3 pointsThe current planning map for version 1.2. You see the new place for Montevideo, that Tandil is moved to the west (Its still not yet the real life position), a new airfield for the Argentinians, the grey spots in Argentina which mark smaler towns and a little bit difficult to see the riverdelta north of Buenos Aires. What i will do till release of v.1.2: -creating the urugayan airbase between Punta del Este and Punta Negra, sorry i have forgotten the same at the moment. -adding some more towns in Argentina

2 pointsThis will be the last step of terrain development, because it required a lot of new tiles. This are the sea tile, the coastline tiles for farmland and cities and transition tiles for brown to blue water. And this for two tilesets. I think 40 to 50 new tiles or so.
-
2 pointsI remember it too, but I don't have it either. EDIT: Found it I think, but it should be the right one

2 pointsparatroopers are generally listed as "bombs" so why not create a bomb station on the affected aircraft, then make them SpecificStationCode=Paratrooper, and have the same line on the troopers? then you wont get them popping up where they shouldnt. mind you, i have not dug deep enough into YAPRW to see the issue or check the solution. this is just off the top of my head reading here

2 pointsAs requested by our argentinian friends i moved the Tandil Airbase to the west. For game balance reasons i created a temporary airfield at the place of the former Tandil Airbase. So the new airfield looks in game:

What if: Aircraft Carrier "Varyag" ex Kremlin Class ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History Since the 50th the Soviet Navy tried to get aircraft carriers. But the political leadership denied all attempts to build such vessels. So the Admirality tried to get carriers through the back door. They declared such ships would be neccessary to hunt down american submarines. So the big ASW ships Moskva and Leningrad were built. But the design was terrible. Thatswhy the project 1143 was developed, better known as Kiev class. The Kiev class was to small to operate conventional fix wing jets. So the ships were equipped with VTOL planes, the Yak-38. But this plane was no match for american or westeuropean carrierbased planes. Thatswhy the flightdeck of projece 1143.4 was made longer. The ship was named Baku. It was built for the supersonic Yak-41. A plan-B was to use the MiG-29K as air group of the Baku. The next step was to make the project 1143 ships bigger and longer. 1143.5 was launched in 1982. First named as Riga, then Breshnev, then Tblissi and in 1990 renamed into Kuznetsov. When the USSR broke into parts the Kuznetsov was transfered to the russian North Fleet. The sister ship 1143.6, Riga was renamed in 1990 into Varyag (Varangian). It was not operational when it was was given to the Ukraine. The Ukraine had not had enough money to finish the ship. Thatswhy it was sold to China. China finished the ship, modified it and named it Liaonang. In this mod the fiction is, that the Ukraine finished the carrier and used it under the name "Varyag" (Varangian) as flagship of their Navy. The difference between Varyag and Kuznetov mod is that the ukrainian ship has no ship to ship missiles. Remark to the name : Google translator gave me the translation "Варязький". Wikipedia say "Варяг" is correct. I'm not sure about it. Thatswhy i include both version. As standard i use "Варяг". Name files for "Варязький" you find in a subfolder under decals/Varyag/Varyaskij. If you want to use this name version, copy the files from Varyaskij folder to Varyag folder and let overwrite the existing one. I'm not sure wheter "Варязький" is written correctly. Perhaps it must be "Варязькиi". If someone know, send me a PM. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. CREDITS: This is a mod of the ship "Admiral Flota Sovetskogo Soyuza Kuznetsov", made by rokieborhgunder, which you find here: https://combatace.com/files/file/17091-admiral-flota-sovetskogo-soyuza-kuznetsov/ ---------------------------------------------------------- III. INSTALLATION: -Unzip the folders into your SF2 mod folder ---------------------------------------------------------- IV. For remarks, comments, bugs, etc please use the forum or send me a PM. ------------------------------------------------------------- V. The Kuznetsov and all other files are FREEWARE. COMMERCIAL USE IS NOT ALLOWED! ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ Hope you enjoy it. 1 pointI was deployed to Kuwait from December 2000 to April 2001 (or thereabouts, it's been a minute), so I was in-country for the ten-year celebration. I was a fifth wheel so I didn't participate in the dog and pony show though.

1 pointDid you run the new executable you created before creating or editing an ini file for it? You must run the new copy of the game first and adjust the settings to your liking. The executable will make the ini file when it runs.

1 pointI would like to make my personal adjustments and additions to these terrains available. I hope a comment here is sufficient. Currently available: - NL08_Scrub (Region: Scrub) - NL10_IslandJungle (Region: Tropical) I hope to give NL07 Steppe a similar treatment, then probably NL09 Glacial... See the Strike Fighters section on my website for the packages: http://www.gb-homepage.nl

1 pointNot my first game, but it was the first game I ever saw on PC. In the late 70s, my friend down the street's dad was a professor at the university and had a TRS80 at his house. Phone cradle modem, reel to reel and cassette tape. Paul (friend) was so excited to show off Star Trek to us! Not exactly the most blood-boiling game, and certainly not to an 8-year-old. My first game was Microsoft Flight Simulator in 1984 on an Apple IIe. No joystick, and 16 fps [if that] on a green monochrome monitor. Once I moved to IBM, the jig was up for Apple! Then it was Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer, Lucas Arts Battle of Britain, SWOTL and MicroProse titles...anything I could get. I still have the 5.25" and 3.5" disks for many of the games. They would likely crumble to dust if I tried to insert them though. Fond memories of being a loner without a guitar.

1 pointI must rework the river mouth, because it does not really fit to the other coastal tiles. So it looks now:

1 pointNo such issues, I misspoke. I wanted to say that the F-86 cockpit doesn't have the double set of gauges for both engines, like the Javelin, the Meteor or the G-91Y cockpits. And it doesn't have a range counter. It's a quick fix, as the RPM gauge has a double set of needles, one small one large, so each engine has its own needle. And it doesn't make a difference in game. And I doubled the values on the fuel flow texture, 0 to 24 instead of 0 to 12. As for the range counter, I converted the side slip needle to a 0 - 60 NM indicator. The original F-86 fuel flow indicator setting should be : [FuelFlowIndicator] Type=FUEL_FLOW_INDICATOR NodeName=needle_fuelflow MovementType=ROTATION_Z Set[01].Position=0.0 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=80.0 Set[02].Value=0.278 Set[03].Position=159.0 Set[03].Value=0.556 Set[04].Position=242.0 Set[04].Value=0.8333 Set[05].Position=330.0 Set[05].Value=3.333 ValueUnit=LB

1 pointThanks ! Now it has the right gunsight. I use the tga from the old Canberra pit, and just enhanced the colour. The double engine gauges are missing, as well as a DME counter, but the size of the dashboard is ok for the model.
-
1 pointOn my side I made a repaint of Zurawski's F-86F cockpit. The main difference is I used the OpenCockpit entry, with its pros and cons.
