I think I managed to complete the tango boat but with more than 2000 poly that I have promised, after adding all these things to the boat but I will make the 3 low poly files to go with it, swambast I think you will be interested in this one.

Included below is the final/polished ver. of the FM (data ini) for the Junkers J.I - flight characteristics similar as in the previous data ini, but with a few important changes, indicated below: - alt. table data nos. have now been re-tweaked, with a more subtle power drop as alt. increases above 1000 m; over-compressed throttle is now at about 82-3% throttle and above - slightly improved alpha/lift nos. for top and bottom wings; also included lift nos. for left/right stabs since they were missing for those entries - reduced damping/bouncing effect nos. for the tailskid and left/right wheels, so that the Junkers sits more effectively on the ground (with no negative Gs popping up at times with engine off) - top speed near SL at about 80% throttle now around 175 kph (with full over-compressed throttle around 176-7 kph - negligible difference) - top speed at full throttle around 2000 m alt. is now around 156-7 kph (close to historical) - good climbs now possible as low as about 120 kph (previously would stall/sink if speeds dropped below about 135 kph) - stalls now happen below about 90 kph at normal throttle, and below about 80 kph at full over-compressed throttle (more realistic considering the thick airfoils); stalls are now also slightly more mushy and manageable - wing vibrations still present when approaching stall speed, also in high-speed dives/maneuvers; otherwise not noticeable in normal flight envelope - top practical ceiling is now around 2800 m alt. (800 m increase over previous data ini), with top speeds at that alt. in the 110s kph at best (have therefore pegged the max. theoretical ceiling at 3000 m alt. now; I am now convinced that the 4000 m alt. number sometimes recorded for this Junkers was largely "projected performance") - use over-compressed (full) throttle for quicker take-offs, then drop throttle back down to about 80% - take-offs are good around 130 kph; landings are good at around 110-120 kph; for landings, come in with engine at idle, and prepare beforehand since the Junkers has lots of momentum and takes a while to slow down - loops only to be attempted at higher/safer alts.; there is a small risk of stalling and beginning to drop inverted, at the top of loops, so give yourself enough alt. to drop the nose and gain speed again - feel free to use full over-compressed throttle at alts. above about 1500 m (below that it's largely useless for top speed, although it helps somewhat with steeper climbs at lower alts.) Von S EDIT: FM data ini file now removed. See the relevant Breguet and Junkers packages near the top of page 26 of this thread.

The Ilyushin Il-76 (NATO reporting name: Candid) is a multi-purpose four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Soviet Union's Ilyushin design bureau. It was first planned as a commercial freighter in 1967, as a replacement for the Antonov An-12. It was designed to deliver heavy machinery to remote, poorly served areas. Military versions of the Il-76 have been widely used in Europe, Asia and Africa. WHAT'S IN: - an upgraded Il-76 model - 28 new skins (4 VVS, 4 Aeroflot, 1 Atlant-Sojuz, 1 FAPLA, 4 IAF, 2 IrAF, 1 SyAF 1 IrAL, 2 LARAF, 1 NKPAF, 2 PLAAF, 1 QJJ, 1 UkAF, 1 UzAF, 2 UN) - data.ini tweaked (smoke etc.) - historical serials - special planes - paratroopers CREDITS: - Veltro2k: Plane - Wrench: original templates - paulopanz: skins, decals, tweaks OPERATIONS: - Key = 10 door open Enjoy @paulopanz

I have some problems with the campaign. The RAF is fought down. No resistance in the air anymore. But the ground forces does not make the last step, to conquer the british home base, to win the campaign. So i'm working on finetuning and testing. Again and again. Its boring.

Just saw the preview video, and I love how you used "my" Tornado menu music setup for this, I use it for my original Desert Storm mod install, and I do like the switch of "We can fly" and the main theme for the menus. I'll get to flying in this after it goes public, but I'm surprised to be part of it in some way haha.

