Put this even If the B-51 never passed the proto status, after all it flew, even If not in operational squadrons. What could have been... Had to be the spearhead of the NATO attack on a radar site... The B51 is a fun to fly, is pretty unforviging, specially at low alts and speeds. Crossed the border.. Target hit Getting back to base.

Brixmis Chipmunk T10 and templates This was a quick and dirty mod to provide templates for the rerelease of the de Havilland Chipmunk Trainer and a skin to represent the BRIXMIS recon mission. Requirements You will need the original aircraft available here https://combatace.com/files/file/17262-sf2-dhc-1-chipmunk-pack/ otherwise, this should work in any version of SF2 Installation unzip main folder. Place objects folder in the objects folder of your chosen install. place templates folder wherever you need to, in order to create more skins. templates are available in xcf for Gimp users and psd for Photoshop users note: the patches layers are set to create a ribbed effect on the pertinent airfoils. they are set so that you should be able to use them with any other design BRIXMIS History The British Commander in Chiefs Mission or BRIXMIS for short was a mission that used the legal ability of a certain number of British servicemembers to roam the Soviet Zone of Occupation, generally known as East Germany. Reciprocity was enjoyed by the Soviets in the former British Zone of Occupation. The airborne component of BRIXMIS flew out of RAF Gatow in Berlin. An observer rode in the front and took pictures of Soviet military activities and equipment within a 20 mile radius of Berlin, flying under cover of "exercising the right to navigate within the flight corridors to and from Berlin". Serials provided are in pairs for each period of time operated, but in one overall skin WK303, WK587 from 1956-1966 WP850, WP971 from 1966-1974 WZ862, WD289 from 1974-1988 WG466, WG486 from 1988-1990 Credits From the Original Big Al for the aircraft Bobrock for pilot figure (A-26) AvHistory for the engine sound Raven for the cockpit. Wrench for everything else. daddyairplanes: Brixmis Skin and decals, template created while making these paulopanz, Stratos: test subjects to make sure it worked elsewhere (no modders were harmed in the making of this template) Sources Google image searches "Safety of Flight Not Garunteed" https://www.16va.be/vols_brixmis_part1_eng2.html originally read about in one of Key Publishing's aviation magazines i hope you all enjoy the skin and that the template is useful to anyone wishing to add in other users. I assure you that this model is not pirated, but it will not see light so soon and the model was created a few weeks after the flight of the real prototype.

Is there a hardcoded max number of objects allowed in each tile's .TOD? I know there is a limit associated with AlphaObjectVertexCount & AlphaObjectIndexCount. I started with Stary's numbers for these, and it seems no matter what I set these numbers to, I can't get more than about 1024 objects. Some WIP shots...

Okay, this is what I have completed in the last 12 HR. I had to draw the antenna from photos. Its a lot of work to make all of these pipes, but I hope I will get it as close as I can.

Well it's very good question ;-) For sure MFG planes could carry MW-1 ... ..but probably Marine units haven't this weapon on stock. So ... MW-1 isn't in my standard loadouts for MFG, but it's possible to use one ;-)

Things got really interesting when somehow even with a F-15C Eagle escort, GR.1 Tornadoes on a CAS mission had to go multi-role. @guuruu really did good with the artwork here: THIS is what I wanted my post 1,100 to be folks! Lots of BOOM!

For some time already I have been working on KC-10 tanker. I think I have started this project in 2017. But as expected I can easily find interest in other projects, so this one was not so top priority. Recently - accidentally I have opened a folder named DC/KC-10. And I faced a dilemma to do or not to do...now. So I decided to put it on another hiatus. But hey...there might be some other option. The model is not 100% finished. I still need to model front gear (on the picture below there is front gear visible - but this is just resized copy of central gear.) and crew cockpit and some small bits. The overall model is animated and mostly UVW mapped. I think only the refueling boom needs to be mapped. What I am looking for? Someone - person or team of CA users who will do some skinning work. I can provide with lod and UVW layout. Of course, lod viewer might be helpful. From my own experience, I know that sometimes UVW mapping needs to be changed during the process of creating a skin. This is not an issue. Even if for now I have no intention to focus on this model I might still have a chance to do some changes if necessary. As you can imagine model is quite big, but not huge. Model is UVW mapped on 6 bitmap sheets. SO we can expect some quite reasonable and decent level of detail. If you know my previous work you should know what to expect (and what I expect) from the skin. Generally, this is a tedious job to paint panel lines, rivets, details, etc. But we are not gonna count rivets. But a decent level of detail is possible. We do not need to create skins for countries, air forces and all that stuff. First good base skin needs to be created. All colorful work, decals, users, etc is a song of the future. Time here is not an essence so time schedule is quite flexible. No need to hurry. But If you want new KC-10 in-game..then some work needs to be done. Somehow, someday. Maybe skin will be done while I will not have a chance to work on the model...but still, this is progress. I do not expect that crazy mob will run toward this project...as this is just a useless tanker. But maybe someone would like to gain some skills - as I point this message mostly to young users here at CA. Here is your chance to start to do some modding. Of course, you will need to have gimp, photoshop or similar graphic editor. And of course, the will to participate in this project is needed. I do not want to force someone to do that or put pressure. I can provide reference photos, tips and general support. Perhaps some other reference would need to be researched. Another thing is that I never (yet) exported this model into the game - so some data.ini work is needed also. And here is a sample of layouts. I know that you old farts CA modders are quite busy with your own projects. But as I said before I am hoping that some new users will have a will to participate. Anyway. We will see.

