1 pointView File EAW Code-Group Standalone Each one of these files can be downloaded separately. You do not need to download the entire large archive. (These packs where originally uploaded and posted by Jel back in 2019 I think.) #1. EAW126.exe: Gives you a 1.26E folder with no addons. The 1.2-E exe is effectively a 1.2 exe with a no CD crack and some other modifications which I can no longer remember. #2. EAW12X-126E.exe: Gives you what is effectively a 1.26E folder with OAW. OAW only has the two "E-" folders available so the user can pick either the 1.26E exe or the 1.2X exe from the code group with the 7217 fix The default ETO theatre is used. #3. 128eFAW2016.exe: Gives you a stand-alone folder with the 2016 version of Finnish Air War. It includes the FAW manager. The EAW exe used is a 1.28e version, dated the 27th November 2016, which was compiled by the code group. #4. EAW129 July2016: Gives you a stand-alone UAW1.29 installation It has the old and new map versions of the 1.29 exe, and 9 different theatres. BoB, DAW, ETO with planesets, Malta, Ray's 2015 ETO, SWOTL, SPAW, SAW, ETO Trains and barges. The "DSP128-9.exe" is provided as the file-manager. There is a file in the LongDirSets folder named "Mediterranean Air War (Malta and North Africa)" which should have been removed as it causes a CTD when selected. DAW and Malta are there in any case. However,DAW has the original dodgy planeset with some aircraft having the wrong nationality. The Malta theatre is just about the same, but has a more realistic planeset. #5. 1.28c_JellyPack.exe: Installs 1.28c with the DirSetExeManagerV5. filemanager. This enables you to select one of three versions of the eaw.exe, and eight theatres in addition to the default 1.28C ETO theatre which had the Allied Carrier. The theatres are DAW, KAW, Malta, Russia-Germany (winter), SWOTL, SPAW, SPAW45 and SAW. #6. 129EAW640x480.exe: This installs the special version of the 1.29 old map exe which uses 640x480 screens. It has a filemanager and a number of experimental WIP theatres that Moggy was working on. These were added to test the exe, but some are of little use as they are incomplete There is also the 1.28c version of VBH's Pacific Tide III. This version of the 1.29 exe was made for modders who want to re-vamp old theatres and use the 640x480 screens, but allowing the additional features of UAW1.29 to be used if required. #7. AcesOverEurope129.exe: This is Emil's old add-on that Modred updated and Jel repacked it into this form. Possible issues: You may need the VB runtime files for the filemanagers and OAW. Let me know if there are any problems Jel Submitter MarkEAW Submitted 06/20/2019 Category EAW - European Air War

1 pointHere's some additional information for any "home chefs" that might want to try the CD0 adjustment for the MiG-19S. I get the total CD0 values by adding up the headline CD0 values for the fuselage, inner and outer wing panels, V-stab and H-stab. The results for the stock Mig-19S and MiG-21MF are: MiG-19S = 0.0126 MiG-21MF = 0.0173 The MiG-21MF totals are actually quite close to what I've seen from some online sources and look reasonable compared to some reference info I have for similar types. Typically, the TW CD0 totals are considerably less than the reference values I have. I don't think it's possible for the MiG-19s to have a lower CD0 drag total than the MiG-21 so a conservative guess would put the MiG-19 at around 0.018 total. I actually think it would be quite a bit higher than that but I've had some performance issues when trying to use realistic CD0 values so will keep the MiG-19 at the low end. To get to the 0.018 total it seems reasonable to just add the extra drag to the fuselage so here's the edit to try out: [Fuselage] ModelNodeName=Fuselage HasAeroCoefficients=TRUE CLa=0.0966 CD0=0.0125//0.0071..........................................do this CDL=0.0001 Cm0=0.0002 Cmq=-0.4493 Cmad=0.0042 Cyb=-0.0966 Cnb=-0.0868 CD0MachTableNumData=16 I haven't done any formal testing with this edit due to lack of MiG-19 data but it I thinks it's "maybe" a legitimate way to address some of the "probable" over performance of the TW MiG-19s.

1 pointMany of the ThirdWire flight models seem quite theoretical and don't necessarily reflect some of the bad habits of the real aircraft. I've checked a few and the sustained and instantaneous "G" was good up to a point but the transonic performance seems exaggerated and they seem to be soft around the edges regarding departure behavior. It's possible to make adjustments if you have good data from performance charts but that's not always easy to get, especially for the Soviet types. One thing I noticed about the MiG-19 FM specifically, the total CD0 values are very low, less than the MiG-21 in fact. That seems unlikely to me so adding some CD0 drag to the fuselage will reduce the acceleration a bit. The type had a good thrust/weight ratio for the time so even after the adjustment it remains quite potent. If anyone has some performance charts and/or flight notes for the type I'd be interested in taking a closer look.

