Mitsubishi G4M1-11 'Betty' - 1st Bomber Regiment, Parani Army Air Force, 1943 Thought to be outside the range of Parani aircraft, the Dhimari city of Shaqaz was heavily bombed during May 1943 by Mitsubishi G4M1's of the Parani Army Air Force. This switch of tactics by the Parani Army Air Force, who had normally operated in support of the Parani Army over the immediate battlefield, led to the deployment of Dhimari P-66 Vanguards to northern areas of Dhimar - further weakening the Royal Dhimari Air Force in their desperate attempts to defend the Mazadran Oil Fields and the Valley of Kerman in the summer of 1943. Yea. If done properly legs, hands, etc could be very entertaining in-game.. But as you said..If not interfering with gauges/display readings. Was thinking about this...in future pits...We will see. What an ancient game you brought to life on those screens!

Well, of course you need a 3ds file and probably a modder's approval. It seems to me that no plugin is needed in this case. But you won't be able to directly convert LODs from the game to 3D Max files. There are pirated programs that allow you to steal models (not all do!) directly from the game in a format suitable for editing in Max, but it is forbidden to discuss such things here - for obvious reasons. In addition, in this case we get only the "naked" model - all animations, node names and their hierarchy, textures, etc. will be lost. That is, the game is worth the candle only if you are very close friends with 3D Max. And, in any case, it cannot be posted here for viewing and downloading. If you just want to experiment, download this file - https://combatace.com/files/file/15458-sf2-ww2-mto-tomahawk-iib-raf-pack/ there RAVEN kindly left us a 3ds file of the cockpit. You can even put it as a cockpit on your F-16C :)
  11. 2 points
you need original 3dmax file of the cockpit - then you can play with it. Add pilot legs or even any other limbs...but this is already creepy) You can not import lod file and edit it. Or - actually, you can import lod file (I am not gonna tell how and what) but it will still not bring you any closer - as a max file from imported lod is generally unusable. personal use or not - would be at least appropriate to ask modder of the original file.
  12. 2 points
Of course you can. Not only the pilot's legs, but even his arms. )) But you need to have at least a 3D model of the cockpit to which you are going to attach the legs. https://combatace.com/files/file/9208-pilot-legs-developer-pack/

In 1983 the USMC barracks in Beirut were suicide bombed causing 241 american deads, 58 french and 6 civilians, the USN reacted bombing Syrian and Hezbollah targets, we join a USN A-7E Corsair squadron on one of those raids in September 1983... Recent talks about Akrotiri AB and the Escort jammed prompted me to design and fly this one, It will be a semi historical mission, created on the fly in the editor, I know the Hornet was not on the carriers back in 1983, but I really like the Saratoga, also I don't used the proper squadrons or skins, but it was historical enough for me, as I tried to use proper planes and weapons, and was damn fun, so wanted to share with you guys, enjoy! Launching The American fleet Our escort Jammers Lebanon coast on my radar Our escort turning to engage FOX 3! The enemies Their happy end Spamming Phoenixes And R-23, unfortunately for him, he had to dodge the Tomcat wingman Sparrow coming his way so the R23 lost guidance. Getting ready to bomb Bombing from several directions at same time, confused the AAA Target destroyed Syrian reacted too late and missile never was a real threat (apart from the Sa-3, got a launch from a nearby Sa-6 too that properly tracked my wingman, as the jammer already departed, but we got out of range) Back to the boat for some late breakfast or early lunch! Was a fun mission, SF2 can still provide fun in a historical way!

Dear colleagues, as I have already said, I am not an expert or a thief, I just asked why I got the 3d max program and I have no idea how it would be done, it was just to play a little with the program. I thought that with the lod file it was possible, but I see from your answers that it cannot. I do not need permission from the creator because I have no idea how to do it. I will expect some knowledgeable charitable soul to perform such an operation. Greetings to all and thanks for the responses PD my profession is a doctor from many years ago and I have not stolen nor will I ever steal, I dedicate myself to cure and my hobby is aerial simulators

There are new cockpits for the F16 made by member here, why not ask if you may have copy of it to use....I did for the model im working on using F16 pit as russian copied version.... cant recal who made the pits but just ask im sure the creator will help. you can animate parts of pilots too...I did in the DC3 cockpit..making feet move with rudder pedals.hawk pit and others.

