I continue to work on the skins. If I don't burn out on the Pfalz, I may look into streamers for the struts.

Just resurrecting an old thread here, quite by accident last night I noticed that the clouds are now linked to the GroundObjectDetail= setting, I know its probably been known for ages but it appears that any setting that uses the Terrain TOD's shoves the cloud base up to 10-12,000 feet where as no TOD's at all let it back down to about 5,500 - 6000 feet........has there ever been a workaround for this ? I do know it's to do with Z buffers and things way over my head...

The tiles are not the problem in terms of feasability. The issue is with the TOD files (amount needed). Creating TOD files is a nightmare..compared to this task it's rather easy to produce a set of nice looking tiles.

all ok, then, you've figured out the upload process?

well, from what I see, you've pretty much done everything wrong. Completly. The TE needs it's own install, NOT inside the game, but somewhere else on the HD. You can probably put it into the SavedGames/ThridWire folder, or on C drive (but NOT in any of the Program Files folders) I take you haven't looked at Gepard's Tutorials in the SF/Wo* Knowledge Base? I suggest starting there https://combatace.com/forums/forum/191-modding-terrainsenviroments/ they lessons are numbered, start with #1

yeah, I screwed up, but I realized it too late. I wanted to test something yesterday and I moved the seasons files and I forgot about them in the tension/heat of the moments. Thus the game was loading Germany tiles and confused me and that is why I was desperate not knowing what is happening. Thank God you have a clear, cool mind! Yes , now after your adjustings, the map work flawlessly. God bless you Kevin, I am really happy I can play this map.

File Name: UH-1B, D & E of YAP for SF2V File Submitter: FANATIC MODDER File Submitted: 13 October 2015 File Category: UH-1 UH-1B, D & E of YAP for SF2V v0.1 by FANATIC MODDER I converted the YAP data.ini of - UH-1B Gunship - UH-1B Heavy Hog - UH-1D - UH-1E for use in the sf2. More in detail, - I modified the powerplant lines so it doesn't crash anymore. Furthermore, more realistic feel, closer to a real helicopter. Accurate power data. - Gunner animation now more realistic. The UH-1E right gunner is finally moving. - The Helo_Destroyed.LOD line is added. I am sure most you have this LOD added.. Why v0.1? LOTs of things are needed to be done if we can say that they be upgraded to proper sf2 standards. The FM still needs a lot of tuning, since empty masses are wrong, as are aerodynamic Coef etc. They can go up to 250 km/h top speed but don't be fooled, it's not because of excess power... Be in mind that these are NOT complete add-on, just corrected data.ini for sf2 use. You need to go the Yankee air pirate webpage to donwload them. The -B/D models are part of the basic pack, however if you want the -E you need to download exp pack 3 or helipack 1. The way they are they may be not perfect for playing a campaign with them, however are more than adequate as AI additions to vietnam missions/campaigns. The credit go to - YAP for the complete model - Yakarov79 for his help to make them sf2 compatible. Click here to download this file
