I remember watching this video from Battlefield 3 and it was labeled "Realistic Dog Fight". I'll let this video do most of the talking. I'm just saying this is why I ask people that have been there and done that a lot of questions. When I do something as far telling a fictional story, I want it logical, accurate, and enjoyable. Logic and accuracy taking center stage. All that aside I think this another reason why DCS reigns supreme.

To make things easier someone can do research on topic. Pictures, dimensions that kind of stuff. Then it is much easier to any modder just to focus in 3d thing rather then diggin net sources first.

Ace Combat is set on a totally fictional universe, so it does not bother me much, it can be believable to a good extent. It has got its own technology defying laws of physics, but it's not even set on our Planet Earth so to speak.

At least Battlefield got the FPS part of the game much better, with weapons that feel realistic; in most if not all Call of Duty games, if you reload before the gun is completely empty, you never get the 1 bullet that was still in the chamber. They're just fun games after all. ArmA III developers even released an expansion with aliens. I guess most game developers are running out of fresh ideas.

Israel Aircraft Industries 'Yeger' - Hunter Aggressor Flight, Israeli Air Force In the aftermath of the 1973 Yom Kippur War the Israeli Air Force examined it's aircraft losses (officially 102 aircraft but considered by many to have been higher) and in very much the same way as the USAF and USN had done they decided to embark upon an improved air combat training programme. In early 1974 four unmarked Hawker Hunter fighters in standard RAF camo arrived at Be'er Sheva Airfield where the Israeli Air Force had constructed a small temporary hangar adjacent to the Israel Aircraft Industries facility at Be'er Sheva. Whilst the UK Government consistently denied the supply of the four Hunter aircraft it would later be revealed that the aircraft were drawn from the Hunter wing at RAF Wittering and flown by civilian contractor pilots normally attached to BAC. The Hunter aircraft were quickly refurbished to emerge as the IAI 'Yeger' (Hunter) and equipped the Israeli Air Force's Hunter Aggressor Flight based at the nearby Hatzerim Airbase providing dissimilar air combat training for the Israeli Air Force. In 1976 the Hunter Aggressor Flight was boosted by the arrival of two ex-Kuwaiti Hunter FGA.57's and operated the type until 1991 when the unit disbanded.

This version of the Taube is armed with a handful of grenades instead of a rifle. many thanks to all the people who worked on the original Taube and a special thanks to Stephen1918 who was kind enough to make time to alter his model to remove the gunner. All work on this is really the efforts of others and my only contribution was to bundle it up. Any issues please direct to me and I'll do my best to fix them as soon as I can.

There were many versions of the Taube produced in the years leading up to World War I. When the war began different versions were being used in large numbers, on all fronts for recon missions. This is the Kondor Taube, which I think is representive of the "classic" Taube. It has the typical wing shape, uses wing warping for both the aileron and elevator surfaces, and has a six cylinder 100HP engine. I have added a rifle for the observer, which he will aim and fire. I have made significant changes to the wires on the front to give the gunner more room to move. Ojcar has created a fake machine gun for the pilot, which causes the AI plane to be more aggressive in pursuing enemy planes. I have installed that gun on this plane. Ojcar's "DummyMachineGun" data is included with this download, in case you don't already have it. Some flyers wore simple crash helmets in WWI, especially in the early days. I am using a pilot with a helmet in this plane. The pilot and installation instructions are included in the download, in case you don't already have it. The download includes my skinning templates, data for the guns and the German pilot with helmet. Credits Thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the Taube, and for greatly improving the gunner. Ojcar also made the data for the dummy machine gun. Thanks to Crawford for identifying a problem with the elevators. Installation Instructions For FE1 - Unzip the file. Move the folder named "Taube" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. For FE2 - Unzip the file. Move the folder named "Taube" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "Taube". Move the folder named "D" from your Aircraft/Taube folder into the Decals/Taube folder you just made. You may not need to install the dummy machine gun, it has been used on other planes and you may already have it. If you don't already have it, I have included the gun and instructions for installing in a separate folder included in this download. You may not need to install the infantry, it has been used on ground units and you may already have it. If you don't already have it, I have included the gun and instructions for installing in a separate folder included in this download. You may not need to install the pilot with helmet, it has been available for download for some time and you may already have it. If you don't already have it, I have included the pilot and instructions for installing in a separate folder included in this download.

This is a completely new version of the Galicia terrain. The new terrain includes new tiles and TODs, adjustments to the height map, many new targets and objects, winter and summer tiles. All necessary ground objects are included in the download. Galicia was the name of a territory in north-eastern Hungary and was the scene of major fighting during the First World War. It was invaded by the Russians early in the war, was recaptured by the Austro-Hungarians later, and invaded by the Russians again even later. This download includes all the ground objects necessary for the Eastern Front. A more complete ReadMe file is included in the download. I have included instructions for updating an existing install or for making a completely new install. Instructions for both FE1 and FE2 are included. New in Version 3 I have made all new farm and city tiles with new TODs. I have made many adjustments to the height map and changed the amount of tree and rough areas. Both summer and winter terrains are included. I have added a lot of detail to the battle fields, including machine gun placements, Austrian infantry units, debris in the battle fields, and more detail in the artillery batteries. I have added a lot of buildings to make the cities more crowded. I repainted the existing building skins and made some new buildings. I have added static aircraft to all the airfields and made many changes to the buildings, objects and other details to increase diversity. I have added about a dozen new airfields, field hospitals, and cavalry camps. I revised many of the ground objects and skins, and made some new ones for this terrain. All necessary ground objects are included in the download. Credits Gerwin's TFD editor was most helpful in making this terrain. I would not have been able to do it without this outstanding utility. I have included many of Geezer's maintenance figures, airfield objects, and AA machine guns in this download. Geezer also made some artillery for this project.

The de Havilland DH 112 Venom was a British postwar single-engined jet aircraft developed from the de Havilland Vampire. It served with the Royal Air Force as a single-seat fighter-bomber and two-seat night fighter. The Venom was an interim between the first generation of British jet fighters – straight-wing aircraft powered by centrifugal flow engines such as the Gloster Meteor and the Vampire and later swept wing, axial flow-engined designs such as the Hawker Hunter and de Havilland Sea Vixen. The Venom was successfully exported, and saw service with Iraq, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Venezuela.
