2 pointsCouldn't find a link in English, but basically, they all got replaced by A-400Ms. I've seen them both fly past quite lately since i got stationed near Zaragoza AB, but to be honest, it makes you feel old knowing the aircraft you used to jump from are museum-worthy stuff now.

2 points@Swambast - A bit more contemplation on my part of the various iterations of Bleriot XI - I like the wing shape on that freeware model, as indicated previously. Works great for an engined-up Anzani Bleriot. I therefore also recommend at this point that we follow the simple "v"-truss cabane arrangement up front, as on Carlson's Bleriot (pic here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blériot_XI#/media/File:Bleriot_XI_Thulin_A_1910_a.jpg). Have been contemplating the top and bottom side views again from this series of pics. I posted earlier (extract of pic below): notice how the pyramidal-truss arrangement, on the top side-view, is complemented with wings that have small cutouts next to the fuselage (for better downward views for the pilot) - that wing is about circa 1913 or so, not earlier. The Turkish Bleriot, and the one below it with the simple "v"-cabane truss, have no wing cutouts. For a good example of the wing cutouts, see the pic. of the Swiss Bleriot on the Wikipedia page. We can decide these little details once we get to the wing area of the Bleriot - to see if we go for the pyramidal-truss arrangement plus small wing cutouts, or pre-1912/3 wing with no cutouts and inverted "v"-truss, as on the Carlson Bleriot. I haven't been able to find any sources listing Anzani-powered Bleriots with the model of wing that sports wing cutouts - so at this point in time I'm leaning in favor of leaving the wings as they are, also going with the simple, inverted "v"-strut cabane arrangement - and the other good thing about such an approach is that the stock tailskid in that freeware model may then be used (since that is basically the same tailskid arrangement on Carlson's Bleriot - although I recommend reducing the stock tailskid to about 70-80% of its stock size - seems a bit too big in its current form). If you have already deleted that stock tailskid, no problem at all - we can then go with the simpler one I've attempted illustrating in one of my diagrams, and also as seen on the top side-view indicated below. We'll leave such concerns for later - but I wanted to present them generally for the interest/leisured reading of those following this thread. Von S

2 pointsThanks once again Stephen for these wonderful Tripe variants. A quick note that "Revision 2" of my FM upgrade package for the Tripehounds is now available under this post (https://combatace.com/forums/topic/87403-tweaked-flight-models-and-realism-pack-for-fe2/?page=8&tab=comments#comment-775735). Lots more info. there in terms of what is included in the revised package (three Tripehound FMs, improved Alby data inis, etc.). Happy flying all, Von S

2 pointsLadies and Gentlemen, on behalf of the entire BMS development team, I am happy to announce that the latest iteration of the BillionSoft Falcon 4.0 total conversion modification - Benchmark Sims 4.35 - is available for you to enjoy as of RIGHT NOW! BMS 4.35 requires a legit installation of a Falcon 4.0 (all older and newer versions are accepted alike, i.e. Microprose, Hasbro, GOG, Steam, Retroism). The check is performed both at setup time and every time you start BMS. If no valid installation is found, BMS will exit with a corresponding error message. For those of you who are new to Falcon and still need a legacy Falcon 4.0 license, you're lucky, as there are various season sales going on right now (i.e. at the time of writing this post): Retroism GOG Note that this is NOT an exhaustive list of where to buy Falcon 4.0, it's just a list of retailers known to me (best effort) that offer sales/discounts right now, for your convenience. The list will not be updated. This mod may not be used for any commercial purposes. Any such use may constitute a violation of the intellectual property of Billion Soft (Hong Kong) and the non-commercial Terms and Conditions under which Benchmark Sims make this mod available to you. BMS 4.35 comes with a plethora of changes. As with each major BMS release, a full changelog would fill whole books. Instead, we've summarized the most important changes for you here: NOTES: ====== - 4.35 is *not* an update to the former 4.34, but a new independent base installation - 4.35 can co-exist with 4.34 on the same machine — The build number string in the Falcon UI will read "4.35.0 (x64) Build 22548" for the base installation BMS 4.35 Changelog Summary: =========================== - DirectX 11 Upgrade - Tactical Reference UI and Data Update - Weather Control Improvement - Zulu Time Integration - Enhanced Flight Planning - Updated 2D War - Enhanced Fog Of War and Unit Detection (RECON/JSTAR) - Improved Gameplay for KTO TvT Theater - Revision of (AI) pilot names - New Arresting System for emergency landings - HTS and HARM improvements - New multipage customizable kneeboards - Full canopy control implementation - Jet Fuel Starter 1+2 support - Taxi-/Landing light update - New Pilot Seat Adjustment - New Anti-Ice Implementation - Updated MFD fonts - Enhanced Brakes + Hydraulic Systems - Accurate Gear Implementation - Better Aircraft Spawning and Despawning - Improved Taxi, Lineup, Takeoff and Landing behavior (AI) - ATC Overhaul (AI) - Tanker AAR Update (AI) - Carrier Enhancements (AI) - RWR Realism Update - New Pilot Death Situation - SAM and AAA Operator Enhancement (AI) - SAM Multi Targeting (AI) - Enhanced Ship Self Defense Capability (AI) - Anti Missile Intercept (AI) - Better Aircraft Weapon Selection + Deployment (AI) - Improved BVR Tactics (AI) - More realistic pilot view and threat detection (AI) - New Wind Turbine Facilities - New Airbases - New Features - New Aircraft - New Aircraft Skins - New Ground Units - New Naval Vessels - Optimized LOD transition - Improved Aircraft Destruction Model - Moon Phases + Ephemeris - Higher Atmosphere Upgrade - Enhanced Smoke Duration for Destroyed Vehicles - Updated switches on the F-18 cockpits - Mirage 2000 cockpits improvements - A-10 cockpit fixes - New Sounds (internal + external) - New HOTAS Callbacks - RTTClient/RTTServer Update - Hitbox Optimization - Updated Flight Models (non F-16) - Updated Key Files - New Training Missions - Documentation Update - Enhanced Multiplayer Stability - Hundreds of bug fixes, 3D and data improvements https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?40646-Falcon-BMS-4-35-Full-Installer&p=557049#post557049