These are not machine guns. This 'organ' was never installed on serial J.1 aircraft. Only on the J.816 / 17 aeroplane was experimented with installing a battery in the fuselage floor with two LMG 08/15 Spandau machine guns at an angle of 45 from for firing at ground targets, but the additional guns remained at the experimental level. Besides, it doesn't matter at all in FE. If only because gunners do not know how to fire at ground targets.

This is simply a design choice. We cannot create thousands of different custom hangar graphics for all aircraft and skins, it would be a waste of time, resources and space. A generic hangar screen is used instead. Unfortunately, no. The issues you described are mostly due to your system going out of memory or your system does not meet some of the minimum requirements (including owning the mentioned SF2 titles by TW). The terrain and campaign data (which usually are a source of crashes) have no visible bugs in the mod, they were checked with third-party tools to ensure their integrity. The ODS mod is not stock SF2; it features tons of higher quality 3d models, 2k textures and so on. You need a more powerful PC to experience it. Nothing we can do about crashes on low-end systems, the game engine is really dated and performs worse when objects differ in quality detail and size.

well, this is as good a pause point as any. now i gotta look up some -32Cfs....

there's a whole set of templates available for SF2 in the downloads section (albeit 1024x768 stock size) as to the "outside ccip", did you try just "turning off" the cockpit (ie: no-cockpit view). HUD data always stays up

Mirage F1BQ This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. Two-seat trainer for Iraq. 18 ordered of which 15 were delivered between 1980 and 1989. The extra seat and controls added only 30 cm (12 in) to the length of the fuselage, but at the cost of less internal fuel capacity and the loss of the internal cannon. The empty weight increased by 200 kg (440 lb), partly due to the addition of two Martin-Baker Mk 10 zero-zero ejection seats. Aircrafts 4609 to 4614 came into service in 1988 and later. A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered. Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this. This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware. Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms. Enjoy The Mirage F-1 Team.

If you mean those strange wing vibrations that happen occasionally, those were implemented on purpose - since the all-metal wing tips were sometimes known to vibrate. I will however look over the wing alpha/lift nos. either later today or tomorrow - since it is a heavy aircraft (empty weight around 1760 kg) - and I can barely manage to get it to about 2000-2050 meters altitude. Theoretical ceiling on it is apparently 4000 m - I somehow doubt that number - but I will work on the lift values a bit more at any rate - if I can get a practical ceiling out of the Junkers that is a bit closer to 3000 m alt. or so, I will be happy. I will also look over the over-compression on the engine again, overall power output, and the top speed. The top speed of 155 kph typically listed, I am "guesstimating" here - is probably top speed taken at alt. - as I have tried to model in the FM. (I did also try the other variant of having the top speed at SL close to 155 kph - but then the Junkers barely manages to get to 1000 m alt., etc.) I may also try to reduce the stall nos. on it - that may be the simplest solution without too many other alterations since it will be of benefit to other things too, such as the max. practical ceiling. Will post a fresh data ini for it once I'm done with a few experiments. Von S

Yes, he had such a plane. It was a field modification. The ground crews took the wing guns from a Me-109E and put them in Gallands 109F. Messerschmitt was not amused. Later Galland has flown FW-190, but he prefered the 109.

30 years, and here you are. Captain. Why is that? Its one of lifes mysteries sir.

"parked" only. a shipping route, tho historically accurate, would be impossible due to the cargo ship formations. and as the game reads not real difference between land and sea ... we all know THAT one!! :)

Yet this 'iron' was not an attack plane. The Tin Donkey was an army co-operation plane, the contact-patrol machine and a low-altitude scout. The main task of the German J-types is to monitor the actions of the enemy and friendly troops on the line of contact. The weapon is for defense only, although the gunner could throw small fragmentation bombs. The CL-types is much better as an attack plane, which has been demonstrated in practice ...

Some F-4's getting a bit of a make over....... Does any one know if I could get the RAT to pop up as part of the damage model or should I just dump it as another not needed gimmick ?? Textures will be 4096x4094, might not bother with spec/bumps if there's enough detail on the model & skin.
