I was so sick of looking at the old Model of the Hercules SAM missile, that I decided to finally build one by myself. Learning the use of 3ds Max just for this purpose It's not a super-ultra detailed model with 10 thousands of polys, like you see sometimes these days , but it was never ment to be so. This package includes the minimum bundle to make the Nike Hercules system fully functional: new MIM-14 Hercules missile - 3D model, texture & .ini-work DaniloE31 (that's me) Nike 4x launcher - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 Nike LoPAR search radar - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 Nike TTR tracking radar - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 The ini's in this bundle are set to a network called "NIKE" and work together so they actually fire missiles at the Red Planes! You can install the pack in your ModFolder™\Objects\ , but in case you don't want to mess up your existing Nike Objects, you can also just take the following files: Weapons\MIM-14\Hercules.LOD Weapons\MIM-14\ Hercules_LOD002.LOD Weapons\MIM-14\Hercules.bmp and use the new missile. I used the very same Files & Node Names so you can eventually place the new LODs without the need of editing a single ini. I hope you enjoy it! DaniloE31 -

1 pointI'm working on an update to correct some small mistakes. Changes will be: some settings in flightmodel will be changed to make the plane landing properly. position of exhaust emitter will be corrected. add armed_recon to possible missions (you can drop now grenades on trucks ;-) ) new skin for west german use and correct tactical numbers for east and westgerman Air Force. (I got all these files from Paulopanz) Give me some days for final checks. Release till weekend, i hope so.

1 pointTell it brother!! I can't even count the time that frelling TE crashed on me with doing a "flood" fill of tiles or building TODs. Let's not forget the object limit for alphas and solids.
-
1 pointActually, I disagree. The terrain as a LOD is just plain horrible under many aspects, poor optimization and framerate unfriendly. The only good thing about the LOD terrain is the water shaders, but TK could make something similar for the TOD terrains. Also, another disadvantage of LOD terrains, you would have to manually add hundreds of thousands of 3d models of city buildings and trees. Not only it is incredibly time consuming, it also worsens the framerate by a lot. The game would have to deal with too many 3d models on screen and with huge LOD chunks of the terrain's land and water. If only we had a TOD editor with a user-friendly interface not prone to crash countless times, we would improve the TOD terrains to new levels.

1 pointphotorealistic uk map ?....what a stupid statement....if your not happy with whats here...suggest you make 1 ? game was lacking some types of planes...so I learnt how to make them...rather than rant
-
1 pointWrench´s terrains could not be better because the Game´s engine limitation. He reach the highest peek.
-
1 pointI, personally, find THAT statement highly insulting. I don't have to tell any long term members what I've gone through to bring out the best and most accurate product within the (serious) limitation of the game engine. Terrains for EVERY era .... BUT... I think we're seeing not only translation difficulties, but a general lack of understanding of the game itself, how it works under the hood, and how long it actually takes to bring out 95%+ accurate terrain map - or any other product. You all know that it took me 2 years for the KAW map so... So... for the first time in my 16 years involved with the SF series, I'm will to give the benefit of the doubt. (those that know me know that don't happen often, or at all)

SF2 Desert Sea Tiles Replacement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a new sea tileset to replace the sea of the stock desert terrain. 1 pointWhen doing sum research about the proposed Kahu II upgade for the RNZAF A-4K fleet I found some good info on the New Zealand F-16 deal that nearly was in the late 1990s/early 2000s. I decided to make as accurate 'what if' version I could. Ive used the Mirage factory F-16A/B Block 15 OCU model which is the version we would have received as they were built for Pakistan but embargoed and put in storage. I added a A-4K style UHF antenna just behind the refueling receptical. I've left the weapons the same as used by the upgraded A-4K fleet except for the addition of the Litening targeting pod and Harpoon ASM which were going to be procured along side the aircraft. Since the RNZAFs primary role is close air support it was unlikely any extra money was going to be spent on any radar guided missile such as the AIM-120 as their air-to-air role was seen as one of primarily self defence. The terms of the deal included a Mid Life Upgrade at the end of the 10 year lease period when we would have purchased the aircraft. As part of the MLU I have included the integration of the AIM-9X as it stands to reason that the RNZAFs AIM-9L models would have been considered to be going out of date by 2009. Also on the MLU aircraft are ALQ-131 ECM pods which there were provisions for in the original terms of the lease but most likely would have been pushed out to the time of the MLU because of the extra costs. F-16A Block 15 OCU in the Pakistani camouflage scheme the aircraft were already painted in: All over grey paint job that is used on all current RNZAF aircraft since around 2003: F-16B Block 15 OCU: High- viz No. 75 Squadron Commanding Officers mount: F-16AM Block 15 OCU (After the Mid Life Upgrade 2009/10ish) Small 'M" on the top of the tail fin and 'F-16 Viper' logo on the intake are to differentiate the MLU aircraft from the un-upgraded aircraft during the upgrading phase. Pilot also now has Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) to go with the AIM-9X: Retro A-4K Skyhawk all over green paint job: High- viz No. 75 Squadron Commanding Officers mount: Pylon Intergrated Dispensing System (PIDS) included as part of the MLU: F-16BM Block 15 OCU- This is the first of the MLU aircraft and is in a special paint scheme: F-16BM Block 15 OCU line bird: F-16BM Block 15 OCU in special All Blacks supporters scheme for the 2011 Rugby World Cup- which we won might I add Spinners if your reading this lol F-16BM Block 15 OCU in A-4K style SEA retro scheme: F-16A/B Block 15 OCU cockpit: And F-16AM/BM Block 15 OCU cockpit after the Mid Life Upgrade:

The Convair B-58 Hustler was the first operational jet bomber capable of Mach 2 flight.[2] The aircraft was designed by Convair and developed for the United States Air Force (USAF) for service in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) during the 1960s.[3] It used a delta wing, which was also employed by Convair fighters such as the F-102, with four General Electric J79 engines in underwing pods. It carried five nuclear weapons; four on pylons under the wings, and one nuclear weapon and fuel in a combination bomb/fuel pod under the fuselage, rather than in an internal bomb bay. unpack and move folders to their respective places Model: Veltro2k Sounds, Snum tgas in unit folders....................................
