Another update. I had to change the blueprint as the first one didn't have a good scale.

If it sank tomorrow, this^^ would be the Kuze's epitaph. They asked it recently when a crane fell on the ship whilst at dock, puncturing the flight deck and several decks below and causing a small fire. They asked it when the arrestor system failed repeatedly during it's tour of Syria when they lost a freshly upgraded Su-33 and a spanking new Mig-29K over the side. During that same tour, there was apparently a fire in one of the turbines and it was limited to something like 10kts, and even before the refit for Syria, there were previously existing issues with hull fatigue, reliability of the turbines and with it's electronics. And yet, she lives. Kinda makes me wonder if you even can kill it. Probably wouldn't hurt to sprinkle some garlic, silver and holy water into the warheads of anything you potentially throw at it, you know, to be sure...

Amariani, as far as I know, no P-39s were ever used on CBI. I´ll be very surprised if it was.

@Uhu I have made a nations expansion for SF2. It fixes those issues, adds more medals to many services and fixes even stock SF2 bugs. Here's the link: https://combatace.com/files/file/16986-nations-medals-expansion/ However, be aware that this expansion is meant for generic mod folders. It does not contain specific ODS medals, so you will not be able to obtain those by using this mod. But you gain a lot more in other fixes and additions, so to speak. I suggest that you make a backup of the relevant folders and/or files. The fact that you use the latest SF2 patch is perfect, as my mod is built upon the latest nations.ini of SF2.

Got on my Patreon page the B-1B Podcast Episode of Fighter Pilot Podcast playing... Why? Because I felt... BAD TO THE BONE: I dropped way too low. Doesn't help when I lack a decent bomb sight.

it would be beyond nightmarish to match the extra 100+ tiles to Stary's GH. I never liked the way "R" series, as well as most of the G and J tiles were handled. From friends and relatives that were actually there, it didn't quite match their eyewitness experience (so to speak). I've always said it virtually impossible to match the Real World with the tile system we've been given. We can get close(r), maybe 80-85%(?), but can't match it due to the inherent scaling issues in the Engine (tm). I'm not planning on doing the (required) fixing all across the terrain -- it is simply too small (63%) and has far too many flaws to really be worth it. So, I'm keeping it (a bit) closer to the original HFD, but as usual, try to fix smaller fuck ups. Although, it does appear I'll have to do the mangrove swamps.... watched the newest "Grand Tour" on Amazon last night, and Clarkson, Hammond and May were running the Mekong on various boats! (well worth it if you like the old Top Gear!!)

Not quite the last survivor. There are 3 more, one of them locally here whom I spoke about at our annual Dec 7th Ceremony where I was the keynote speaker. Bruner is the last to be interred in the Arizona. The remaining 3 will be laid to rest when their time comes with their families in their homes. Fair Winds and Following Seas

like I said, it's seriously messed up!!! Most places aren't with 25-50 km of they "Real Life" positions. I"m not going to change too mcuh, just in case someone (years) down the road wants to re-add all the 1960s stuff back into it. Another thing I'm not going to do is make the swamp/cypress grove type of tiles, like I did for CubaOTC+ -- not that hard, but I don't feel like making another couple dozen tiles (tgas) Sometimes I think I'd have been better off using the CBI map, and just clear out the stuff that isn't in Indochina!!!

IMO the time and effort to import , convert, fix, adjust pivot points, animate, export ,,,,, you might as well start from scratch

During the 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion VA-34 A-4B Skyhaks from the USS Essex flew a CAP/ escort mission with the intention of protecting the Rebal A-26 Invaders but due to a timing cock up were an hour late and missed engaging the Cuban T-33A fighters. They also flew multiple reconnaissance flights over the invasion beach throughout the incident. Due to President Kennedy insisting that there be no proof of US involvement the Skyhawks had their USN markings painted over. There are no photos of these aircraft and very few of VA-34 during that time period so I have based these skins off the only photo I can find specifically of VA-34 during the Bay of Pigs Invasion as well as one from later that year. These photos are of aircraft that did not have their markings painted over however. There is an alternative skin based on a drawing Statos posted which I think makes a way cooler looking Aircraft but is unlikely to be historically accurate. Credit goes to TW, Stratos and Nyghtfall. If you do create a Bay of Pigs USN A-4B v FAR T-33A remember the A-4B could not carry the AIM-9 at this point and Skyhawks operating over Cuba just had two wing drop tanks plus thier 20mm cannons. Change the Aircraft role from 'attack' to 'fighter' in the A-4B_data.ini file if you want better AI performance from your wingmen.
