I do not think that modders will be interested in doing another project if they are preoccupied with own modding work. Honestly, I think you do not to be a modder to contribute to the wiki. A person or group of persons with the will to do an effort and pick all useful info scattered all over here would be enough for the start. I do not want to be harsh...and I am not pointing it to a specific person or persons...but sometimes it feels like modders are busy ....and non-modders are busy waiting for what modders are preparing. There are many ways to contribute to this forum.

Yes, a wiki would be a good idea. I know there is a lot of information in this forum and especially the Knowledge Base sub forum. But searching for specifics can sometimes be tedious. A wiki with more structured / linked / updated information would be an improvement. But I have no experience how much effort it is to setup a wiki. And I wonder how many modders are still around and willing to actually contribute to the wiki?

Well, this community is over 15 years old now and most modders still don't use a proper code editor (come on, Notepad++ is great) to edit INI files, don't use proper comments (no, you don't comment on the same line you barbarian, looking at you Wrench ), don't use a diff/merge tool (come on, WinMerge is free), don't use version control (come on, Subversion with TortoiseSVN is easy to pick up) and even worse, many still don't use Mue's wonderful tools. I mean, we're 15 years in, and we still don't have a wiki to document the folder and file structure, what each and every file and folder are, what they do, what each line in each file does... We're 15 years in, we finally have some "licencing" in place allowing the community to pick up where the last modders stopped (with some noticeable exceptions for more or less valid reasons), but we still don't have a Subversion (because Git isn't made for projects with large binaries, don't make that mistake) server for projects under that licence. It's not necessarily that they don't know that these tools exist or don't know how to use them, but for most it's just that it's a hobby and they don't feel like working on it as if it were a job, and I certainly can't blame them... I mean, I know exactly what to do, how to do it, I do it on a small scale for my own installs, but I don't have the time or energy to set it up or organise it for the community. There, that's my frustration, and I'm not really holding it against modders, I mean, I'm not doing anything to solve this situation even though I could, so I'll just shut up now.

Hey everybody! We hope you are hanging in there and staying healthy! While we're stuck inside our homes trying not to get sick I thought you'd enjoy some footage of our improved airframe damage model in action. These clips show how our wings are much stronger than before and how our improved damage calculations cause a myriad of failures that can bring down a plane, or in some cases, maybe allow you to limp home. Please note that the engine damage was turned off for this video as we are currently concerned with the airframe and how it behaves. Remember just because a plane takes a physical beating, doesn't mean all the systems are functioning. A knocked out plane may keep flying for a little while, but it is likely not going to make it home or stay controllable. My point is don't get too hung up on some of these planes surviving multiple HE hits. One good placed burst and your day is likely ruined, but your wings should not fold like a bad poker hand. Larger planes and historically tougher planes now have a better personality to match their reputation. I pieced this video together in a hurry, so the commentary may not be the best and some of my American humor may get lost in translation. I hope you enjoy this little distraction during this crazy time. Our airframe damage improvements will be in the next update before the end of March. My gunnery stinks I know. All AI is basically on Novice so I can actually catch them and hit them. These were just simple furball missions. Try to have an enjoyable weekend everyone! And remember our Promo Codes are still good!! Jason P.S. I have been asked what I filmed this on. Intel i7 7200K 4.2ghz, 64Gb RAM, SSD, 20280Ti, 4K res on Asus 43" G-Sync monitor (120hz Refresh / 144hz OC). Ultra Graphics maxed. Average FPS 90-120. Captured with DXtory app at 60fps at 50% size which is 1080p.

Another re-run pulled from the What-If Screenshot Thread - The Final Countdown (1980) Tonight's film is everyone's other favourite F-14 movie.... (Dialogue is courtesy of imdb) Captain Yelland: Alert One this is Eagle One, what've you got? Pilot: Two Japanese Zeroes, sir. Captain Yelland: Two what? Pilot: Two Trophy Class Mitsubishi A6Ms in original condition, complete with all markings. I mean, they look brand new sir! Captain Yelland: Have you been spotted? Pilot: Negative, we're right in the sun at their 6 o'clock high. Captain Yelland: Stay in visual contact, take no action without clearance. Pilot: Wilco Eagle One, out. Captain Yelland: Eagle Control to Alert One, you are clear to arm, but don't fire. Throw them off, play with them, but do not fire. F-14 pilot #1: Affirmative! F-14 pilot #1: Say, Fox... that woke 'em up F-14 pilot #2: Yeah, but I think we should give 'em another shot! [one of the F-14's barely dodges a burst of gunfire from one of the Zeroes] Pilot: Why the hell are we playing with these guys? Captain Yelland: Alert One this is Eagle One, you are clear to fire. Splash the Zeroes. I say again, splash the Zeroes... F-14 pilot #1: Eagle Control, Alert One. Splash two, repeat, splash two. Possibly one survivor in the water.

He said yes, and he suffered under my constant, questions, chats, and messages. but the result and work he put into this, is great! The attention to detail is high! This is still WIP but it is far better than i ever could produce. Im happy to show you those first pics. Our plan is to provide pits up the the M series WIP Su-17 Fitter B
