This is the newest version of the LODViewer. New features: -decal support -display of collision and pivot points -added transparency and wireframe display mode -user definable background color -view manipulation via keyboard -64 bit application -uses the OpenSceneGraph library and Qt 5.9.5 Install instructions: Extract the content of the zip package to a convenient location. The LODViewer depends on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 C++ libraries. If not already installed on the computer (e.g. by other applications) it has to be installed by running vcredist_x64.exe (you can find it in the redist subfolder of this package). Have fun! Hello SF2 flyers, For several late 1930s and early WW2 prop aircraft, tweaks have been applied to the data inis, ranging from lift values for wings and wing tips to the engine section, prop rpms, flight control section, gears section, flaps, also empty weight, inertia values, ceilings, engine sounds, rudder reversal effect fix, aileron/elevator/rudder sensitivity and movement, etc., depending on the type tweaked. Tweaks are not as extensive as for my FE2 work - but I've tried to get them into the "90% realistic enough" category for SF2 since these higher performing types are difficult to precision peg to within a km or two of historical stats., in contrast to the slower-moving FE2 types. Many thanks to the original FM modders for these prop types, including Baffmeister, Wrench, Cocas, MontyCZ, Charles of A-Team, Coupi, Paulopanz, and others I may not have mentioned here. The data inis are for SF2 installs only, tested at hard FM settings (no guarantees that the AI can land them nicely, although they fly them just fine). Please read the included "Read Me" file for more thorough information and also to access the links to the aircraft that have been tweaked. Happy flying, Von S DISCLAIMER: All Von S mods, for FE2, SF2, also WOFFue, are subject to the CombatAce "freeware" terms of agreement. Mods may be shared with others, included on other media devices, also modded further, providing that original documentation and/or credit is included, and providing that the mods remain free to use. Von S mods shall not be sold, resold, etc., and Von S takes no responsibility for injuries or fixations that may result from flying heavily tweaked FMs or from attempts to enjoy real flying without aid or instruction from a qualified flight instructor. -

3 pointsCool! Someone will be very happy... Although some guys here might totally stop playing the game... Thanks! Have you considered an option where you could merge two or more lod files in one scene? useful at weapon positioning, fake piloting etc...

2 pointswell, shoot, now I don't know who to credit. I guess I can find the old thread, and see who it was! btw, it works... used the ww2 pilot skin, renamed to match, did NOT hex edit the lod, only renamed. Tested in the B-25J I've attached the "TGunner" zip file. Good thing SF2 uses individual folderized pilots!! Makes having differing models with 'same names' easier and safer! TGunner.7z

1 pointThat is really clever, thanks Mue. I have just successfully followed your method and hex-edited another gunner figure, the standing up and forward-facing GerGunner2, so he now faces backwards. Great work!

1 pointI have zero clue when it come to LOD manipulation, I cant afford to buy 3DS MAX or I would just make a new pilot from scratch , as far as I can see there is no possible way ( for my meagre understanding of lods / models) to rotate the pilot "in place" so it will need a completely new , I assume , LOD doing, but with the same jpgs applied to the model. These are the 2 Pilots I would be most interested in being converted to rear facing, I can then apply them to turrets or rear gunner positions ( in theory hahahaha) I would also include the German pilot that Geezer did, but for some unknown reason he never did one with an oxy mask, which seems a little strange , but I guess he had his reasons !! 0 pointsMy father in law David Winn (USN Ret) passed away last friday. while that is difficult enough, my family had been living with him for the last several years. It was a mutual deal of assistance for him and a home for us. However, with his passing we now have to find a new home in the next 30 days or less (estate lawyer and brother in law already being ..... fun) so projects are on hold for now, and i might be even rarer than lately. but i'll poke my head in from time to time as i can
