    First i made riverforks by using rivermouth tiles, but the result was not satisfying. There were blue spots in brown rivers. Not so good. Thatwhy i made a new tile for riverforks. So it looks in game:

    The current planning map for version 1.2. You see the new place for Montevideo, that Tandil is moved to the west (Its still not yet the real life position), a new airfield for the Argentinians, the grey spots in Argentina which mark smaler towns and a little bit difficult to see the riverdelta north of Buenos Aires. What i will do till release of v.1.2: -creating the urugayan airbase between Punta del Este and Punta Negra, sorry i have forgotten the same at the moment. -adding some more towns in Argentina

    This will be the last step of terrain development, because it required a lot of new tiles. This are the sea tile, the coastline tiles for farmland and cities and transition tiles for brown to blue water. And this for two tilesets. I think 40 to 50 new tiles or so.

    paratroopers are generally listed as "bombs" so why not create a bomb station on the affected aircraft, then make them SpecificStationCode=Paratrooper, and have the same line on the troopers? then you wont get them popping up where they shouldnt. mind you, i have not dug deep enough into YAPRW to see the issue or check the solution. this is just off the top of my head reading here

    As requested by our argentinian friends i moved the Tandil Airbase to the west. For game balance reasons i created a temporary airfield at the place of the former Tandil Airbase. So the new airfield looks in game:

    What if: Aircraft Carrier "Varyag" ex Kremlin Class ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History Since the 50th the Soviet Navy tried to get aircraft carriers. But the political leadership denied all attempts to build such vessels. So the Admirality tried to get carriers through the back door. They declared such ships would be neccessary to hunt down american submarines. So the big ASW ships Moskva and Leningrad were built. But the design was terrible. Thatswhy the project 1143 was developed, better known as Kiev class. The Kiev class was to small to operate conventional fix wing jets. So the ships were equipped with VTOL planes, the Yak-38. But this plane was no match for american or westeuropean carrierbased planes. Thatswhy the flightdeck of projece 1143.4 was made longer. The ship was named Baku. It was built for the supersonic Yak-41. A plan-B was to use the MiG-29K as air group of the Baku. The next step was to make the project 1143 ships bigger and longer. 1143.5 was launched in 1982. First named as Riga, then Breshnev, then Tblissi and in 1990 renamed into Kuznetsov. When the USSR broke into parts the Kuznetsov was transfered to the russian North Fleet. The sister ship 1143.6, Riga was renamed in 1990 into Varyag (Varangian). It was not operational when it was was given to the Ukraine. The Ukraine had not had enough money to finish the ship. Thatswhy it was sold to China. China finished the ship, modified it and named it Liaonang. In this mod the fiction is, that the Ukraine finished the carrier and used it under the name "Varyag" (Varangian) as flagship of their Navy. The difference between Varyag and Kuznetov mod is that the ukrainian ship has no ship to ship missiles. Remark to the name : Google translator gave me the translation "Варязький". Wikipedia say "Варяг" is correct. I'm not sure about it. Thatswhy i include both version. As standard i use "Варяг". Name files for "Варязький" you find in a subfolder under decals/Varyag/Varyaskij. If you want to use this name version, copy the files from Varyaskij folder to Varyag folder and let overwrite the existing one. I'm not sure wheter "Варязький" is written correctly. Perhaps it must be "Варязькиi". If someone know, send me a PM. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II.     I was deployed to Kuwait from December 2000 to April 2001 (or thereabouts, it's been a minute), so I was in-country for the ten-year celebration. I was a fifth wheel so I didn't participate in the dog and pony show though.

    I wish I could still play it, or they make an updated one, then I'd be in Hog's heaven. My first was F-15E Strike Eagle shown above. It was a bit hard to use with just keyboard and mouse, but I did it.

    I help as a tester and with some suggestions in the new YAP-RW. The issues with soldier that can be loaded in wings and etc, its because to work properly in the way to tell the storys of the missions, some objects needs to be create in form of weapons and stuffs like that, due to the TW engine limitations.

    I will make it with clean - unpainted rubber just for you. Just in case. I know that there is no point in painting it...but still, it was also observed with paint. One in Kubinka Museum has it painted. One in Polish Museum in Warsaw has it painted. Many in the Czech Republic I observed were unpainted. and AMV one painted one untouched rubber. The best thing is in many scale model kits those side skirts come made of metal... And a way to recognize the version on a blurry picture. All early T-72 Urals with 80-105-20 glacis armor has 4. Ural-1 produced between 1975-79 with 60-105-50 armor has 3 anti-ricochet bars. And 2 bars on T-72A and on export Object 172M-1-E5 and E6 - to put it simply T-72M1 (16-60-105-50 glacis armor)

    For me it was Il-2 1946, I remembered coming home from Junior high school and playing it on my dad's PC course teen me didn't care about the whole "dogfighting and realism" thing with me opting to create ungodly amounts of crashes :v

    I was not happy with the Mirage IIIEBR from the download, because it is a EBR-2 with canards. I wanted one without canards. So i took the Mirage5SDE, from TKs DLC pack 28, which looks like a Mirage IIIE, gave it the blue stock french Mirage IIIC skin (okay i modded it a little bit), made some decals magic and there it is: Mirage IIIEBR close to the look of 1982 (I know, they had not had the name FAB on the fuselage, but with it it looks much cooler.) If you meet a argentinian Mirage IIIEA in the air you have a plane and weapons of the same performance. Then decide the skill of the pilot.

    Gimp tutorial for creating Thirdwire-like maps. I have always liked the Thridwire maps but have never been able to replicate them until now. This project all began when my computer crashed and I lost my copy of Adobe Photoshop. At that point I moved to Gimp and most of my discoveries of how to create maps was through trial and error. This tutorial is possible due to two individuals who greatly contributed to this effort; namely Gerwin and Menrva. Gerwin generously modified his TFDtool to produce overlays (512, 1024 and 2048) that can be used to create Thirdwire style maps. Menrva created 3 master templates, any one of which can used in paint programs such as Paint.NET, GIMP, etc. to create the Thirdwire series maps. This package contains 2x attachments; the tutorial [Final TW MapTutorial_v1] and the master template [IraqWA_PSD Layers]. The tutorial describes the procedures for building a Thridwire-like map using the master template. This should ease your map-making. Questions please contact me here at Combat Ace.     This pack includes aicrafts used by Iranian Air Force. Mostly eye candy aircrafts, available on CA. (with one exeption) P-3F Orion - Used by Air Force to support Iranian Navy. New skin based on my template, and correct serial number decals. Im using here Florian's pit for C-160 - for me it fits wel here. Boeing KC-707 - simple mod by fakepilot adding (not operational) refueling pods on wing tips. Decals with correct serial numbers. C-130E Hercules used by Iranian Air Foce transport squadrons. Serial numbers are correct, but not necesarly proper for units. Althoug those 3 units were probably operating E Hercules in 1979. Cessna 337 - only skin, for now as there is no better model. YAP's model is ok but uvwraping is screwd. So I chose CA model by V2K - also not perfect but as temporary eye candy must fit here. Pilatus PC-6 from "other site" you need all files from A-Team site to run this mod. This mod provides only skin for IRIAF and ini files that should be used with this mod. (do backup here) Also fake pilot "proper" exhaust for Turbo PC-6 - old exhasut removed by data.ini file. T-33 skin pack with correct serial numbers. So as I said it is eye candy aircraft pack for Iran-Iraq war era. All serial numbers in this pack are historicaly correct and are based on available documents, photos.
