This is a pack of C-130 Hercules used by Royal Air Force. Generally, it is new skin / decal set. Plus fake pilot mod of C.1K tanker. Pack contains all required models and it is based on Dels great new C-130 Pack + update available here on Combat Ace. http://combatace.com/files/file/16427-c-130-hercules-superpack/ update here: http://combatace.com/files/file/16480-c-130-hercules-superpack-add-on-1/ Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) also pledged allegiance to the Queen and Country - required. Install: Copy paste specific folders into a correct destination. Fake pilot is required to run this mod. All skins are new in 3072x3072 format. Also, new bump maps and specular maps are included. Credits: Original model + pit model: Dels C-130 fake pilot mods, Cargo 1800gal fuel tank and refuel drogue, new skins, BM and SM: yakarov All new decals covering tail numbers. Tail numbers are correct but not necessarily covering specific units. Tail numbers are just correct for specific year and model. C.1K start date is set to 1982 - date of first C.1 conversion - generally the whole conversion of 6 airframes took like 5-6 years. C.3 start date is set to 1978 - first completed conversion. Also, it took a few years to convert all 31 airframes. C.1K 82 and 88 only difference is in fake pilot color skin - to represent late wraparound camo scheme. Have fun Report bugs. Expect the unexpected Jarek Hereda -
6 pointsFor now, those who wish to tinker with F.8 you can download version with early (hooded) canopy here: meteorF8early.rar

4 pointsToday I uploaded the SAML S.2 - my first Italian plane, appropriate for Gterl's new Caporetto terrain. The SAML S.2 was an Italian two-seat reconnaissance plane It was an improved version of the S.1, which was a license built copy of the Aviatik B.I. My SAML S.2 includes two skins, decals, a small bomb loadout, along with my skinning templates. My thanks to Ojcar for making the FM and for advising me on details of the plane.

4 pointshere are the clean versions of F.8, T.7 and NF.11/13. - this one is bubble canopy. So lod from a post above will simply convert into hooded one. Soon...(in 2019 if time allows) I should upload FR.9 clean template and some other meteorites.

3 pointsthat will be excellent for an OEF and OIF update. some pics for further reference transient tents these were more common on the smaller bases (at least in my experience) nicer version of what i stayed in in Iraq. due to Hurricane Katrina, some references to FEMA reject trailers were made food joints at Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait never managed to get a McRib until stateside though barbershop, PX and MWR not shown Kandahar Airfield, 2009 bunker (where a great many cigarettes were smoked waiting for the all clear from a rocket attack) my home for about six months or so (the others looked very similar view walking towards the DFAC or Boardwalk, depending on if you veered left or right at the road something one of my joes tried getting to run again. not sucessful, but he tried me, hard at work not the greatest sample of pics (especially the home copies) but a small sampling of life inside the wire

The SAML S.2 was an improved version of the Aviatik B.I which was built under license by the Societá Anonima Meccanica Lombarda (known as the SAML S.1.) The S.2 was specifically designed to fly in the mountainous terrain of the Italian Front. Improvements mostly involved the wings, which had a slight sweep and were closer together than the Aviatik design. The biggest improvement was the more powerful Fiat A.12 engine capable of delivering 300hp. The SAML S.2 was used primarily for reconnaissance and was armed with a fixed Fiat-Revelli machine gun over the wing with a ring mounted machine gun operated by the observer. My SAML S.2 includes 2 skins with appropriate decals and a small bomb loadout. I have included my skinning templates with the download. Version 2 - More accurate fuselage and gunner station, corrected wing placement and dihedral, corrected gauges in cockpit - all new LODs, revised skins, revised FM, new cockpit LOD and revised cockpit.ini Credits: My thanks to Ojcar for making the data.ini file for this plane and for providing valuable resources and advice on the details of the SAML S.2. Installation instructions: For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "SAMLS2" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "SAMLS2" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "SAMLS2". Move the folder named "D" from the Aircraft/SAMLS2 folder into the Decals/SAMLS2 folder you just made. -

1 pointI decided to try again my luck and currently I search for skilled people who could design, let's say...a Tu-160 ? There might be a small team, if I am lucky enough which will take the job and let's hope I won't fail you again , like in the last summer. More about the subject after the new year main holiday. Let me know what you think folks.

