6 pointsbased on some pictures i found the AN/ALQ-131 block-1 was in service from 1983 , the Block-2 from 1989 and i assume the Block-3 (EAPUP) from 2020/2021 , i hope i´m right with my time frames visual differences on the pods / blocks are mainly the lower antenna housing Block-1 Block-2 and the Block-3 (EAPUP) this one is not yet final

4 pointsthe 3rd and latest update is a digital AN/ALQ-131 EAPUP , the contract is from 2019 worth 44 million dollars and this pod will replace all existing AN/ALQ-131 pods , no idea if there will be a shallow version of it

2 pointsFor the skins to show by just clicking on the LOD you need to have the actual skin files "loose" in the same folder as the lod itself, not in a skins folder. Otherwise you have to go through the lod viewer but first you can either add the skin folder manually to the aircrafts main .ini or run the game to add it automatically.
-
2 pointsI had the same issue with my Super Hornets. Try the ini itself, not the LOD. I think that's what I did to see the textures myself.

1 pointi knew that. my confusion was if you were or were not firing the game up, even if for a few seconds, between major skin changes (non imagery based) you could type it in the aircraft.ini, but the game will do it as well and that way you only have one thing to focus on not getting typos

1 pointi found more on the EAPUP , the contract to Northrop-Grumman for the upgrade was awarded in 2012 , the 44 million contract i mention above is the 3rd additional order placed this is the original text from Airforce Technology " the US Air Force (USAF) has awarded the third production order to Northrop Grumman for the Electronic Attack Pod Upgrade Program (EAPUP). The $44m order is part of an existing contract and will significantly increase the number of EAPUP systems for the USAF. In April 2012, Northrop Grumman secured a $52.8m, 27-month engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) contract to upgrade the USAF’s electronic attack (EA) pods. The programme included EMD, a low-rate initial production phase (LRIP) and five production options. Northrop Grumman’s upgraded, digital AN/ALQ-131 pod is designed to operate in support of A-10, C-130, F-15 and F-16 aircraft and aircrews. The EAPUP solution will replace the service’s current EA pods. " so this pods may be in service already for some time , sadly i cant find any pictures of them , if you find one please send it to me

SF2 TMF Mirage IIIC (AdA) Upgrade/Remod Pack 2/21/2024 -For SF2, Any and All- This is a full upgrade/remod pack for The Mirage Factory's Dassault Mirage 3C series as used by the French Air Force. Included in this package are 2 complete versions of the Mirage IIIC: Mirage IIIC ("standard" usage) 1) NMF - EC 1/2 Cigones 2) AdA Blue - EC 2/10 Seine (<1975) Mirage IIICi/SEPR (rocket boosted, single missile armed, no gun, interceptor) 1) NMF only - EC 2/13 Alpes They are set up and labeled to cause NO conflicts with the Mirage III's available as stock within the game or as a DLC from 3rd Wire. Everything needed is supplied, excepting those weapons used that are stock 3W items. Skins remain in their original bmp format. Each skin has 26 letter and number decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. Almost all markings are decals. The SF2 date switch is used on the standard IIIC, changing to the Air Defense Blue in 1975. For the most part, the skins are left 'attached' to the squadrons from when originally released 'way back when. When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown you'll see: Mirage IIIC (TMF) or Mirage IIIC/SEPR (TMF) So you can't mistake them for anything else but TMF Birds (tm). As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. All original readmes, when discoverable, are included. The 'Change Log' is, as always, in the Notes section below. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein For Oli and The Mirage Factory -

SENTRY '04: USAF E-3B/C's of the 552nd ACW and PACAF Since 1976 the USAF has used the E-3 Sentry to control the air battlespace it finds itself in. Starting in 1995, the E-3 fleet began to recieve the Block 30/35 upgrade. These upgrades improved its communications, navigation, and electronic support equipment over the older versions. The most visible change was the ESM pods on the cheeks, and additional fairings on the chin and rear of the aircraft. These upgrades continued until the entire fleet was completed in fall of 2001. This mod represents the E-3B/C fleet at a time of major restructuring, with the 552nd Air Control Wing having reduced to 3 squadrons and the two PACAF squadrons (961st AACS at Kadena and 962nd AACS at Elmendorf) operating 3 of each. Included This mod includes skin for the E-3B aircraft with fake pilot upgrades, skins and decals for all 5 squadrons active in 2004 as well as a 552nd ACW overall skin Installation unzip mod, add contents of "2 Mod Folder" to mod folder of your choice. allow overwrites Known Issues - The Sentry aircraft pull hard to port (left) when taking off. This only occurs when the player is hand flying the aircraft, when AI or autopilot flies this is not an issue - The cockpit is not a great match for the aircraft, however SF2 does not support any of their (E-3 or CT-49) original missions as player flyable and they were originally intended to be eye candy. Until we get a 3d modeller that wants to do a new E-3 or even 707 proper pit, this is how it will be. PZL P11C. A makeover of Zur's P11C, redone skins, for 3 Polish and 2 Romanian aircraft, updated sounds, weapons and of course the pilot. Everything is included in the file, Sounds ( including the one for the guns) Guns, Weapons, Pilot, and of course the Decals. I was going to do Latvian, Hungarian, and Soviet skins, however as the Latvians and the Hungarians only had one aircraft each, I thought this rather pointless, as for the Soviets, they only had about four or five, I assume the Germans had a couple as well, but in reality, only Poland and Romania used the type operationally. These are NOT the DAT/A-TEAM aircraft, they were originally done by ZUR for SF1, the DAT ones are a totally different model and LOD. As always...........ENJOY .................... -

Mirage F1CR F5/6 standard When it became clear that the Mirage F1 was becoming a successful production aircraft, Dassault began investigating the possibility of a dedicated reconnaissance version for its most important client, the French Air Force. However, the escalating cost of fighter aircraft meant that add-on pods for this purpose were a more economical alternative. Many French Air Force aircraft, as well as those of some export clients (such as Iraq's Mirage F1EQ), did indeed have a variety of reconnaissance pods available, which were attached to the underside of the main fuselage. However, the development of a tactical reconnaissance aircraft for the French Air Force continued, and the first Mirage F1CR flew on 20 November 1981. 1 pointCheck the entry MaxPitchForAltitude= in the [AIData] section of the aircraft's Data.INI. The stock figure from AircraftAIData.INI is (from memory) 15, which is too high for WW2 aircraft. Try reducing it to 10 -12 for a WW2 fighter, and 8-10 for a WW2 bomber, and see if that fixes the problem.
