4 pointsMiG-27K Kayra. The most advanced Strike Flogger. Very capable jammer, had had laser-, radar- and TV-guided missiles with pinpoint accurancy. Anti-Radar-Missiles made to fight down HAWK and Patriot SAM systems. The only one Flogger that was able to drop laserguided bombs. Kayra was a top fighterbomber. Here in the colors of Kazakhstan. If you look to the nose you see the window for the Laserdesignator of the Kayra system. It can look not only forwad, but also behind. Typical for a Flogger: when rolling over the runway, the canopy was rised by 10 cm to get a better ventilation in the cockpit. Direct in the nose tip is the window of the TV-system of Kayra.

3 pointsHi, while modding time is challenged these days I've had at least 3 requests to make a very large aircraft hangar, capable of housing something like B-52s, KC-135 fueling tankers and more. As far as I understand, we don't really have too many hangar options of that scale. So I decided to honor the requests and made this one from scratch. This is the version I am using, which is much more typical than what you find in some of the newer reference images (e.g., the newer half-dome / wide arc hangars from recent images are very new and quite rare costing est. $34M). Anyway, let me know of any suggestions you might have; otherwise once I finalize the exterior, I will begin creating an interior version as well. Side note, I've created it so the center emblem is completely customizable - you can remove it altogether, you can easily add your own version, etc. so this should allow great flexibility to use it as you need it. Thanks. /

2 pointscause you're not using the right one. use the one I built (ok, modded) in the EB/RB/WB-66 packs. simple copy/paste from there, and editing the main ini. HGBN's original pack dosen't use the same pit as the other; trust me mine is the closest we'll ever get (even if it's from a Phantom)

2 pointsHey there! Just wanted to let you know that we'll be uploading the first of our four new pilot models soon. By the way, if any of you out there happen to have some pilot squadron patches from the '70s it would be great if you send them my way I'd be forever grateful if you could send them my way. Thanks a bunch!

1 pointHow can anyone seriously defend this? This is clearly as @Menrva called it, "ripping-off without shame." Of course my works have been stolen and used without my permission as well - disgraceful indeed. This seems to be more the norm these days, people coming in stealing whatever they want, putting the goods back together in some way and then desperately wanting attention and recognition to lift their egos. Sad from where we once were, but reality indeed and another warning to stay guarded on what is publicly shared...

1 pointJust wanted to let everyone know that a user active on FB posted news of his "mod" on ModDB with a link to it. He goes by the nickname "Strike Fighters 2" (how original) and has a following of over 500 users. The package is a mix of mods from CombatACE without any permission from the original authors, including yours truly; he made use of the NL terrains package that gerwin and I produced. I also saw one of the terrains by Wrench in the screenshots, and I'm sure he got a lot more in the package I don't dare downloading. The guy apparently made his own skins for aircraft and cockpits, nothing wrong with that, but he's also sharing tons of aircraft and terrains which he definitely not produced, and doesn't even credit the authors at all. If you're among his 500+ followers, consider yourself on par with him, shame on you. We produce tons of mods in free time for free, but that doesn't mean that our work can be shared elsewhere and others can take credit for it without shame. I don't have the power of closing his FB page. I have an account on ModDB though and I reported both his page: Strike Fighters 2 - Lightning 2 - Falcon Edition mod - ModDB and his profile: StrikeFighters2 - ModDB. Due to how ModDB works, multiple reports are needed until the admins consider them. You don't need an account to report it, so I'd appreciate if you click on the " ! " in the Profile box. Thanks in advance.

1 pointGentlemen, It's the holidays and a new year is right around the corner. Nobody needs harsh words though I understand some people are passionate about their views. Let's please consider getting back to where we were before this topic was ever started and let us not ruin some good friendships over any of this. Yes, some have been wronged but our problem isn't with the people here but the ones taking work and sharing it inappropriately. When it comes down to it, we're all limited to regulate proprietary infringement unless you're willing to spend the time and money it takes to police it. I wish you all great holiday blessings and may 2024 bring health, prosperity, and happiness to you and your families. Kindly, Erik

1 point@Menrva Sorry mate, I understand where you're coming from and like I say I was'nt trying to cause any rifts or ruffle any feathers. This is the modern age and sadly morals and ethics mean nothing where the internet is concerned.

1 pointIt's not worth losing any sleep over piracy issues really. Do you REALLY know how many models and skins etc have been and still are created using pirate copies of 3DS Max and Photoshop ? There would be an awful lot less pages of downloads here at CA without them. Not trying to be argumentative or anything, just stating a fact. A lot of folks here get all wound up about piracy issues while being fully guilty of it themselves.
-
1 pointI reported the facebook page for link to piracy (it's a link to the game on MediaFire of the SF2 NA gamekit), for IP infringement and for not asking permission for IP work. I also reported on ModDB the page for IP infringement and publishing material without authors consent.

