MiG-21F-13 LSK used as recon bird in the early 80th. Later replaced by MiG-21M, which should be replaced by Su-22M4.

Now what? Are you making one? Are you requesting one? Are you just posting a general overviewmap of the region? Feel free to write a few more words...it just makes it much easier for all of us.

Since the topic starter comes from Turkey, i guess he wants to fly turkish jets to protect islamistic rebels, Al-Kaida and IS forces against the bad, godless russians and shia troops from Iran, Lebanon and Assads alewitish squadrons. As far as i know there is no map, which covers the area of the turkish syrian border. But this would be no big problem to build such a terrain. The question is, who should do that. AFAIK all terrain builders are working on their own projects. For me it is rebuilding Battle of Britain terrain and a new version of Kuril Islands, so i have no time to start an other project. The solution would be: help yourself, so help you god. ( no matter what god you believe in) A tutorial, how to make a terrain, is available at Knowledgebase of Strike Fighters 1, here in this forum.

Aegean blue ... You know, the Aegean sea looks the same color as the deep blue in the pic above. It'd be nice If we could have something similar..

yawn my rebuild of Gepard's Isreal2, while not actually having Turkey, they could concievably fly from Cyprus Let us not forget PureBlue's Anatolia map. Would need a lot of reworking (retiling, retargeting) of course. Looks like that's what Stratos is showing. Sounds like a good learning project for a budding terraformer

What offers: Syria, Israel and Turkey for Syrian Civil War, with more proper tileset, desert when desert and med coast tileset, bases where are due, road network and targets on mentioned areas. What it needs: Erase targets in Turkey west and in Greece, and maybe add more targets in Syria proper. Would love to have a transition tile for the DARK SEA/MED SEA ocean tiles. Sorry but got distracted by Soviet/Polish border for FE.

The "xx chaff left" and "xx flares left" messages in AIRCRAFTTEXT.STR can be overwritten with 'space' characters. Then an empty line is displayed on the screen instead. You can use this already modified AIRCRAFTTEXT.STR file. Just copy that file into your <mod-folder>/Objects/ folder.

In german language we called it "Schreiberrakete". It had seeker heads and a memory device, which "wrote" all data, so that after landing could be evaluated, wheter the missile would have hit the target or not. Those "missiles" were always white and had black stripes around the body. They had never rocket engines or maneuvering fins. This picture show a MiG-23ML with training missiles for R-23 and R-60. BTW: Nice to see the different camo schemes of the planes. Every single fighter plane of the LSK had a unique camo.

The Halberstadt CL.II was a German, 2 seat fighter/escort plane. The CL.II was designed to be an escort for reconnaissance flights. Its excellent maneuverability made it a match for single seat fighters and its field of fire made it an excellent ground attack plane. It entered service in August 1917 and was used in large numbers until the end of the war. The Halberstadt CL.II had a plywood fuselage and was powered by a six-cylinder Mercedes D.III engine. It had a 7.92mm Spandau machine gun in the front fuselage for the pilot and a 7.92mm Parabellum gun on a ring mount for the observer. It could also carry a light bomb load. My version has a rack for 10 stick grenades mounted on the fuselage. My download includes a hex camo skin, appropriate decals, and a fully functional cockpit. My skinning templates are included with the download. I have included a sound file for the Mercedes D.III engine. The same sound has been used with other planes and you may already have it installed. I have included the sound file with the download in case you don't have it. Credits My thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the Halberstadt CL.II and for making improvements to the guns. My thanks to Nixou for making the sound file for the Mercedes engine many years ago. Installation Instructions For FE1 - Unzip the file and move the folder named "HalberstadtCL2" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. If you don't already have it, move the sound file "mercedes160m2.wav" from my "Sounds" into your "Sounds" folder. For FE2 - Unzip the file and move the folder named "HalberstadtCL2" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "HalberstadtCL2." Move the folder named "D" from the Aircraft/HalberstadtCL2 folder into the Decals/HalberstadtCL2 folder you just made. If you don't already have it, move the sound file "mercedes160m2.wav" from my "Sounds" into your "Sounds" folder. If you don't have a Sounds folder, you can make one.
