The use of chemical weapons is a war crime. It is a violation of the Convention of Geneva.

SF2 C-54 Skymaster, Arctic Skins Pack 6/7/2019 - For SF2, Full 5 Merged (Reccomended ) This contains 2 new skins for Veltro2k's C-54 Skymaster. The aircraft itself can be found at the following url, for those that don't have it already: https://combatace.com/files/file/14309-sf2-douglas-c-54-skymaster-by-veltro2k/ These are somewhat generic skins for those USAF units that flew in the high latatudes (Arctic & Antarctic) during the late 1940s through the mid-1950s. Both aircraft carry the nose and tail Military Air Transport Command (MATS) badges, correct for the time. Both aircraft have the standard arctic red tail and wing easy ID markings. "Arctic 1" is in all Natural Metal finish. It is badged for MATS Altantic Division "Arctic 2" is in NMF with the post-1955 white anti-heat treatment on the upper cabin. It is badged for MATS Pacific Division. No specific units are represented. Both skins use a 'pool' of serial numbers and other markings. Serial numbers are generic in nature, but are for the correct model C-54. Decal randomization is TRUE for both. The SF2 Date switch is =NOT= used on either skin, as this would mess up the standard switching from NMF to NMF/White on the other skins. When in game, on the Loadout Screen, in the skin selection window, you'll see: Arctic Red (1948-54) Arctic Red (1955<) This way, you should be able to select the proper skin for the time frame to be flown in. As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein

All it takes is some 3d guy to have a look at the MAX file I have. (but I'm not very hopefull ... that file may NOT be as complete as the in-game version shown. I just don't know enough about MAX to really "see" what the model is doing. BTW, here's a MAX screen shot of the Hellcat. You can see it's a -5 without the rear window.

Well cluster bombs are still being made and used by the Russians and if North Korea pours over the border into South Korea, the US & South Korea will use them. See HERE for South Korea, and here for the nuanced United States position. Very relevant to me, Japan has destroyed its cluster munition stockpile. Japan, being home of the first two of as of 15 June 2019 two nuclear weapons uses in anger and of sarin in domestic terrorism will be among the last to use WMD.

In short, NO. As said above, how can you simulate B/C weapons when the objects don't breathe? There's still plenty of napalm and cluster bombs for you blasting pleasures...

Why would you want to ? as someone one of whose prime job in the Forces was CBRN Warfare, ie detection and decontamination, , I know how damned nasty Chemical warfare is, so i suggest forgetting that rather peculiar idea, and go back to killing and maiming by conventional means alone !!! If you really must cause mass death and destruction , there are of course Nuclear options in the Sim, however the chances are you will blow yourself to the Happy Hunting Grounds along with all the other poor buggers , wildlife, flora, and other unassuming and innocent bystanders !!!

This is the newest version of the LODViewer. New features: -decal support -display of collision and pivot points -added transparency and wireframe display mode -user definable background color -view manipulation via keyboard -64 bit application -uses the OpenSceneGraph library and Qt 5.9.5 Install instructions: Extract the content of the zip package to a convenient location. The LODViewer depends on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 C++ libraries. If not already installed on the computer (e.g. by other applications) it has to be installed by running vcredist_x64.exe (you can find it in the redist subfolder of this package). Have fun! And report bugs Mue

Hi everyone! I would like to know if it is possible to simulate in SF2 the effects of chemical weapons on unprotected ground troops? Thanks Hello! P.S. I'm sorry for my bad English.

Many thanks for posting this Russo, I haven't seen it in about 40 years, and that was in black and white, on TV. I love watching Vampires, I used to see them at airshows when I was a teenager. And that dawn take-off in the Hunters is pure art!

Since the SF2 engine is all about kinetic and explosive weapons impacts, that would require a change in the game code. That said, using chemical weapons or biological weapons is very much a war crime in the real world...

