    I don't want to steal the Rio de la Plata terrain post, so I will post this as a new threat. I asked permission to the new YAP manager in order to post this here, and got it, so everything is clear and approved. I attached the data of their "Target aircraft", is a "plane" that is on the ground and that is attacked by helo gunners. It works, as I tried in my own missions. Maybe someone here can find it interesting and maybe even improved. Thanks to the members of YAP Revamp Works Project by allowing me to post this on CA. Target_DATA.INI

    Okay, it's possible But there's many things to do. It's a mod designed for 1st generation install, not for SF2. So if you follow the instructions you have 0 chance of making it work. - use an ini file made for SF2 - create a "Photo" folder for the all files provided in the mod and put it in the Pilots folder - create a TGA file with the bmp file, and reverse the photo upside down (Any problem PM me) Then you can follow the instructions of the mod readme and it will need tens of "launch game / check /exit game / adjust" to have the photo where you want it. If you have a doubt, try with [Photo] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT Position=(here the position figures you want) PilotModelName= SeatID=3 (or SeatID=2 if it's a single seater, or more 4-5... if it's a multiple crew aircraft or using fakepilot trick) and you shoud have a pilot floating in the cockpit. The pilot is easier to check than the photo and as there's no LOD indicated it will be the stock pilot by default. If you don't see the pilot something is wrong. It's a tricky mod to use, but it's brilliant lol

Major changes preferred, although in some cases like KC-135, F-4D to E, and C-130 different models could be ok. and you gotta name the unit and rough year of the change. to kick off, the 120th Fighter Squadron, Colorado Air National Guard.     I really loved all your Su-35 versions. Prime work!!! But for me, who fly in HARD settings, looks like they all try to roll to left by themselves. Maybe you should check this in the future.

    Would it be possible to put a photograph in your cockpit? Often pilots are shown to have a photo of a loved one inside their cockpit attached to the dashboard to remind them of home, give them inspiration, etc. Would it be possible to stick one in a cockpit through some kind of texture edit or something?

    Russian sources claim R-77-SD have 100km range, AIM-120-C-7 is claimed to have 120km. Ramjet R-77-PD is supposed to have more, but no one has seen it in actual service - unicorn missile

    There's a mod by FastCargo that does just that. Check the Downloads section and I would tell you the exact name if I remembered it. Should be in either the SF1 or SF2 section.

    I just uploaded a revamped NL07_Steppe terrain to the above site. In this case, I decided to move islands and cities around, to make things more logical and natural. The terrain has a variety of targetareas now. The harbor from Islandjungle was ported over, because an island needs a harbor. The other two terrains were updated as well. NL08_Scrub now has docks with patrol-boats, along the river. NL10_Islandjungle got more populated harbors. Also I did some height-map corrections here.

    It depends on many factors - altitude, speed, type of target and direction - frontal or rear semisphere. If you fly at 20000m at 1.5M and launch at frontal semisphere of something like C-130 or B-52 - you may hit even from 150km. If you fly lower and slower, and launch a catch-up against a fighter, the hit is not guaranteed even at 30-40km. The problem with such long-range massive missiles is that while they have lots of energy - no joke, traveling at 5-6M, their maneuverability is limited and they use a lot of anticipation while tracking their target. Fighters usually can dodge them if timely maneuver is made. This is how it work in real life, dunno how accurately it is modeled in the game

    During Bay of Pigs VA-34 A-4B Skyhaks from the USS Essex flew a CAP/ escort mission with the intention of protecting the Rebal A-26 Invaders but due to a timing cock up were an hour late and missed engaging the Cuban T-33A fighters. They also flew multiple reconnaissance flights over the invasion beach throughout the incident. Due to President Kennedy insisting that there be no proof of US involvement the Skyhawks had their USN markings painted over. This was one of the first VSF Skyhawk detachments and the A-4B could not carry the AIM-9 at this point so Skyhawks operating over Cuba just had two wing drop tanks plus thier 20mm cannons.
