5 pointsWell guys, I just "finished" this thing (except for the cockpit, which I have never done before, the pilots and the flight model to flight different from an A-4), as you can see there is some AIM-9 floting near the module and after some test dogfights to see how it looks, I was wondering how should this spacecraft be weaponised for a fictional first space war. That is what I want to ask you people! Do you hace any idea of how a first space fighter would be? based on the real Orion capsule that I just made The weapons for me would be the same as they were in their first Earth versions, for examples a space torpedo or missile would be at first as clumsy and unreliable as the first Sidewinders that went into service. Maybe the guns could be also very limited as they have to use magnetic acceleration instead of gunpowder. Maybe the first torpedos have no warhead as its sheer velocity reached without atmosphere is enough to destroy small crafts. I would like to hear your creative ideas of the first space weapons and where it could be fitted into the spacecraft! :)

5 pointsSo RAF Biggin Hill will be in game: The camoflaged runways are better to seen in this screenshot.

4 pointsHere's one way to win the North Atlantic campaign. UllyB's TU-160 in action. Probably don't need two Tu-160 models.

2 pointsThere were soviet combat spacecrafts in reality. Here a footage of Soyuz 7K-VI mockup: It is not widely known, that 3 of 7 launched SALUT space stations were in reality ALMAZ stations. ALMAZ was the military version of SALUT. It was armed with a 23mm gun. IIRC the crew of SALUT 5 trained the space combat with aiming the gun on american SKYLAB space station.

2 pointsThe Rocinante doesn't seem to have any issues with it's rail guns. Or missiles. "spurt bombs", maybe? Ala "Footfall" (small nukes for the emission of x-rays/gamma rays) I think the addition of a 'service module' for the weapons bays, while breaking the look of Dragon, might be something to consider
-
2 pointsOh my gosh!)) no words)) This is cool. it's cooler then water in cooler. I would like to see (and take part) in space battle between Crew Dragons and russian Souzes )) ahaha. with rockets and lazers

2 pointsI hope there's not a revolution and I'm not feeling that even with the current issues. We are all Americans and I would no more pick up arms against my brothers than anything. I hope most people feel that way. The protesting for black lives is on the edge of a good change that needs to happen and I'm praying that it does. The country is moving on without the racist in chief, his opinions and hatred don't matter. The virus being what it is, is small in comparison to what's at stake in our country. We will endure. Shame on our leaders that have sold out to business interests but like all things they won't last forever.

-
2 pointsRAF Biggin Hill I had to move the airfields of Kenley, Biggin Hill and Rochford a little bit, to place them on a more or less correct point on the map.

1 pointWhat size are your tiles? for grass runways you could just paint them on, although it would mean different tiles for each airfield.........hmm, maybe not, just thinking out loud.
-
1 pointWell, when in doubt, you can always consult this guy.... ------- not so much a 'cruise missile', but adding the nuke warhead is just a simple text edit.
-
1 pointNot at all. The recoilless gun is widely used since 1945. The most popular weapons of this weapon type are soviet RPG-7 or german Panzerfaust.
-
1 pointRule #1: You never fuck with the targets ini Rule#2: You never fuck with the types ini. THIS especially! Unless you're a pro at terraforming, best course is to change nothing. When we build terrains, we do things as historically correct as possible, even to the point of placing specific units in EXACT locations. Although, TK has screwed us over by breaking the 'direct called" units. Doing so makes them go 'stealty' and they won't show on the RWR. Especially TEWS. So, by using the random tags (AAA, SAM_RADAR, SAM_Launcher, EWR) one is left hope the userlist (for SAM/Radar) will keep them associated with their own networked units. The same goes for networked AAA units. The level (amount) of air defense units can be changed on your screen. While I'm sure this may only effect single missions, i'm sure there's a line somewhere in the campaign ini that allows you to change the % level of AD units. Messing with the targets ini is the last thing one should do.

1 pointor guns only with too bright tracer effect, to simulate concentrated energy shots not actual bullets, the damage to simulate the biggest caliber available
-
1 pointany sort of kinetic weapon in orbit isn`t practical, realistically speaking, the recoil would throw the craft out of stability
-
1 pointyou did the tactical LASER system, is there difficulty to use the concept? the pod is too big to mount in an internal bay, nose mounted LASER emitter may be?

1 pointThis is an air footage of Biggin Hill during Battle of Britain. Biggin Hill was camouflaged, so that the runways were difficult to see. I dont know what they used for camouflaging the runways. Perhaps they painted them green or so. The contours of the imaginary fields were made by distribute tar on the meadow. I dont know wheter this kind of camo would be successfull to beat the Mk.1 Eyeball sensor of the bomber pilot, but on black and white footage the result is impressive.

1 pointWondering where the best place is to post this Naval News article is. Hoping it's here. First, recently I posted here a SF2 missile file that is the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile or LRASM. It's intended to provide a long-range stick - like over 300 miles - to deal with modern warships. With that, this might interest us all: The whole article is worth a read.

1 pointVeltro's looks good but after a brief fling with some modern jets I think I'm really more interested in working on planes that fit in with the original Strike Fighters date range. The era of dumb bombs and smart pilots, not the other way around! Ouch..................feel the burn! PS: I don't much like the Tu-160 FM I made anyway, it needs a lot of work.
-
1 pointHope you give the same treatment on german airfields. The game's default runways are so unrealistic for the period.

1 pointNot everyone's idea of a Recon platform, but it's actually pretty good in that role. And it's quite good at getting out of the way of fast moving projectiles from grouchy gunners.... But she'll bring you home....

1 pointIt's the same old OV-10A-model. I made a new high-rez-template for it and this is a first skin. Decals are new. And some fakepilot-stuff to improve the model a bit is also added. Required screeenshot:
-
1 pointMostly done, just got to do missile launch mechs...and alter some skin details like around the refuel probe area, and more or less done.... did pilot I had from 2 free models I found....and combined them...I like it .....and it will be released with the T-50..Pak-Fa.will do the 57 too later....with the thrust vectoring.

1 pointSome screenshots from my 2005 Campaign over Dhimar with RAF Raptors, starting with a couple of "fails": My Wingman didn't get the memo that he didn't need to carpet bomb one target with every single Paveway IV he can carry... When you tell your Wingman to engage a target... & he decides that a mid-air collision is preferable to following your orders. -------------