These tweaks are specifically for SF2, as is my Cold War prop package that was done about a month ago - I've also tried running a few of the WW2 types in FE2 but the results were inaccurate (the Corsair F4U-5 for example has a realistic top speed in the 760s kph in SF2, but when dumped into FE2 it jumps into the 880s kph - so I don't recommend transplanting data inis across FE2 and SF2 - better to tweak things separately for the two sims).... Apart from the Corsair and one or two other types, I haven't tried running any of the other SF2 aircraft in FE2, the Corsair showed up just fine but the FM modelling is way off when I run it in FE2....I think air density among other things is modelled to be "thinner" in FE2...possibly something TK did for more accurate WW1 biplane behavior...this would explain the difference in top speeds across the two sims....also the fact that I usually need to use higher-than-historical hp ratings in SF2 for the prop types to get fairly historical climb rates...in FE2, even when using estimates, the hp ratings end up fairly close to historical values, and sometimes require even a bit of down-tuning so that climb rates aren't too good/inaccurate. Some of the 1930s biplanes that Geezer and Baffmeister were working on were done specifically for FE2 I think, and then eventually re-tweaked for SF2 - on the other hand "backporting" stuff from SF2 into FE2 may not be as easy. Obligatory screenies below, Aircobra and Tomahawk in the pto theater - SF2 is thoroughly satisfying for my occasional WW2 interests, much better than that CFS3 stuff I tried years ago. Von S

All you have to do is look at the lives of the people who are shouting the loudest about climate change and how you have to give up luxuries to save the planet. I can't name one of them that isn't hypocritical. If you believe the planet is in danger, you don't just tell other people to change their ways. You set the example. Having huge mansions that consume tons of electricity and need tons of water for gardening, which also consumes tons of electricity, is not setting the example. Flying all over the world in your private jet or a chartered jet when you can use the internet to provide high definition live video and audio feeds is insane. Driving around in limos or large SUVs isn't exactly following the example either. Excusing all of this by claiming you are paying for "carbon credits" is the same as saying, "rich people can live anyway they want while middle and lower classes have to follow the rules."

Quite a while ago, when climate scientists first warned us about warming, I spent some time thinking about it for myself, and came to the conclusion that they were right, and how, at each point in our history we got here. We didn't mean too, but we did it because we do things in this world without being aware of the connections between everything. We always have, throughout our history. The only thing that saddens me is how different we are than my father's generation. My father, my mother, my uncles, my aunts, they all grew up during the great depression, when there was no social safety net, and then came WW2. What did they do? They all volunteered to fight, or serve. They left friends around the world. It took my father 40 years to tell me he won the Bronze Star. It took my uncle 40 years to tell me he was wounded in the Hurtgen Forest. Why? Because they didn't boast. They weren't about themselves. They always wanted something better for their children than they had experienced, and that's where we have failed them. They were, I think, the greatest generation. We are not, and never will be known as such. I have had people say it to my face, that whatever world we leave behind is something our children will just have to deal with, and they don't care. What a shift in human character that is. Miss you, Mom, Dad, because now our children need you. They don't need us.

Semi-HiRez 1024 Templates for Pasko's MD-450 Ouragan For SF1 and SF2. Based on Wrench's original MD-450 template . Redrawn Panel Lines and Rivets at 1024 pixels in layered PSD format. You must have a program that recognizes and works with PSD layers to work with this template. Two free programs, Gimp and Paint.net work with PSD layers. Opacity adjustable for both lines and rivets layers. It's and old plane and has a couple of lod inconsistencies such as the lower right aileron isn't mapped correctly but it's the only Ourgan we have. I have no references for this plane so there's not a lot of detail in the templates. Add your own paint, dirt and weathering. I've left Wrench's original skins in the template to make it easier to repaint them. Thanks to Pasko for this great little plane and to Wrench for the original template . I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use. For any other use, please contact me first. If you find any problems with it, please PM me. If you improve it please share with the community. If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error. Geary
