I thought I'd share some information on my favourite Su-17 version , feel free to discuss, post questions etc in the comments!! In 1972 the Sukhoi design bureau began work on another variant of the Su-17) it was known only by its in-house designation S-32MK "гибридный" or hybrid, this mated the wings of the Su-7BMK to the fuselage of the Su-17M. The aircraft first flew in February 1973 piloted by Vladimir Krechetov. The only known photo of the S-32MK to exist in the west, note the large bomb load able to be carried. Also note how the gun blast plates are still installed but the twin NR-30 cannons are not. The S-32MK's fuselage was taken from the new into production Su-17M line, for the S-32MK the uprated AL-21F-3 engine which provided more thrust compared to the standard Fitters then in production. During tests the performance of the Hybrid was better than the Su-17 then in service, the S-32 reached a height of 1800M compared to the 1500M compared to the production Su-17M. The fitting of the Su-7BMK wing had positives and negatives, the removal of the complicated and heavy Su-17 swing wing system allowed for not only a lighter airframe but a Increase in the fuel capacity (400kg extra fuel) the removal of the swing wing also allowed for maintenance to be much easier. However a drawback of the wing was a return to the Su-7s high landing and takeoff speeds, poor agility at low speeds and a high stall speed. The test machine also had a 100mph higher top speed compared to the Su-17M due to all the weight saving. A side view of the aircraft, again showing the large number of pylons, and highly swept wing. The aircraft was planned to be armed with the standard twin NR-30, 30mm cannons in the wing roots with 80 rounds per gun, the standard six Su-7 pylons (two under each wing and two under the fuselage) were joined by two inner pylons from the standard Su-17 creating a total of eight pylons, two more compared to standard Su-17s, the weight saving allowed for the increase in weapons. The soviet Airforce although interested in the design favoured the Mig-27 and Su-17M, therefore Sukhoi offered the jet on export. It was given the export name Su-20, Egypt was the first country to show interest in the new Sukhoi. However Egypt opted for the Su-17M as it had bad past experiences with the Su-7 and saw the swept wing Su-20 as a throwback to bad experiences, Syria also showed interest however they soon withdrew interest. With the lack of interest by both Soviet and overseas airforces finally meant to a scrapping of the project and in mid 1975 the aircraft was withdrawn from tests and sent to Tula and used as a mechanic practise aircraft until the 1990s, the airframes existence after 1990 is unknown however it is rumoured that it was more than likely scrapped. Artwork of the S-32MK during tests. The 17 red was only applied for later flights.

I was absent for a while, I had some familiy matters to attend to, I apologize. I have very good news for you. The project is finished, both for SF1 and SF2 as well (I spoke today with the team). Unfortunately I am not home now and I will need a month more (holiday). Then I will test the models and and if there are no major issues, I will upload them for you to have them. View File TW_C-130A_2048pixel_Photoshop_Template Skin Template for the ThirdWire C-130A Hercules. It can be used for SF1 or SF2. This template is a .psd file at 2048 pixels. It can be reduced for those with low spec computers. It was made using Photoshop. Before anyone asks if I can make the lines and rivets darker or lighter, this template allows you to do that yourself by adjusting the opacity of the lines, rivets or any layer of this file. To use it you must have a paint program that reads/modifies .psd files. Then you can adjust the specular, glossiness and/or reflection entries in the skin's texture.ini file to get the skin to your liking. Add your own dirt and weathering. If you just want the Natural Metal / Silver skin depicted in the attached picture, PM me. If you need help, PM me. INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the skin folder into your XXX folders. Choose the desired skin in the loadout section. Fly. I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use. For any other use, please contact me first. If you find any problems with it, please PM me. If you improve it, please PM me a copy. Thanks to all who are helping me learn to skin by direct involvement and/or by inspiration. If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error. Geary TW_C-130A_Template.7z Submitter Geary Submitted 06/22/2019 Category Skin Templates

