3 pointssomewhere around here i have an American North East map. had is since the early 2000s , but can't remember where it is. If you think about it, such maps (included the Texas/Mexico American South west, CenUS, ANW) really aren't worth a damn outside of "The Wingman" or "Red Dawn" type scenarios * . AKA: Occupied America. Unfortunately, we don't have H-Bomb crater tiles (although they might be easily made) (* guess we can add "Man in the High Castle" to that as well)

3 pointssorting through old folders, found this bird. whoever has it (and you know who you are), it'd be a lot cooler if you released it

2 pointsHi everyone, a new update for WOFF to V1.13 is now available. Version 1.13 3 June 2021 1) Fixed a possible error at mission runtime that would sometimes occur for Aces with File Specified AC and Skin. Ensured that the associated Ace skin would be allocated if possible, or if no more aircraft instances available then the generic AC and skin is allocated. 2) Improved Aircraft instance selections for skin allocations to maximise the number of skins per craft type flying in game. 3) BE2c early version - Removed Lewis drums from Observer’s cockpit. Fixed some other small issues. Please see our Website for details.

2 pointsNot entirely true ... Saved single missions are readily editable (sp???). The trick is you have to select you single mission, start it, end it, then SAVE it. You'll wind up with something like this (btw, this is a sample test mission, so don't try to play it) you can see the start date and time are listed, and easily changed with a text editor (Notepad, etc) But, it can only be done that way. The Game Engine (tm) only allows year choice.
-
2 pointsI don't think it's doable as the game works by years and not by a specific date range (what you're trying to do). So basically what you're trying to do can't happen. You could use the Editor that gives you the ability to change the date but it won't modify the whole mod. That's the only workaround to get what you need.

2 pointswhy make it that easy? go for it GKABS. but name it EVILGDAMMEDCOMTRACK and give it Armor=100000000000000

1 pointGKABS any chance of you reusing the Truck from the Pantsir? removing the weapons and adding a cargo bed would add another Russian truck the game.

1 pointwell, if ODS30AE the secondary test crew (also known as an end user) has found something the primary has not. whether its specific to them and their system or a general issue is another question to actually read the post its not clear which he is talking about, while he doesnt say the 30AE edition many people would just shorten to ODS. yes, its not correct but thats how most people in the world do. im inclined to believe he's talking the new version given all he praise he gives it and the flying over Iran in April mention. but it doesnt say for certain, even to say new or old and theres no need to be offended by questions like this. once its out, people are going to tinker with it to make it to their particular taste. everyone starts somewhere, whether its adding a decal to look more like real life or altering dates. those small steps (and the support or lack of the person gets) can be the difference between someone that becomes a new modder in our very small community or someone that talks about how SF2 is old and dated. the difference between tinkering and modding is the experience level nice bit incorporating First Eagles into SF2 though. i see quite a few things and thought it could be done, but couldnt remember where id seen it
-
1 pointWhat's the fuss all about? The ODS package I released allows to select months (from August 1990 to February 1991), not years. It's part of the included menu mod, it makes use of a function from TW's First Eagles. If he's talking about the older ODS packages, I won't provide support for those as they are not my work. Not true. PS: Please, refrain from writing topic titles all in caps, it's just impolite. We're not blind, we can read and we do read, and we reply where we have something significant to say. Thanks.

1 pointOh my... Thanks for the reminder about posting not just one pic, but more if I like in a single post. Cool will do in the future. Cheers

1 pointsorry to get your hopes up. i have seen aircraft data inis with specific dates in them before. i was thinking that maybe getting specific could force it, but looking closer im seeing that entry is ServiceStartYear too. so those specific dates probably dont do squat in either instance. again sorry bout bad info for the question above yes on choosing load mission for what you edit. i do it all the time when testing things other than skins and decals. things like B-52G_Strike_17011991, KC-135E_Recon_12121990 etc. you can be very specific on waypoints for everyone, loadouts, altitudes, force compostion etc. also yes on it locks in what you're up against. i do it to eliminate enemy opposition (no fun checking nav lights or a weps load out if you keep having "a bandit on your six o clock") but what ever you load is whats popping up every time you load. again, useful for me to a point. but it can get boring seeing teh same thing over and over.

1 pointsure they are. more realistic (and scaled down opfor) versions of the range terrains. but this time with NYC! theres training ranges and military operating areas all over the country. ok, not as much in the northeasten part, but in the midwestern part and Carolinas there sure are (eyeballing your map there) hell, i just watch 4 Strike Eagles from Seymour Johnson go over my house today. them and Ospreys out of New River are fairly regular visitors. it would be nice fly out of those bases (and more!) in game.

1 pointthe mod is designed ONLY be usable in those years. For obvious reasons

1 pointNaval campaigns were not exactly implemented as we want. AI mission types such as EARLY_WARNING and ESCORT_JAMMER only exist with naval campaigns, but naval campaigns disable night missions altogether. For the latest Desert Storm total conversion, I decided not to make it a naval campaign because night missions are a must to have. The other features I mentioned are missing, but it's a matter of balancing pros and cons really. Naval campaigns were designed to be about naval battles involving belligerent factions having a navy. Air units will always attempt to engage enemy fleets as soon as they get a higher intelligence value. You can set their intelligence to zero, but then AI will never do any offensive missions since it does not know the belligerent forces' locations. Simply put, you cannot really have exclusive features of a naval campaign without it being a true naval campaign. At worse, you can try to force all enemy AI air units to use only interceptor fighter jets; they wouldn't be able to launch any offensive strike mission then. With lots of trial and error, maybe a balance could be found (with due pros and cons), in order to do what Viggen suggests. Given that it disables night missions though, I wouldn't waste any more effort on the matter.

1 pointalso, did the Israelis put kill markings on during the wars? That's a good question (daddyairplanes) which i can't really answer 100% but i assume it must have been looking at the Photo which shows Brig - General Mordechai Hod foto taken on the June 10th 1967 whit an Air Kill. I guess during the 60ths and 70ths it was an act of being proud of showing the enemy kills in defending one's homeland which is understandable. Maybe it was also an act to scare off the enemy just assuming. Please correct me if i am wrong i read that the USAF marked their kills like Air Ace Col. Robin Olds flying the F-4C Phantom with a red star and this was during the Vietnam war and not during being off duty. Since i read that Baron Manfred von Richthofen WW1 Ace 82kills was asked by his supreme command to paint the planes of his fighter Squadron also kown as Flying Cirus useing camelfalouge. Richthofen replyed no the enemy should see when we attack we dont have to hide. Ok the cirumstances where different being WW1 but i think the basic idea behind is scare off your enemy and be pround of your kills. Fotos from L: to R: Brig - General Mordechai Hod, Brig - General Giora Even-Epstein "Hawkeye," with his Mirage IIIC and in his F-16 finally 17 Air Kills.During his eventful visit to the US in 1998, Brig - General Giora Even-Epstein "Hawkeye," meeting the Blue Angels beside one of the teams F/A -18 Hornets after watching their home-base air show demonstration. (IAF) Duke took me on a visit to TOPGUN and I got to meet with the pilots there. The meeting was planned to last just 30 minuntes, but I ended up sitting with them for three hours. They peppered me with questions about my dogfights....

I started this work some years ago. Armourdave made a great job. My upgrades are fixing some (old) bugs and adding new skins + decals, waiting for the promised extensive upgrades.