Why not? )) The armchair aces would not feel like an invisible man in a virtual cockpit. The main thing is that the other limbs of the pilot do not interfere with reading the readings of the instruments. )) If done correctly, it would look pretty good. Something like that...

Two Mirage IIIRJ single-seat photo-reconnaissance aircraft, received in March 1964 (98,99 then 798,799 and last 498,499). Other Mirage IIICJ were later transformed in recon plane (41, 53, 59, 85 later 741, 753, 759, 785 and finally 441, 453, 459, 485). The IDF used several different noses on those planes called Moshel, Tamil, Tashbetz and Tsni'ut. Denis made all! WHAT'S IN: - 6 new 6 IDF planes; - Historical Serial Numbers; - True ATAR sounds; - IDF pilots; OPERATIONS: - open canopies key=10 autoclosing at take off; CREDITS: - Denis Oliviera new noses 3D parts and inis tweakings; - Spillone104 sounds; - Paulopanz decals and some minor editings; INSTALL: - You must have SF-2 ISDRAEL; - put all in main mod folder and overwrite; NOTE: It was very difficult to find good references. So hints and suggestion from our israeli friends to upgrade the pack will be very welcome That's all. Enjoy @paulopanz PS: I asked and begged my great 3d nose artist friend Denis to make these planes. He kindly made them and granted me to upload! Thank you!!

OGMA Dragão - OK Flight, Aeronautica Militar, 1942 At the outbreak of World War Two in September 1939 the Portuguese 'Estado Novo' Government (led by Prime Minister António de Oliveira Salazar) immediately announced that whilst the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance of 1373 remained intact, Salazar considered that Portugal was free to remain neutral in the war as the UK Government had not sought Portuguese assistance. On September 5th, 1939 the British Government confirmed their understanding of Salazar's announcement but regretfully explained to Salazar that they were no longer able to supply the 15 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter aircraft recently ordered by Portugal. With most of their Gloster Gladiators having been transferred to the Azores the Aeronáutica Militar had literally a handful of obsolete fighter aircraft with which to defend the Portuguese mainland. In a speech to the Portuguese parliament on September 11th 1939, Salazar boldly announced that Portugal would design, manufacture and deploy it's own indigenous fighter aircraft before the end of 1940 further announcing that Oficinas Gerais de Material Aeronáutico (OGMA) already had a design on the drawing board at their Alverca do Ribatejo factory that would be urgently expanded to accommodate the production of the new fighter - soon to named as the OGMA Dragão. OGMA's design was a fairly conventional low-wing monoplane featuring all-metal construction but with fabric-covered control surfaces typical of the era. The planned powerplant was the Bristol Taurus III radial engine but as OGMA were nervous about getting these engines from the UK they made an early decision to switch to the Pratt & Whitney R-1830-17 Twin Wasp 14-cylinder air-cooled radial piston engine. Whilst lacking cockpit armour and self-sealing fuel tanks the Dragão was well armed with four Browning .50 caliber machine guns all firing through the propeller arc. Development moved swiftly and by March 1940 the Dragão prototype was taking shape at the OGMA factory but the first flight was delayed due to persistent hydraulic problems with the undercarriage retraction. Finally, on August 15th 1940, Paulo Coluna (OGMA's chief test pilot) took off from Alverca do Ribatejo for a successful 40-minute maiden flight. Entering service in February 1941 the Dragão remained in low-rate production until 1944 and it's low wing loading of 26.9 lb/ft2 gave it outstanding turning performance with relatively light controls even at close to maximum speed but the low power was a serious handicap at all altitudes with poor acceleration and a low top speed of 329mph.