Gripen NG for the United States – F-39A/B Griffin Blk 1/5 1.0 Due to a change in US government policy driven by cost overruns, project delays and negative public (aka voter) opinion the USAF F-35A order is halved. To make up the shortfall a cheaper 4.5 generation aircraft is sought to replace the rest of the F-16 fleet. New built F-16s are considered but ultimately a license built US specific version of the Gripen NG is chosen. To help offset the loss of the cancelled F-35 order Lockheed Martin is awarded the contract to build the F-39 along with the US specific modifications. The most important of which is full data/ sensor integration and cooperative war fighting with the F-35A fleet. The USAF designate the US built Gripen the F-39A/B Griffin. The first Block 1 Griffins off the Lockheed Martin production line are identical to the JAS-39E/F and equip CONUS Air National Guard units to replace the F-16 in the air sovereignty role. At the same time Lockheed Martin produce a handful of developmental airframes to integrate the full USAF arsenal of weapons and apply some of the technology from the F-35 program. The probe air-to-air refuelling system is also replaced with a flying boom receptacle. The end result is the F-39A/B Block 5 which is used to replace the F-16 in those USAF units that are not going to be equipped with the F-35A. The Block 5 Griffin is fully compatible with the F-35 and shares the same data link technology. This means Griffin equipped units can be used cost effectively in the low intensity warfare role but when required can be ‘force multiplied’ by the F-35A in a modern battlefield. All Block 1 aircraft will be upgraded to Block 5 standard. Included in this mod are: - F-39A Block 1 Griffin - F-39B Block 1 Griffin - F-39A Block 5 Griffin - F-39B Block 5 Griffin - F-39A Block 5 Griffin Aggressor - F-39B Block 5 Griffin Aggressor - 14 different USAF/ANG squadrons - 22 different skins To Install simply un pack and drop into your mods folder. Notes: - The Block 1 aircraft have a reduced weapons capability compared the Block 5 as they can only carry the weapons currently cleared on the Jas-39 Gripin (Aim-9M, Aim-120C etc) this is reflected in the loadout.ini. - The pilot is a re-skinned JHMCS model to look like the Cobra HMD that is integrated with the Gripin (see last screenshot below). - F-39B Block 5 Aggressor has a cannon even though the two seater doesn’t have one. This is for game play so it will engage you as an aggressor aircraft. Credits: -Gux Column5 Moonjumper Jat CadeteBRA Ianh755 Stipe The Viper Team ravenclaw_007 Enjoy, Dan. P.S. Turkish Air Force was one of the prominent F-4 users with approximately 233 aircraft. The original order for F-4’s was 40 aircraft with the first being delivered in August 1974. In 1981 F-4E 66-0312 was delivered to the THK and with reorganization of Filo’s (squadrons) and its aircraft this F-4 became the property of 172nd Filo “Sahin”. In early 1990’s 172nd Filo was one of 3 squadrons assigned to the 2nd Tactical Air Force, 7 Ana Jet Us (Jet Air Base), Erhac-Malataya. With this reorganization the 172nd Filo became an interception squadron. In April 2009 172nd Filo was disbanded in anticipation of the arrival of the new F-35 Lightning II. To mark the occasion F-4E 66-0312 was given this special paint scheme “Kara Sahin” (Black Falcon - Black Hawk). Model link http://combatace.com/files/file/14301-f-4e-tuaf-pack/ Fixed and detailed...

My intrest in skinning for the Strike Fighters series is getting less nowadays so I've decided to release some "trimmed down" templates for a couple of the F-4's. You can tweak/modify them as you all see fit, but just remember where you got them in the first place when you release summat. Also, they are just basic as in one model, it might be worth copying them and renaming them with the correct model naming...ie F-4B_67_1 etc, etc. Just remember skinning is supposed to be fun, dont get stressed about it, experiment & dont be afraid to ask questions. Enjoy Ant. [sundowner]
