This segment is all about the AH-1w Super Cobra. The AH-1w Super Cobra was introduced to service in 1986 and is being replaced by the AH-1z Viper or "Zulu Cobra" the difference with the Zulu Cobra is that it features 4 rotor blades and the Target Sighting System or TSS. In this video you'll learn about this aircraft's routes in Vietnam as well as a brief history about the Cobra.

SF2 RB-57E Canberra "Patricia Lynn" (Remod) 7/25/2019 = For SF2:V ( or Any & All SF2s, Full-5 Merged Prefered) = *note: this mod was started for a CA member in July, 2018. I just recently found it in my archives. Figured I might as well release it!* This is a complete rebuild of Anjundair's B-57E, and an update to Migbuster's RB-57E "Patricia Lynn" package for SF2:V. The aircraft has 3 full skin and decal sets; all serial number decals are 100% historically correct. These skins depict the 460th TRW, Det 1 at various times in their deployments to Southeast Asia: Natual Metal (1963) Night 1 (1966) Night 2 (1970) The skins use the SF2 'date switch', and marking change as needed as per the year in use. Skins remain in their bitmap format. The FM has been rebuild using the stock 3W B-57 as a base. The avionics have been upgraded, and you'll now have a full time LLTV set up. As there is no accurate B-57 cockpit, the F-4B is used as a stand in, due to it having scope to display the radar, TFR and LLTV (yes, we know there actually wasn't one in the front cockpit). This (gaming) aircraft remains fully combat capable, unlike the Real Life (tm) versions. See Notes for more information. When in game, you'll see RB-57E Canberra (AJ) on the aircraft selection dropdown window. The "AJ" credits Ajundair, even though there are no other RB-57s available. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! If you have any earlier versions of this aircraft mod, it is =HIGHLY= suggested you delete the aircraft and decals folders, as THIS mod replaces everything. End users (tm) might also find the Notes section enlightning and informative. Good Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein ***Note: Found in the Archives!!! This was done and should have been uploaded in early 2018!! But I guess never got around to doing so for whatever reasons. As I don't use my SF2:V mods folder much, there may be other birds that have been hiding in the hangars. I'll be more careful in checking from now on!! ***

I need to test the zip file I have made on another PC that has never had Shoot installed to make sure it works right. It is a dot net program, so it is possible an older version(s) of dot net may be required to be installed. Once I know it works on a clean Win10 PC with no issues, I will upload what I have, which has been running on Win7 64 and now Win10 64. I also have a profile editor tool that was released before the website disappeared. I never used it because I know how to edit the profiles using text editors, but if it works correctly, it may be very useful for those less inclined to cut and paste xml files. If my zip file works, all you will have to do is extract the file "here", which includes a Shoot 1.6.4 folder. Double click on the exe file in the folder and open a profile from the profiles folder, then you are up and running. You have a profile open in a text editor while running the program, but you have to make sure you save any changes as you go along and reopen the profile for the changes to take effect. You can program various inputs to act as a mic button and can configure the buttons to be momentary or toggle.

@warthog64 Thank you for the kind words. That terrain had been in development for years, after periods of hiatus due to RL issues and so on. It was built to be used in a future ODS update, with numerous features, realistic river, farm and city placement that were missing in the original terrain. As for the help, I am actually waiting for additional aircraft updates (some amazing Mirages are still in the works!) and eventually some new ground objects as well. Nothing prevents me to actually update the old ODS campaign to be used with my terrain, but we want to upgrade it with better aircraft and objects as well. Check your PM.

Just thought I'd update this thread. The ODS mod would be perfect if it included Menrva's terrain. Everything is great about the latest mod, especially since the latest aircraft and ship updates over the last few years. The newest terrain by Menrva is really all that is still needed. (more Iraqi naval action would be perfect too of course, but that's not too difficult to add by the novice player). I am no expert but if there's anything I can help with Menrva in order to get your terrain applicable with the latest mod please PM me. I still love SF2 over all the other sims (DCS has better graphics but that's about the only advantage) and have been playing it since I was 13. An updated ODS campaign would really make this game one of the best, even in 2019! Thanks everyone!

Looking to fill the aggressor requirement for USAF ,USN and possibly NATO customers , private companies investigated the purchase of modified JF-17 Thunder fighters . The US government agreed to the private purchase on condition that a US engine and avionics were fitted, and that no "live" weapons could be carried . The modified jet was known as the A-17 .

Come on guys calm down, this is an ongoing problem we are all running into nowadays, there's nothing new to do anymore, everything we do is basically an improvement (hopefully) of something that's already been done. I can see how sometimes a guy can get a little pissed when one of these mods comes about, hell it's happened to me more than a few times and I guess it will again, it can be frustrating when we've spent months & months sorting out something full of bugs and glitches and then someone decides to do things a little differently. This need not be a replacement for an existing terrain more of an optional version. I personally am not worried about 100% accuracy just playability and having fun.

Of all bases that you cited, only Prince Sultan is really needed. The others have been used mostly by transport aircraft and heavy bombers. And I added such bases as OffMap ones anyway, to be used for the AI aircraft. I really “appreciate” that people are trying to diminish my efforts at terrain making. I was expecting a remake of Operation Darius on the 2003+ version of the terrain, but that one is now being made with another terrain. If you people want to work on another terrain for ODS, feel free to do so. What strikes me is that the original ODS terrain was much wrong and inaccurate, and people never cared. I could have placed Prince Sultan AB on a wrong location as in the original, and people would have never noticed. I spent three years, between RL commitments, into making a “small” terrain full of airbases, lakes, rivers, everything being carefully placed and tiled according to satellite imagery. I even added historical FOBs and Iraqi Strongpoints, thanks to the military documents I gathered. But I guess only a few notice such details. It's a pity. Alright, rant is over. Over and out.
