This is the new test project, I will try to learn from it as I go along making this distinguished Boeing 707-320. I started yesterday setting up the blueprint in photoshop than in max, This is today's work, I worked about for 5 hours and this is what I got so far. I will try to make the KC-135 Stratotanker refueler too. Happy new year to you all. PS, what is the best method to cut the cockpit windows?

Kevin, Yeah, still a WIP. Probably always will be. The Razbam skin had the numbers on the tail, so I used that as a guide just so I could place decals if, when or as needed/wanted. I thought this model would take lines and paint better, but still not too bad for it's age. Not looking forward to the A-1E model. Probably should have tried it at a larger pixel size. Been trying to color coordinate my KAW USN 'Blues': The Skyraiders, Corsairs, Banshees and Panthers. Using Bobrock's great little Panther as a guide. Thanks for the offer but I have the Opsprey 'AD Skyraider Units of the Korean War' book. Love the color plates in the Opsprey series. Still got a way to go on this model. If only I could paint (especially weathering)! BTW, I'm using bits, such as decals, from your TW KAW Skyraiders as needed. Learning to make decals is on my bucket list. One for the Marines. And a cleaner 'modex' for the USN.

what he said. when i do the airliner tga, i google image search a decal sheet and tack it in, to get the spacing correct. windows themselves are usually down then copied (and copied again, and copied some more) and placed on a layer above the decal sheet.

windows I would paint on or copy real ones onto texture then bump map will make em look realistic

Animals, even the seemingly smallest and simplest, are far more intelligent, sentient and self-aware than we give them credit for. And/or conversely, humans (at least the average ones) are far less intelligent, sentient and self-aware than we give ourselves credit for.

Geary: none of my books show modex numbers on the tailfins, not even at the very top (post-56 when gray/white came in, yes) Good job otherwise. The mapping on those, including the A-1E is a bit on the "odd" side, isn't it!!?? LOL. I have the Osprey KAW Skyraider book, it you need it --- required screenshot

Thought I'd post a few more pics. here - using a generic, early MS G stand-in for the Bleriot - but have now flown the FM through a full, brief mission, patrolling around the Suez Canal (March 1915) - brief comments below, with pics. Von S Flight mates can keep up with you - I have given the "cover me" command prior to the pic. below, and it works well Doing a wide turn back across the canal as we pass 1300 m alt. Flight mate responds well to signal to go and land (recommended is not to give this signal below about 600-700 m alt., since the FM is for early war aircraft and pushes FE2 AI to its limits - with enough alt., the AI has enough time to prepare nicely to land the Bleriot) Almost at 2000 m alt. (took the entire patrol to get to that alt. - but is exciting to get that high in a Bleriot), as I do a wide turn from the other direction, and head to land at our field After landing, I did another couple of experiments (have read reports of Bleriots stalling and crashing after takeoff, after engine failure, and if the pilot was attempting a turn at too sharp an angle) - so I did just that, took off, flew a bit, and then turned off the engine as I was in a slightly steep turn, and climb - results in a strange stall that resembles a leaf falling And, depending on the physics that is at work during the stall, you may suffer structural compromise

Not another Sea Harrier FA2 I hear you say.........well...yes. Original Mirage Factory max file extensively rebuilt by me, too many modifications to mention, same goes for the pit. Backup any other versions you may have as unlike a lot of mods posted on here nowadays I'm not telling you to dump other folks hard work because mine is better.....you decide for yourselves (rant mode off). You WILL need Thrust Vectoring set up in your controls to fly this thing. Please read the ReadME......without it this thing would not of got released.. Mirage Factory product. Have fun.