SF2 Cessna 206H Pack by Wingzero 2/29/2020 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended, plus Exp 1) This is a full revamp, for SF2, of the SF/Wo* Cessna 206H "Stationair" by wingzero, originally released in 2010. This mod includes 2 skins: No.7 Squadron, Uruguaian Air Force (FAU) -start date 1998 USAF - this is a "What If..." skin, painted to match the T-41s used for USAF training and liason. All, if not most, markings are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. As a new 'homegrown' templague had to be created, it's included for skinners wishing to create any other users, or other types of skins. A userlist and loadout ini have been built. Please see the "Notes" section for more details. In-game, on the Aircraft selection drop-down menu, you'll find it as: U-206H Stationair As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. One mnight also peruse the "Notes" section for things that might be interesting. The original release had NO readme, but I used the text from the SF1 announcement thread. It's included within the main aircraft's folder. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein

C-5 has terrible mapping. And the whole aicraft is mapped on one bmp sheet. Which is crap. Even TW mapped small/big aircraft on a few sheets and this gives you more possibilities vide skins for TW soviet bombers...even in 512x512 they still look quite ok So creating base skins that we have 6 sheets for this model in at least 4096x4096 is crucial..Later skin can be resized down to the desired format. For comparison, C-5 is 75meters length on two 2048x2048 KC-10 is 55 meters on six sheets....uvw mapping is simply more efficient. other thing is if aircraft is mapped on three 4096x4096 bitmaps it will have better frame rate performance in game than aircraft mapped on ONE 4096x4096.

Yes, that designation references a "Chief Warrant Officer." Here is one source definition that should be helpful: "Warrant Officers are recognized as the most technically and tactically competent soldiers of differing certain specialties in the Army. The base rank for Warrant Officers is Warrant Officer 1 (WO1). Still recognized as technical and tactical experts at this rank, WO1's serve from the team level (7 to 25 soldiers, depending on the type of team) thru the battalion level (around 800 soldiers)." And each subsequent rank of course has more expertise and governing authority up to CW5.

Here in Israel, the government is taking it very seriously and we're now entered a lock-down situation in a way.. and suggest not to go outside if not necessary.. We were also asked not involve grandparents to babysit our kids while schools & kindergartens are closed (How the HACK am I suppose to work and babysit my little monkey if she's yelling daddy daddy half the day? luckily the wife is also working from home) Anyway, the number of infected people is on the rise (I expect it to double almost daily when tests will become frequent [we only test several hundreds a day]) and stand at about 500 - luckily no deaths Shit has hit the fan, hopefully it will go over soon and everybody keeps healthy and safe Good night :)

Good textures\mapping is a case really of utilising space on texture....ie...the shape of the module there is easy to map in segments of maybe 4 quarters......placed top n tail alongside each other...depends on how much or less joins you want...ie...if you add say rust, you can get odd joins between 2 segments of the mapped parts....like some map top p[ols of a fuselage and then the 2 sides....with gaps ..I try to match up edges on textures to "hide " the joins... I try to find real life pictures to use parts of to map...eg...wheels tyres....metal panels etc etc... Bump maps...I usually with completed templates ,hide things like decals, etc and stuff thats not actually going to have depth like panel lines or height like rivets...and set all layers of panel lines, rivets, etc set to no opacity and have a regular colour background, usually grey. then using nvidia plugin for bump maps....its a matter of trial and error in max for depth of effects.... with spec....spec uses black and white .and in between is varied depth of opacity...(greys) this is good for areas of dirt....rust...scratches....paint wear etc etc...set in 3ds max over rides game settings....if you have a spec map,its subtle if you want or quite powerful if required.... below...basic bump map for padded cabin etc...and spec maps to show variety of results.... to highlight worn areas of paint and darker areas of dirt and shit etc lol......also spec map to imitate paint wear and loss....texture and the spec map that gives the metal seen through the worn areas is shiny due to the spec map plus wing diffuse map and spec for areas of rust dirt wear etc.

They are ALL pirated. They turn up in a mod, the mod gets deleted. Simple as that We have a zero tolerance policy on pirated items Why morons continue to fuck around with this sort of thing, in clear violation of Site Policy, is beyond even my understand. They don't like it, our door swings both ways.