1 pointProbably C++, you can try de-compiling the executable or one of its DLLs to see more about the code behind the game Good luck learning, I've been a programmer for the past 15+ years + 4 years of high school & junior college.. you can learn new things all the time 😉

1 pointUK is starting to look like "28 Days Later" - pretty much everyone already has or soon will sever air links, Euro-Tunnel is closed and France has closed its channel ports to UK traffic. As with most things C-19 related its looking like too little too late, the new strain has been known since September and has already been detected in Italy. Only a single known case there last I heard but its the unknowns we need to worry about, who knows how many more are out there or where. If it's made it as far as Italy it stands to reason it could easily be present everywhere in between and beyond. From what is known so far the new strain isn't any more dangerous on an individual case basis but is far more transmissible.

1 point100% agree. It seems all levels of govt dropped the ball. From the top down. I'm actually starting to wonder if/when nation-wide martial law will be declared. shut down ALL unecessary inter-state and international travel (ie: airlines). Breaking up of illegal gatherings (lots of those with masses of unmasked and un-distanced morons going on here in SoCal --re: Kurt Cameron), placing said participants in a holding facility (of some kind -- an empty warehouse?-- lock them in and wait. It really saddens me, and I should have know better; 2.5 million years of primate evolution has led to ... us. Not enough sense to come in out the plague.

1 pointNot Bob's Big Boy! I love their Big Boy and shake combination have since a kid old enough to eat one but their are very few of them left and certainly none of them close by. I don't understand the political gain and position of the President. It seems, as was proven, his position was/is a lose/lose. It's just baffling and it's not like we didn't have an example of what happens when our hospitals reach capacity we flipping watch Italy go through it first hand in the first wave. These idiots in DC are guilty of failing to protect our nation, their number one job. E

1 pointYes they had to invent a new Tier 4 a few days ago for London and the surrounding area which is where I am..........I wasn't going to see anybody at Xmas anyway (which seemed the obvious thing to do) but Xmas is now officially cancelled outside of VC apps like Skype and Zoom for all in Tier 4.

1 pointWhat if the UK selected the Convair 201 for the Royal Navy instead of the Phantom....smaller,lighter and cheaper but almost as capable the design was licence built by BAC as the Mako and used an Olympus engine.....

1 pointOK, thank you all with special thanks to VonS for the info and diagrams, extremely helpful. I'm going to take each section at a time and once perfected move onto the next section. Let us start with the tail only for now. Please see revision. Is this better? What adjustments need to be made?

1 pointView File Mirage F1B The French Air Force ordered 20 Mirage F1Bs, a two-seat operational conversion trainer; these were delivered between October 1980 and March 1983. The extra seat and controls added only 30 cm (12 in) to the length of the fuselage, but at the cost of less internal fuel capacity and the loss of the internal cannon. The empty weight increased by 200 kg (440 lb), partly due to the addition of two Martin-Baker Mk 10 zero-zero ejection seats, in place of the Mk 4 used in the F1C, which had a forward speed limitation. See the readme file for more informations. Enjoy The Mirage F-1 Team. Submitter ludo.m54 Submitted 12/14/2020 Category Mirage F1
