2 pointsHi, everyone. As some of you know, I am working on a huge revamp of the stock VietnamSEA terrain which is a complete mess to say the least. I have moved numerous airbases and cities to their correct Real World locations, and fixed much of the tiling throughout the various regions. I found real info about most airfields that TK added (even with some mistakes, there's no such thing as a Hue Airbase, for instance). However, I have been unable to find anything useful on two North Vietnam airfields, which are shrouded in mystery; Khe Phat and Ben Loi. By googling Khe Phat airfield, I only found the following: https://books.google.it/books?id=A4W2AAAAIAAJ&pg=PA4&lpg=PA4&dq=khe+phat+airfield&source=bl&ots=IuFDTnJJy5&sig=ACfU3U0Gy-xoTdk9ksldZkzm7oZzBez8_g&hl=it&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiY2cnX3sbnAhUOT8AKHb9xDIkQ6AEwDnoECAoQAQ#v=onepage&q=khe phat airfield&f=false This confirms that Khe Phat existed, being under construction in 1972. The link also mentions Ha Tinh airfield, but there's no such thing in TK's terrain. Looking for the other "mythological" airfield, Ben Loi, I have found nothing at all. Ben Loi either is invented, or is the Ha Tinh airfield mentioned above, or even is a mis-spelled Dan Loi airfield, as featured in this overview chart I found by chance: I am aware that most users do not care about details such as accurate target area coordinates or correct runway headings. However, I really want to feature those two airfields (Khe Phat and Ben/Dan Loi). The above chart is not enough for me. Most of the airfields I corrected in my revamp, I was able to find them on Google Earth; wiki gave me correct coordinates for them, so I could easily see where those bases are/were. Even if Quan Lang airfield no longer exists, I was able to find its remains through some photos of the Vietnam War period. But Khe Phat and Ben/Dan Loi are a complete mystery. I would like to have info on those two airfields, so I can pinpoint their location in the Real World, and hopefully see which heading their runways had. Any help is much appreciated!

2 pointsLooks like Khe Phat was a target during Linebacker Don't seem to have anything on Ben Loi or Dan Loi

2 pointsI found the coordinates on Ben Loi, but there's no mention of an airfield. This doesn't mean there wasn't an FOB or some other temporary facility there....but I'll keep looking for more http://www.maplandia.com/vietnam/ha-tinh/cam-xuyen/ben-loi/ https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/vietnam/airfields.htm http://dictionary.sensagent.com/List_of_airports_in_Vietnam/en-en/

2 pointsSince I don't do real world skins that often... I hope you like these ones. I saw them searching for something else and thought that I must do them. Possible that somebody created them already. F-4K Phantom FG.1, 43rd Squadron RAF, 70 Years Anniversary skin without Spinestripe... ...and with it

1 pointThis has been driving us both bat-shit crazy. It's amazing to me, after nearly (or over?) 15 years that no one has caught the innumerable mistakes on this map (don't even get me started on the "straddling the river cities") all help is deeply appriciated!! The sooner we get these oddities sorted, to sooner we can get it in your hands, and the sooner you get to fly all those neat aeroplanes I've been showing the "French Airpower in Indochina" thread!!

1 pointI have the F-111D and it's HUD. So will review the code for the above which I just downloaded. No worries, see below @yakarov79! Yup @EricJ. If you're trying to take out say a radar site that's lit you up and blocking your path to the target, you really don't wanna be guessin... or if you want to just make one pass at the target, you want a CCIP. Remember, SF2 doesn't simulate radar bombing nor a WSO.

1 pointHahahaha it's not secret, It's just that the first aircraft that I uploaded here can't be called "plane" since it is 650 meters long. I would like to learn how to make the model better! And your explanation is quite helpful, so decals positioning is in fact independent from the actual mapping, it just needs proper sizing and positioning (that seems to be easier saying than doing it hahaha). Thanks for the help!

1 pointF-111D had a HUD and CCIP bombing mode. Get it here: Or here: (Ignore the what if Israeli skin)

1 pointyou are not doing this. I am guessing that you are aware of game mechanics - model - skin - decals. Model and decals are quite different things. Yes, decals depend on model meshes. And decals need to be placed on model meshes - not on skin. In fact, you do not need UV mapping of the model to put decals. But generally, create a model. UV map it. Create skin. Create decals and put it in any position on any mesh of the model. Decals can be placed anywhere on the model. Of course, there are limits, which changes when adding specular and bump map...but this is a different story. You will find more about it in tutorials linked above. textures for every skin - I am guessing you are trying to say different skin sets for different country/squadron. Yes, it is easier to change decals for each country and squadron. You can have one skin set in the main aircraft folder. And skin folders for each squadron or country only with texture and decals ini in it. This saves space o your drive. why all this mystery fog... Here, all are usually very open about ongoing projects. just asking....no sweat...
-
1 pointJust the fact that there is a CCIP, instead of trying to bomb by guessing, which is the case with the F-111.

1 pointHere is a map of the rivers at polish territory as it is today. You need, from west to east, Oder/Odra, Warthe/Warta, Netze, Weichsel/Wisla, Narew, Bug, San, Memel/Njeman You already have, northern part of Oder and Warthe, most parts of Netze, Weichsel, Narew and Bug This is a map which shows the maximum expansion of Poland during soviet-polish war 1920/21. On polish territory you see the rivers of Warthe, Netze, Weichsel, Narew, Bug and San