Skin Template for the ThirdWire C-130A Hercules. It can be used for SF1 or SF2. This template is a .psd file at 2048 pixels. It can be reduced for those with low spec computers. It was made using Photoshop. Before anyone asks if I can make the lines and rivets darker or lighter, this template allows you to do that yourself by adjusting the opacity of the lines, rivets or any layer of this file. To use it you must have a paint program that reads/modifies .psd files. Then you can adjust the specular, glossiness and/or reflection entries in the skin's texture.ini file to get the skin to your liking. Add your own dirt and weathering. If you just want the Natural Metal / Silver skin depicted in the attached picture, PM me. If you need help, PM me. INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the skin folder into your XXX folders. Choose the desired skin in the loadout section. Fly. I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use. For any other use, please contact me first. If you find any problems with it, please PM me. If you improve it, please PM me a copy. Thanks to all who are helping me learn to skin by direct involvement and/or by inspiration. If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error. Geary TW_C-130A_Template.7z -

In 2014, the Polish MoD decided to replace the fleet of Polish Air Force's ageing MiG-29s, which were becoming more and more obsolete and not suitable with the requirements of modern combat. The new promising Swedish design of an upgraded JAS-39 was chosen and the deliveries began in 2018 with 64 aircraft purcahsed in total, both one- and two-seaters. That's the little background story. The mod itself includes the E and F versions of the aircraft. It is generally based on USAF Gripen NG mod by @dtmdragon which you can find here https://combatace.com/files/file/16048-f-39ab-griffin-blk-15-gripen-ng-for-the-us/?tab=comments The pack includes: JAS-39E 22 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego (Tactical Air Base) skin with the "Knight flagship" paintscheme (aircraft no. 6036) 23 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego skin with the "Kosciuszko flagship" paintscheme (aircraft no. 6020) 23 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego special NATO Tiger Meet paintscheme JAS-39F 22 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego paintscheme 23 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego paintscheme All respective credits go to the creators of the original Gripen model, you will find the list here, many thanks to them: https://combatace.com/files/file/14351-tsf-saab-jas-39-gripen-flygvapnet-package/ Important note: the aircraft in this pack DO NOT use 100% accurate Gripen NG models but rather modified JAS-39C/D. I am not a 3D modder and I couldn't make one myself. To install, unpack the zip archive and paste the contents of "to mod folder" folder into your game's mod folder. Read the Knowledge Base for more instructions. The mod was created and tested with the full 5 install of SF2 with the latest patch. You can use and distribute the contents of this mod ONLY as freeware. Remember to give credits to the authors. Chris -

1 pointTechnology Gap Work in progress, skins could be subject to changes. I didn't have time nor will to replicate the same black camo of the last F-22, but I will. My thanks to Krycztij for his 3View tool (https://community.combatsim.com/topic/26077-taw-3view-—-a-renderer-for-taws-3-files/) and to mue for his LODViewer.

1 pointHello. I'm just coming back from a nice trip in the incredibly beautiful Sultanate of Oman. As my hotel in the capital city of Muscat was located in the district of Ruwi, I spent a morning at visiting the nearby Sultan's Armed Forces Museum - and sure, I did not regret it! Below are some shots mostly related to the outdoor displays dedicated to RAFO : Two-seater Jaguar OB (commissioned 1977-2014), displayed at the place of honor in front of Bait Al Falaj Fort. BAC 167 Strikemaster and Hawker Hunter - Unfortunately, I did not collect full information about these models. Short & Harland Skyvan 3-SH1877 (passenger transport aircraft, commissioned 1970-2006). I can't resist adding these few shots from a missile boat quite unusually displayed in the open ground : RNOV Al-Mansoor, fast attack craft (commissioned 1973-1985).

-1 pointsWow, sure are a lot of nasty comments in here. Yet Eric has a little in contributions from you all. A gringo only update? Wrong site for that kind of bashing. How would you like being called wet backs? You might want to give Eric an apology for that kind of stuff and actually help him if you are so passionate about your version of the mod.

-1 pointsSorry to be impolite at this point, I find the lack of originality and quality of this mod disturbing.... It looks like it has directly been ported from SF1, and it is already present in much better quality. The lack of a (default and logical) English description adds to the belief that this mod should not have been approved in the first place. There are certain standard forum rules that apply... Although there are fabulous mods which are constantly released, I hate the growing amount of crappy "cheap" knock-off mods which are posted recently... Just my two critical cents.