1 pointI first posted this two years ago and I'm re-gifting this to all of you this year. A completely flyable Santa Claus for FE (both FE1 and FE2,) including a cockpit view. He's probably the most well known pilot of all time, but never shot down another plane. He may wear different uniforms and be known by many names but he is always remembered for his message of peace and goodwill. Installation Instructions Download and open the attached Zip file (below). Put the folder named "Santa" into your First Eagles "Aircraft" folder. Notes: Start in the air - Santa does not take off and land very well, (too many hooves) so it is best to begin your mission in the air. Easy mode only - I didn't spend a lot of time on the FM. The center of gravity is too close to the back, so he doesn't fly well in "Normal" or "Hard" modes. Extra aircraft - By default, First Eagles assigns two planes to a recon flight. You can remove one of them in the Loadout screen. Avoid AA - He's neutral and unarmed, but ground-based AA will still open fire when he gets close. Remember to set the mission date to a Winter month. Now, go spread some Holiday Cheer. SantaForFE.zip

1 pointYou are absolutely correct a lot of work needs to be done. It was just intended to show that I am interested in these two photos and I will take them into consideration as a skin for this project.
-
1 pointits a start. you will need some improvising on the corrugated building though. if i was doing it off the provided pics, i would do alot of cut and paste from the displayed end of the corrugated to make the longer segment, then cut and paste doors from the the little gray unit. also just blue out the placard for the building number, will look better and not with a blurry white zone. i am not certain if you are intending the above as one skin, or peices of two as they are irl. finally, much can be done with manipulating exising images. but sometimes you gotta improvise and rework things to fit better. thats what really builds ones Photoshop/GIMP skills!

1 pointMost addons for FE1/FEgold work fine in FE2, with minor tweaks to decals files, etc. Getting FE2 addons to work in FE1/FEgold may require a bit more work. Crawford has found a way to run several FE2 aircraft in FE1...I believe the relevant post is located under the "new aircraft" thread but I'm sure someone will pitch in with more detailed info. if necessary. Happy holidays, Von S

1 pointAttrition rates are wonderfully modeled in FE2 - noticed this when flying in 1918 for the Germans in the Ottoman theater...it became more and more difficult to survive, let alone to get hits. FE2 is full of surprises that I still discover on occasion. Obligatory screenie below from an early-war scenario. Happy holidays all, Von S

1 pointScreenshots taken while testing out my little idea. Missiles are the 65Ds from Ravenclaw's great AGM-65 pack, the test plane A-7K by Mirage Factory. For the smoke effect, I borrowed from tiopiloto's Strela-2 MANPAD.. Several lines in the AGM-65D_data.ini had been changed: BoosterStart=0.000000 BoosterDuration=3.200000 BoosterAccel=10.017000 BoosterEffectName=S5 BoosterSoundName=Strela-2 BoosterNodeName= BoosterPosition=0.000000,-1.280000,0.000000 SustainerDuration=3.490000 SustainerAccel=2.170000 SustainerEffectName=S5 SustainerSoundName= SustainerPosition=0.000000,-1.280000,0.000000 This results in a nice smoke trail which disappear once the sustainer is burnout. Without the MissileInFlightEffect the Maverick flies clean towards target. You may or may not like it depends on personal thoughts. I find it a better gaming experience.

1 pointBeen busy "downgrading" the data ini for Geezer's Halb. D.V into a D.III variant (since the model is newer than the D.III available from A-Team). Also further tweaking of the FM for the Caproni, and more work on the Longhorns and Shorthorns - will roll these eventually into a ver. 9.7 of the FM updates. Also incorporated three more winds into the environsys files for the Flight folder - should work well for sudden wind change/gusts and to compensate for lack of true turbulence in the FE2 engine. Happy flying and happy holidays fellow FE/FE2 flyers! Von S
