4 pointsI have added medals from an old SF1 medals pack mod. Some tweaking needs to be done, but the new medals seem to work flawlessly... I have made more changes to the _nations.ini: the Burmese Air Force now is called Myanmar Air Force since 1989; Burkina Faso Air Force is named Upper Volta Air Force from 1964 to 1984; I have added the Montenegrin Air Force, the Republika Srpska Air Force, the Belarusian Air Force, the Tajik Air Force and the Kyrgyz Air Force. Tajikistan and Belarus re-use the Soviet Star, as historically correct. New decals for Montenegro, Republika Srpska, Kyrgyzstan and Upper Volta have been created.

3 pointsView File Meteors Over Korea. SF2. Meteors Over Korea Bunch of Meteors for the Royal Australian Air Force used during the Korean War. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) Install: Copy paste specific folders into a correct destination. Fake pilot is required to run this mod. Also, Thirdwire Meteor cockpit is required from the original game. Fuel tanks- not to be afraid. Overwrite or just leave it. 100 gal tank is original TW tank. You can overwrite or just simply do not copy. 175 gal tank also. Tanks are just ini files. Mod use tanks that are part of aircraft lod. Yes, again Meteors. This is pack contains only F.8 and T.7 models used by RAAF. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize to needed resolution. better to downsize than rescale to higher res. All decals are based on available materials and are historically correct. Few nose arts included. I've made skins sets per year regarding loses and reinforcements in 77Sq. between 1951-1953. I was trying to be accurate as possible even with all game limits. Loses / reinforcements are credited per year..so loses from 1951 are not seen in 52 - but new planes are available as reinforcements arrived. Credits. Veltro2k - the original model early model. Me - model rework into T.7 and F.8 and some other mambo jumbo like skins, decals, research... 76.IAP-Blackbird - also T model re-working. Charles - original FM from original T.7 upload. Nose art decals for Halestorm, Bow 'em Over, Cap'n Mac - from Kulbit's Gloster Meteor RAAF pack. Seat - all credits o creator - unfortunately I don't remember who made this seat. I guess skin is by Kulbit. Pilots - I have no idea / don't remember who did it. All credit to him/her. - one of my favorites figures in a game - I've added this to correspond with the data file. 2 pointsAnyone interested in seeing a definitive, reworked nations.ini with new decals for all the added services? Right now I have the Russian Air Force added as an extension of the Soviet Air Force, with the new Russian star decal starting from 2010 as historically correct. Basically, it's just the Soviet Air Force that changes name to the Russian Air Force as soon as you select 1992 as the mission date. I have also added the newly reformed Libyan Air Force, and I am planning to proceed this way by adding those countries who had and/or have an air force. So I will also add Biafra and Katanga, for instance. The Soviet Naval Aviation has been added as a separate service. It should have been like this since day one, but TK grouped everything into the Soviet Air Force. I am not sure about adding army aviation branches (like those included in some of yakarov's helo mods), but if I do they will be complete with decals. Here below a quick glimpse; The Russian star was made and included by eburger68 in one of his mods. I added/made the other decals. If I manage to obtain permission, I'd also like to include numerous medal packs for various nations, such as the ones created by Capitaine Vengeur.

Kinda like the idea of unleashing four of those, the four under-wing pods and the micro-cells in the nose all at once... loosing off that many there's really no need to aim, bound to hit something

But... as he has long left since the community, it is considered "abaondon ware" . Fix it up and release it. The Admins say it "ok"

1 pointA mission later, and the convoys are still all tankers. Only one of them, in this case, with five destroyers for escort. Which it will need badly if it holds its present course, which is straight for occupied France. 'Red' McColpin is now a section leader but still getting mostly improbable missions, this one being to rescue 111 Squadron who are in trouble with some 109s, further south over the Channel. Why they're in trouble I soon found out, since in CloD the 109s seem to be able to climb like F-16s from level flight, and fly on forever while streaming fuel or glycol. I shouldn't be surprised, really, as the 110s can roll like FW190s. And of course all aircraft employ a Klingon Cloak of Invisibility when more than about a mile or so away, and are hard to identify when you can see them due to the terrible anti-aliasing. It's a wonder I ever hit anything. This time out, the only thing I managed to shoot was screenshots of my aircraft. For lil 'ol single player me, CloD Blitz Edition is a really nice plane simulator, with some promising but half-built or poorly implemented air combat features. Perhaps the TF 5.0 patch, or more interim updates, will make a significant difference, whenever it arrives. Apart from seemingly-drunken airmen careering wildly around the airfield in any available vehicle, and that the aircraft operate from the hangars not 'dispersal' with blast pens, the airfield ambience is pretty good, complete with realistic fly-by sounds. Speaking of sounds, as it seems impossible to eliminate the stutter every flipping time somebody opens his mouth on the R/T (believe it or not, the recommended solution is to delete, move or rename the radio traffic sound files!) I will have to see if I can identify and eliminate at least the worst of them, including the awful and repetitive 'I'll fly your wing!' and 'I've got your six!'; phrases that might fit Top Gun nicely, but I doubt that any self-respecting WW2 RAF pilot would have used.

1 point74 Squadron knocks down a Heinkel in the London intercept mission. I'm not sure if the February 2019 TF update changed this mission, but the small formation of bombers seems to break up more readily than the last time I played it, with the Heinkels throwing themselves all over the sky when attacked, in rather unrealistic fashion. I lost interest in this performance after knocking down a bomber and went sightseeing instead. Fields and trees instead of warehousing around much of the Royal, East India and Millwall Docks looks very silly, and the only cargo ships I've seen anywhere in CloD so far are tankers. The main landmarks are reasonably well done, though, and the CloD Blitz engine and flak sounds are really good.

1 pointActually it seems the 3D model is a variant of Bobrock's model (https://combatace.com/files/file/13412-sf2-korean-war-era-f9f-2-panther-pak-by-bobrock/, this one). The YAP variant has the pilot seat integrated into the model but no 3D damage model, the CA one lacks the seat but has a 3D damage model, there's also a name difference on the texture file the wings, but that's all, the mapping is the same, the skins are built from the same template. The INIs on the other hand are unique to each version. If it's the Panther that interests you, the one on CA is the best option IMHO.

1 pointDecals for Mercenary, Dhimar and Paran were low-res (128x128) when compared to those of other stock nations. I remade them at the higher stock resolution (256x256). Notice the new, generic Mercenary insignia. It always bothered me that it showed Dhimari colours. Now this insignia is adapt for a fictional Mercenary unit, to be deployed anywhere in the SF2 world.

1 pointfor permissions double check that the original author is a member of the freeware licensing agreement or that they give blanket permission in their readmes. just a couple of unbiased (cough cough) suggestions, add in the US Army, Airliner nation and a red Airliner nation. airliner nation and formation.ini can be found with any of my airliner releases, and it would add more variety to the skies and flight lines, esp as many airlines would get pressed into service or chartered during a conflict no reason why this retired Soldier would want the Army represented
