Progress shots. I still need to change some of the flight numbers for ECN 1/13- the aircraft below (No.117 flown by Cap. Treillard) was actually White 1, not White 2 as depicted. The P63.11 may take some time as the fuselage is mapped a little differently to the P630. It means that the size and orientation of some layers will have to be tweaked. However, when done, there are dozens of possible squadrons and theatres.

F-22A Raptor Add-on October 13th, 2021 (1st Release) by yakarov79, baffmeister, Crusader, guuruu and Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is a high quality add-on of the F-22A Raptor aircraft. The original model had been made by Heberth, and it was released in alpha stage. Upon noticing room for improvement, yakarov79 helped finalize the 3d model with numerous, additional details; accurate pylons and rail launchers, new external fuel tanks, highly detailed rack and small diameter bomb 3d models, canopy and thrust-vectoring animations, high-res skin with specular and bump maps, updated cockpit model, and so on. A realistic, well-thought flight model has been produced by our expert, baffmeister. Moreover, Crusader offered his great expertise to improve upon his previous modification for the Raptor's avionics. All their efforts have raised the quality bar of the project I had started; much credits to them all. I further polished the package by adding historically accurate weapon loadouts, my selection of sounds (including authentic engine samples by guuruu), realistic camouflage shapes and colours, reworked decals for the actual USAF's F-22A squadrons, new cockpit textures and other tweaks here and there. Each squadron has got historically correct serial numbers, and they appear in chronological order in the loadout screen; the serial numbers at the bottom of the list are those of aircraft that joined that squadron for last, while the serials at the beginning of the list indicate those aircraft that were available to that squadron for first. Like you would expect in an opera omnia, I even reproduced three unique paint schemes of real Raptors; the air superiority camouflage of the EMD 91-4001 Prototype of September 1997, the temporary "Blue Nose" decoration of the "Cripes A'Mighty" Raptor assigned to the 149th Fighter Squadron in April 2010, and a generic Mid-Production livery sporting the markings of the last Raptor ever produced that flew for the first time in March 2012. Templates by yakarov79, tweaked by yours truly, are included for your skinning fantasies. Notes: -The cockpit is not yet accurate, as various details couldn't be reworked due to RL and time constraints. We were working on a brand new cockpit with accurate HUD and displays. Slimers with correct illumination were also planned. Hopefully they will be a thing in a future re-release. -The aircraft folder is named "F-22A", just like the one included in a number of mod packages which use an old 3d model by Dels. In order to avoid mismatches and bugs of any sort, it's highly suggested to either remove or rename the aircraft folder using Dels' Raptor 3d model. -GPS guidance bombs (EOGB) do not work as intended in SF2, there are issues about them not locking on target and about AI behaviour. The GBU-39 has been set as an EOGR, so it works like a missile; this is a needed workaround to have them loaded properly on a rack while keeping the GPS guidance property. -You need to tweak the SoundList.ini file in order to fully experience any new sounds. Read "(Add to SoundList)" for further details, and remember to extract the SoundList.ini file from the FlightData.cat archive, if you do not have a custom one in your mod folder already. >Credits (in no particular order): -Heberth, for making this (once forgotten) fantastic 3d model. -Julhelm, for sharing the files of his superb F-22A cockpit 3d model, allowing yakarov79 to improve upon it. -yakarov79, for his invaluable help in finalizing the 3d model and remaking the base textures; you have my gratitude. -baffmeister, for his excellent flight model; it's thanks to him if this beauty flies as good as it looks. -Crusader, for reworking the avionics enhancement made for Julhelm's F-22A cockpit, and for improving the AIM missiles. -guuruu, for sharing his RWR symbols improvement mod and for making better engine sounds. -ravenclaw_007, for the AIM missiles from his top notch Weapons Pack 2, the GBU-32 JDAM bomb and the ACES II seat 3d models. -viper63a, for his old F-22A USAF Raptors Redux package, from which I borrowed decals. -simonmiller416, for his smokeless rocket effects mod. -mue, for his LOD Viewer which helped immensely in the making of the skins. -Cocas, for further help given to Heberth for the aircraft's 3d model. -My girlfriend, for supporting me in all of my endeavours. Additional ReadMe files by yakarov79 and baffmeister have been included among few others; be sure to read those to know about their work in better detail. >Disclaimer: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages. This mod may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions.

The Hawker Siddeley Harrier is a British military aircraft. It was the first of the Harrier Jump Jet series of aircraft and was developed in the 1960s as the first operational ground attack and reconnaissance aircraft with vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) capabilities and the only truly successful V/STOL design of that era. The Harrier was developed directly from the Hawker Siddeley Kestrel prototype aircraft, following the cancellation of a more advanced supersonic aircraft, the Hawker Siddeley P.1154. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) ordered the Harrier GR.1 and GR.3 variants in the late 1960s. WHAT'S IN - 28 new skins - all historical serial numbers (GR.1/GR.1A/GR.3) - sound CREDITS - Wrench partial templates - paulopanz skins, decals etc - warpaint 74 references You need SF-2 Europe to fly Enjoy @paulopanz

