SF2's internal coding, these aircraft now make use of the stock in-game F-4B via ini edits that through sorcery now reach back into the cat files, and create usable cockpits without the need of a cockpit folder. How this works, I don't know or care; but that it =does= is a wonderful thing!! On such aircraft that have operating canopies (those that use the F-89D lod), the canopy works via the Standard Manual Animation Keystroke ™, shift/0. This package is designed to REPLACE the original set, and will drop right over it, providing you have it already. If you don't, no worries! Just install as normal. As always the standard, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! Good Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein Version 2: See "Change Log" in the readme

Hi guys! I've been tampering with something, and although I haven't been around here as much as I used to, I'm pretty sure this wasn't covered before. To finally get to the point and spare you the drama about me having less free time and yadda,yadda,yadda...you know how you have loadouts sorted into: RECON, AirToAir, Strike,SEAD etc? Of course you do, well now thx to the mission editor you can add more like this: 1. First of course you edit your "beloved" loadout.ini for example just adding this: [Custom01] Loadout[01].WeaponType= Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[16].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[16].Quantity=1 Loadout[17].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[17].Quantity=1 Loadout[18].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[18].Quantity=1 Loadout[19].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[19].Quantity=1 Loadout[24].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[24].Quantity=1 Loadout[25].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[25].Quantity=1 Save it and go off into the game, now don't just set a quick mission and fly messing again with your loadouts but enter mission editor and check this out dudes: It's there And it sure works I quad-checked it and as you can see you can add many of them, so if you have more than one favorite loadout it's now very easy to use it in-game. So there you go, if you already knew this then...why didn't anybody told me?!!!
