14 pointsAll, again with the excitement growing around Gepard's Operation Seelöwe project, I noticed an opportunity to make another contribution. This time, it's around supporting the outstanding UK airfields phase he is currently working on. So, I made a UK Type 2 WWII Hangar, which was a type of temporary military aircraft hangar introduced in early 1940. It was steel welded and bolted construction typically clad in galvanized corrugated iron sheets. The T2 became the standard temporary hangar and one of the most mass produced hangars for the RAF throughout WW2. Here is one version I came up, all mesh and textures built from scratch, based on this particular reference photo mainly. Spent a lot of time especially trying to get the textures compelling and making it extremely frame rate friendly - under 2000 polys with just a few textures and lower detail version just 200 polys. You should be able to place a lot of these to amp up the eye candy with minimal frame rate hit is the idea of course. Anyway, still have some texture tweaks and other mesh updates to do, but getting closer to finalizing so hope you like it for now.

SF2 F-86D Sarbre Dog Revamp Pack 5/19/2020 "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods" = For SF2 (Any & All) = This package is designed to replace the original F-86D/L pack available from the folowing URL: https://combatace.com/files/file/10286-sf2-f-86dl-v10/ by suhjake from 2009 It is NOT necessary to have the original mod pack, as this WILL replace it in total. Everything reusable from that pack will be included with this. On a side note, the F-86L "Lima" Sabre will be covered in a a seperate release. Even though the folder is named "F-86D-45" it represents =ALL= production blocks of the Sabre Dog, for those users included in the mod package. The following units are depicted herein: 101st Hikotai (56-68) - JASDF 16th FIS (51-59) - PACAF, Misawa Japan 37th FIS (53-58) - Ethan Allen AFB, VT 97th FIS (51-55) - Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 431st FIS "Red Devils" (55-58) - Wheelus AFB, Lybia 469th FIS (53-58) - McGhee Tyson AFB, TN 520th FIS (54-55) - Geiger Field, Spokane WA 146th FIS Pa ANG (57-60) -they used the F-86L congruently with the F-86D and a USAF Silver (Generic) -a blank skin for other skinners to use. All of the Original Skins have been completely redone, although they remain in bmp format. Several of the orignal decals have been reused, but modified from level 2 to level 0 (tail squadron markings). 26 all new serial and buzz numbers have been created. The 101 Hikotai and the 97th FIS & 431st do NOT use this same pool of numbers. They needed they're own for reasons that will become apparent during game play. The 431st is the ONLY unit in the pack that is listed on the stick squadronlist ini, and is tagged accordingly. Most marking are decals; in some cases wing and squadron marking had to be painted on due to mesh issues (tail). Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. On the individual number lists, any number marked with a star (*) is 100% correct for that unit. All weapons, pilots, etc are included. A backup copy of the original Data ini is already provided, as the new one has many modifications and adjustments. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... they can be accessed after unzipperizing. Please follow the 'usual instructions' Happy Landing! Wrench Kevin Stein -

Default skin for SDAD VII's family in-game integrated models. I tried to add some "photorealistic" textures for more impressive image of this aircraft. Add to SPAD7_150, SPAD7_180, SPAD7_LG : [TextureSetXXX] Name=French_PhR Nation=FRANCE Squadron=3ESC Specular=0.800000 Glossiness=0.800000 Reflection=0.500000 StartDefaultDate=1916 Eugene -
2 pointsNo. Its not planned. Seaplanes were used for SAR missions only over the Ärmelkanal/English Channel/Le Manche. SAR missions are not possible in SF2 world. Thatswhy i will not include bases for seaplanes.

2 pointsThe problem is to get footages from 1940 for the german airfields. The british are well documented, the german bases rather less. I found a foto in Gallands book "Die Ersten und die Letzten", which showed an german airfield during BoB. It was a cluster of tents and huts and planes standing wild in the area. I will do my best to give each airfield an unique apperance. Sit rep: I added some more buildings and the Flak defence for RAF Northolt.

1 pointHello! Three months ago I finished the radiotherapy and for the moment I am well, but there are secondary effects to the treatment and my recovery was in painfully slow increments. I didn't forget you all, I was thinking of you a lot when I was in my bed. Let's hope that the cancer won't come back. The tumor is gone but first 3 years doctors said it will be critic. I am staying positive and I am hoping for the better. Well about the project now. Baffmeister helped a lot fiddling the FM and the weapons problems. Since there was not time and inspiration to make it better in this time when I was gone, I will release it as it is, with improvements those made by Baffmeister. I hope you will forgive me , but It's been a long time since I was supposed to release it. PS - thank you for your support and your kind words. They helped and meant a lot to me guys. PPS - There was a thread in which were given solutions to that annoying thing of the game which copied over a plane files if the name of the folder was the same (the stock plane thing), I can't find it. If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate. Thank you!

1 pointI look forward to integrating these add-ons for the Elephants, Crawford - great work with the camera addition, especially for wingmen too! Speaking of rudders and other control surfaces, changes to min/max deflection also change the FM, and this is often a quick, practical way of modifying the FMs (I've got, for example, min/max deflection of about 20 on the Elephant, G.100 and G.102, rudders - in my FM pack - gives more subtle/lethargic response from the rudder that way). Sometimes, however, the "c" values for lift, drag, force of movement, etc., have to be tweaked too - but Ojcar's FMs usually don't require that much intervention fortunately (the rudders for prop aircraft in SF2 - particularly the A-Team stuff - are more of a pain to modify, compared to the FE2 models). There are of course several other FM changes in the data inis too - but I can't remember all of the details at the moment (there's a long Read Me included in my FM pack that I recommend going over, for those who have downloaded the package). EDIT: Have pm-ed you my FM pack as four smaller, zipped files - to facilitate downloading on slower internet connections. I will keep the files up for a couple of months in the pm message, for your convenience. Happy flying, Von S

1 pointVultee P-66D Vanguard - Royal Dhimari Air Force, 1944 The British dependence on oil from the middle-east, and especially from the Kingdom of Dhimar, during World War 2 made the sporadic Parani attacks on the Mazadran Oil Fields a deep concern to Britain during the summer of 1941. In late September 1941, to support the Dhimari armed forces defending Mazadran and the Al'Samara region, the British Government donated 30 of the 100 Vultee P-66 Vanguard fighter aircraft it had itself inherited from an embargoed Sweden order. Delivered during November 1941 the Dhimari Vanguards were more than a match for the Italian Fiat CR. 42 Falco aircraft that formed the backbone of the Parani Air force but were later outclassed when Germany began to supply Bf 109E-7's to Paran during the Spring of 1942.