Why are you using that outdated Raptor? We released a brand new one and the RWR works: https://combatace.com/files/file/17741-f-22a-raptor-add-on/ If you don't see a third-party aircraft on the RWR, usually the problem is on that aircraft, not on the one you're flying. When it comes to missiles, it's a well known limitation with the game, AHMs are not shown on the RWR. SF2 is not designed for contemporary avionics. You'll find numerous topics about the matter: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/83245-mysteries-of-the-rwr/?tab=comments#comment-717317 or https://combatace.com/forums/topic/85846-rwr-detection-of-ahm/?tab=comments#comment-691189

Simple skin pack with a few sets of skins for Navy versions of A-7 Corsair II - A/B/C/E and E_74. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) It is designed for and works only in SF2 series. To run this mod you need also access to TW lod files from SF2 Series. *.ini files for loadout, avionics, cockpit, or aircraft data - not included. Skins cover the years 1970-1982 for the Atlantic and Pacific Fleet. The pack did not cover Vietnam War CVW deployments. Pack contains skins and decals. I have included also decals from the upcoming pack for low-viz SLUF. This way it is simpler for me, all decals are in one place, save time, and will not harm anything. Skins sets are made in pairs - two squadrons for CVW for a specific year. I could not find all proper BuNo / Modex but I am considering this as ongoing work in progress, so one day if I will learn something new there will be an update. Also, not all squadrons have CAG markings, sometimes i could not find info on markings...so I left it, again there might be an update if new info appears. I believe that pack after unp[backing is around 2GB. So make some space for SLUF. All skins, new bump maps, specular and decals are made by me. Decals are made by me...but I think I have used one or two decals from MAKOTO pack (VA-192?) report bugs. enjoy. Jarek Hereda. P.S. This is huge, a lot of copy-paste for me, all decals.ini, textur.ini, etc...So if you will find that one decal is not showing up or something...just check first - maybe there is some bug in *.ini file. Fix, post solution, etc... So others can benefit from your fix. I put a lot of effort and time, checked everything twice..still gremlins can appear. ************************************************************* This is freeware; it CANNOT be distributed unless permissions are granted by myself. Brits of a certain age may remember a 1970s/1980's comic called 'Battle Picture Weekly' which then became simply 'Battle,' and a strip called 'Johnny Red' When pilot Johnny Redburn is discharged from the RAF for striking an officer, he is forced to join the Merchant Navy. But a German sneak attack forces Redburn back into the air — in a stolen CAM ship Hurricane when the pilot is killed! Having beaten off the enemy bombers Redburn aims for Russia, planning to save his plane and career, but on landing, meets the “Falcon Squadron” of the 5th Soviet Air Brigade, who are under German attack! Redburn takes to the skies once more — to fight for Russia! Now, thanks to Crisisloaner I have a Falcons decal that I can apply to the various Hurricane models we have in-game as well as the assortment of MiGs, Yaks and Laggs that the Falcons flew, and over 40 years after thrilling to the comic exploits after school I get to fly as Johnny Red (or Yakob if I feel like flying a Russian job) after work and, as the advert says, I'm loving it... A Merlin engine and 8 .303s - the sound of my childhood.. 'Tough luck chum. I think it's time you got out..' The Luftwaffe pilot calmly switched off his engine in an attempt to starve the fire... 'He's getting away Johnny' 'Leave him Rudi, if he survives a landing in a snowfield he's still got a twenty mile walk to the nearest German lines..' Heading for home.. Escort mission.. ...The newest replacement Chekov had only joined the squadron the day before, and there hadn't been enough time to paint his aircraft in Falcons markings.. Later, in the midst of battle... 'Chekov, watch your tail...' 'I'm not going to get there in time...' Johnny rolled in the avenge the youngster.. And made short work of the 109 Johnny leads the Falcons to intercept a bombing raid over the Black Sea coast.. 'Get stuck in lads, there's plenty for everyone..' Johnny and Nina..

On this day back in 1989 the Bulgarian Air Force received its first and second MiG-29s, which both happened to be MiG-29UB (izd. 9-51A) and received board numbers 01 and 02 respectively. Later board 01 was re-numbered to 11 and was lost in 2011 due to a crash. It was a result of premature rotation and gear retraction on take-off, which caused damage to the centerline drop tank, leakage of fuel and fire. The pilots managed to gain altitude, point the aircraft into a safe direction, where it would not crash into inhabited places and successfully ejected. First touch-down on Bulgarian soil (or should I say tarmac):

Absolutely, Balloons were winched down at a moments notice, also the observers could jump, and did. Dont blame 'em really. Most fighter pilots stayed away from them as the Archie was particularly nasty anywhere near them, as well as "flaming Onions" being sent the way of any intrepid balloon hunter. They were that nasty to take on, that downing a balloon was regarded as a legitimate kill, and counted as such. So yes, winching and parachuting please !!

I second this. That would be wonderful and add a bit more challenge to the experience.

I wish.. ..unfortunately only a small fraction of that time was spent on the model; the remainder of the time was taken up by my trying to survive this10-year long financial crisis!! Fret not; once I've finished the Mk7 and Mk10 ejection seats required by some of the Greek F-5a(s), it will be released! Regards, Sophocles

Not quite this day in history, but more like the history we're living through right now. Kabul Airport, August 2021, and the Afghan population storm the tarmac to try to flee from the Taliban who are taking back the country. US troops try to secure the airport to allow flights to arrive, load and leave safely...
