6 points@whiteknight06604 I am afraid this won't be coming soon, as I have to finalize much of the tiling manually, and it's a very time consuming job. Not to mention that we're still busy working on ODS, so much to improve upon. Also, I don't want to release a half assed terrain. Target area wise, it's filled with all possible bases and real SAM site locations. All river courses and lakes have been reproduced very accurately! This would be the perfect companion to the stock GermanyCE terrain. A specific version for the 90s and beyond will be made afterwards.

4 pointswas landing on acesfakia's tango several times already Acesfakia did ATC -4-5 years ago - but it was never fully finished. The idea is good. If properly made ini file you can land on any boat. His 3dmax file is in modders Repository. Nice PBR. But there is always but...(butt) Can we actually sail on rivers? I think not...Unless you will make them as non-ships ground objects placed on the river. But I might be wrong. But nice PBR indeed.

3 pointsthe problem was not so much the wiring the missiles are conneced with a quick releas connector to the launchrail , the launchrail in the beginnig was the AERO-3B and was used for the AIM-9B only all other AIM-9 including the AIM-9B used from ca.1966 onward the LAU-7A the wiring on the aircraft side was not so much a big deal some aircraft like the F-86 did get to a later point the AIM-9 capability other aircrafts like F-104G and F-4B or F-1 had from the beginning the capability some AIM-9 like the AIM-9C was only used on the F-8 others like the AIM-9D/G/H are only used by the U.S. Navy ( some are exported ) the AIM-9E/J/L/M/N/P are used mainly by the USAF and the NATO partners and Israel , but theoreticaly can a USAF jet launch the Navy AIM-9 and vice versa

2 pointsThe USMC sent technicians to Taiwan in the 1950's. While there, the Marines installed sidewinder rails and missiles on ROC F-86's, which they used against PLAAF MiGs. Sidewinders were sold extensively to our allies (you mentioned the Israelis, IIRC they didn't get sidewinders until the late 1960's. They also used captured Soviet missiles, based on the sidewinder, and home-made Shafrir's) and I believe sidewinders could be wired up to any airplane. How was that done? It's beyond me, sorry. I just know that it could be done. Perhaps someone else will have a better answer for you.

2 pointsWhen I tried to fly the Breguet, the aircraft didn't show, only the cockpit. In the data.ini change these lines from this: [Fuselage] ModelNodeName=DH4Fuselage ShowFromCockpit=TRUE to this: [Fuselage] ModelNodeName=Fuselage ShowFromCockpit=TRUE and the aircraft will show normally. Thank you for all your work to bring us these models, Von S. Sometimes, working in Thirdwire sims, as much as I love them, can remind me of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon featuring the Gremlin.

1 pointI don't know technical details but IR missile interchangeability could take place and there are examples... Hellenic and Spanish Mirage F1s could carry AIM-9 instead of Magic and Iraqi MiG-21s were modified to carry Magics.

1 point@Menrva I suggested testing "Scramble" because, correct me if I am wrong, it loads the least about of elements...and may be a way to tell if the issue is with the install or just amount of elements the game engine\PC was trying to process. I had issues with my 1080 ti rig, but after dropping to High, everything worked fine... You would not believe the amount of work that went into the terrain, air fields and objects (infantry!!!)...its amazing...but it all comes at a cost... =V=

1 pointGeezer's work was indeed stellar - top-notch stuff. I was particularly hoping to see the MS Type I and the Bleriot completed, but no word from him on the forums since last year I think. Hope he's doing well. I remember that he was interested in switching over to the Unreal engine for static battle displays and things. Maybe he'll catch the FE2 bug again and visit us sometime. No matter what WW1 sim I fly - FE2 is always my go-to sim for quick combat and good single missions with variety. (There is a Breguet XIV that Geezer was also working on - but it's largely in "alpha" or early beta stage, with several things that were never completed on it. The Junkers J.1 on the other hand, as a model, is pretty much complete - as is the FM on it that I did a couple of yrs. ago - but it lacks a skin. I think that Crawford was working on a skin - but we decided that the Junkers is not really a priority aircraft at this point in time for FE2, so I haven't checked into its status. The N28/28a in the consolidated package is pretty much complete - although there are some oddities with the prop. disc. at various speeds - possibly something that needs tweaking with that model further, since we weren't able to do anything in the data ini to fix the oddity.) In terms of my FM update packs, most of the important aircraft have been tweaked - I will however look at the Snipe and Stephen's Halb. CL.II, and ver. 3 of the Sikorsky S-16 in the future, and I think there was a Pomilio also by Stephen that I never looked over, as well as implementation of Crawford's camera tweaks on the Elephants - maybe for a ver. 10.0 of the FM pack. Then I'll individually touch on FMs after that should any new aircraft be released for FE2. Maybe Stephen has some surprises in his FE2 factory. Happy flying all, Von S EDIT: for those following this thread, Geezer's "nearly complete" FE2 aircraft have all been zipped up as a big, consolidated folder (with all latest updates included), and now located towards the bottom of page 25 of this thread - the old links spread across pages 17, 18, 23 of this thread have been deleted since it was a hassle to find everything and keep up to date with the installs. Hopefully the all-in-one package will rekindle interest in FE2.
