SF2 Forest Bowl Terrain, V.2 4/5/2020 - For SF2, Any & All (Full-4/5 Merged, + Expansion Packs Reccomended) This is a (mostly) complete revamp of "The Forest Bowl" terrain that was included in the (uncompleted) SF2 Civil/Firefighter Mod. It has been completely retargeted to make it a useful 'combat' terrain. All new movement inis, targets, types, etc. Also, now all 4 seasons are working. This terrain takes place in the fictional world of the Alliance vs the Global Sedition. The map is fully functional for ALL mission types with year spans from the 1940s through the far future (well, at least 2050) ie: There are NO mission type or time limitations. Many and Lots (tm) of new terrain objects have been added, all cities are now valid targets. Shipping, Ground Attack and Armed Recon missions have a good number of routes for both sides to utlize. As is my habit, the terrain is covered with Easter Eggs; you shouldn't have any problems finding them. In short, the terrain is a myth-mash. You may experience longer than normal loading times due to the number of terrain objects and seasonal tiles. As is reccomended, unzip this archive to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you -read- the document through after unzipping, but =BEFORE= installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading. Good Hunting! Gloster Galant FAW.1 - No.92 Squadron, RAF Fighter Command, 1962 During the late summer of 1956 with the English Electric P.1B Lightning programme steadily falling behind schedule, General Alfred Gruenther (the Commander-in-Chief of the United States Air Forces in Europe) expressed his deep concern that it's bases in the UK could not be adequately defended by the "subsonic limeys" so the F-102 Delta Dagger was selected for RAF Fighter Command under the Offshore Procurement Plan with 100 F-102's ordered in November 1956. However with Convair stretched to the max with the F-102, F-106 and B-58 programmes Gloster Aviation were selected to licence build the F-102K as the Gloster Galant FAW.1 with initial deliveries being made to No.19 Squadron and No.92 Squadron at RAF Leconfield in April 1958. Is really hard to land like that and not explode, good work, that pilot deserves a medal... Can I ask which gun got you? Mandatory screenshot, Interception over cold seas.

During a recon mission, light flak caused damage at landing gear... Right wheel was damaged. Luckily the pilot landed safely with right wheel destroyed... Things like this can happen when you underestimate AAAs.

Looking around we found that Deniss Oliveira has been overlooked in his work on the various Mirage's. To amend this oversight, a long overdue elevation to Modder Status has been performed. As many of you know, this involves many arcane rituals, invoking Dark Powers ( and beer) and the sacrifice of Buffalo Wings and so forth. Please extend your congratulations to our newest Modder!!! Welcome brother ... to the Dark Side .... muuuahahahahahahaha

I recommend tinkering with the following three entries for "ExhaustEmitterName" in the data inis of aircraft, installed in FE2: CleanExhaustEmitter (misleading name since this is the "dirtiest" emitter in FE2, gives a wide, thin stretch of greyish smoke behind the aircraft) InlineExhaustEmitter (usually gives a thin, white stream of smoke, as if from an exhaust stack, especially good for inline engines and a favorite of Geezer's if I remember correctly) RotaryExhaustEmitter (basically gives no exhaust effect) (If I can dig up my old, long post for correct order of install effects in FE2...I will re-link it here.) EDIT: Here is the link (to an old post) that suggests a good order for effects installation in FE2 - if certain effects are missing, etc. (https://combatace.com/forums/topic/88700-fe2-bad-framerates/?tab=comments#comment-716531). more photos for the suit, I need to work on the helmet I have started the model but it's not perfect yet.

The VKK-6 suit was widely used, but only for flight at high altitutes. Lets say 10.000 m plus. For combat missions close to the earth up to medium altitutes the PPK-1 was worn.

The pressure suit VKK-6M was only used for hight altitute flights. For this flights the helmet GSh-6 was used. The combination of Helmet ZSh-5 and VKK-6 pressure suit was not used. The helmet ZSh-5 was used in combination with pressure "trousers" (dont know the correct english term, Druckhose we call it in german) PPK-1. It was worn under the pilots uniform. and so it looks:

Thanks guys. I needed to free up a monitor for somewhere else in the home so I went for the safe 'middle-ground' option of a 2k monitor (2560 x 1440) and it's all working fine.

What with Viruses and stuff I have some time on my hands so will have another go at UE. The bottom has fallen out of the Rand - it has gone from 14: USD to 19: USD recently so I don't think I can afford PE at that rate. However UE is good enough for me!

All right, I did that and now its working properly. I never seen it happen before, but, living and learning, right? Thanks!

I bought all the "Wings over" series back in the day. But I only played them for a short time. Soon after i bought them, I upgraded my PC and the "Wings over" sims stopped working? I assumed it had something to do with 32 vs 64 bit OS? I guess I like them enough to buy all the Win7 versions again. So I really cut my teeth on the current version, I don't even remember the "Wings" versions (sorta blurs with the Win7 version). I still have the "Wings over" disks, right next to my Janes disks (LOL). I may have to dust off my retro PC and give it a whirl to refresh the old grey cell. :)

Yeah, spent alot of time enjoying SF2 and if there is a newer version...well...it's worth supporting. I pulled the trigger and pre-ordered... @ Menrva :) By the way, I finally got my fighter stick fixed (had a bad potentiometer) and lately have some time...I look forward to checking out your mods! I downloaded them all and have them in a folder named "Menrva" waiting to be installed - LOL. Thanks! =V=

London tiles mostly reworked with new, more red, tiles. So it looks now: There are some tiles to rework, including the tile with the HMS Belfast that still needs to be removed.