1 pointI just downloaded this modification to watch what happened. My planes are there too. sure, the author did not ask my permission. If you gave your plane as a gift and share it, be prepared that it will spread over the Internet. Let the schoolboy play, don't damage your nerve cells by this. I deleted the modification and just forgot about it. it's just a rambling collection of planes. It's not worth my attention. My opinion.

Operation_Salazar: From 1966 onward, the pro-independence guerrilla movement MPLA expend their previously-limited insurgency operations to the East of Angola. The UNITA, a smaller pro-independence guerrilla organisation established in the East, support the MPLA. The FAP start counter-insurgency military campaign, called Operation Salazar, to expel the guerrilla movements operating in the East to beyond the frontiers of Angola. The Government of South Afrika supports the efforts of the FAP. PLEASE BE AWARE: This release of Operation_Salazar is unpolished and is to be considered a Beta version. In short, there will be bugs and not all of them have been found. Hello SF2 flyers, For several late 1930s and early WW2 prop aircraft, tweaks have been applied to the data inis, ranging from lift values for wings and wing tips to the engine section, prop rpms, flight control section, gears section, flaps, also empty weight, inertia values, ceilings, engine sounds, rudder reversal effect fix, aileron/elevator/rudder sensitivity and movement, etc., depending on the type tweaked. Tweaks are not as extensive as for my FE2 work - but I've tried to get them into the "90% realistic enough" category for SF2 since these higher performing types are difficult to precision peg to within a km or two of historical stats., in contrast to the slower-moving FE2 types. Many thanks to the original FM modders for these prop types, including Baffmeister, Wrench, Cocas, MontyCZ, Charles of A-Team, Coupi, Paulopanz, and others I may not have mentioned here. The data inis are for SF2 installs only, tested at hard FM settings (no guarantees that the AI can land them nicely, although they fly them just fine). Please read the included "Read Me" file for more thorough information and also to access the links to the aircraft that have been tweaked. Happy flying, Von S DISCLAIMER: All Von S mods, for FE2, SF2, also WOFFue, are subject to the CombatAce "freeware" terms of agreement. Mods may be shared with others, included on other media devices, also modded further, providing that original documentation and/or credit is included, and providing that the mods remain free to use. Von S mods shall not be sold, resold, etc., and Von S takes no responsibility for injuries or fixations that may result from flying heavily tweaked FMs or from attempts to enjoy real flying without aid or instruction from a qualified flight instructor. -

Hello SF2 Flyers, For the post-WW2 prop. high-performance aircraft, several tweaks have been applied to the data inis, ranging from lift values for wings and wing tips to the engine section, prop. rpms, flight control section, gears section, flaps, also empty weight, inertia values, ceilings, engine sounds, rudder reversal effect fix, aileron/elevator/rudder sensitivity and movement, etc., depending on the type tweaked. Tweaks are not as extensive as for my FE2 work - but I've tried to get them into the "90% realistic enough" category for SF2 since these high-performance types are difficult to precision peg to within a km or two of historical stats., in contrast to the slower-moving FE2 types. Also included with this package are my minor data ini tweaks for several Flogger types, such as the MiG-23 S, early M, ML, P, MLA, late variant "98," and export variants MF and MS. Many thanks to the original FM modders for the late prop. types, including Baffmeister, Wrench, Cocas, MontyCZ, Charles of A-Team, Coupi, Paolopanz, and others I may not have mentioned here. The data inis are for SF2 installs only, tested at hard FM settings (no guarantees that the AI can land them nicely, although they fly them just fine). The Me109 G5 and H0 are variants on the stock G10 package provided on CombatAce (to install simply copy the relevant aircraft folders, rename as per my included folders, and drop in the relevant files). P-47 Sprint upgrades are variants on the ETO P-47D Bubbletop model and PTO P-47D Razorback model. Also included with this package are three sounds for a Pratt-Whitney, Centaurus, and Me109 either Benz or Hisso powered (sound works good for both). Links to the relevant aircraft that correspond with these data ini tweaks are located in the included "Read Me" file with the package. Please go through the Read Me for more thorough info. regarding these FM tweaks. Version 1.2 of this package includes the P-47N and improves the data inis for the other Jug and Superbolt variants. Happy flying, Von S DISCLAIMER: All Von S mods, for FE2, SF2, also WOFFue, are subject to the CombatAce "freeware" terms of agreement.
