2 pointsView File F/A-18E What If Blue Angels Skin This is a skin I originally did for the SF1 version, but adapted for SF2. All six positions are decalled. Add the folders per the SF2 setup (already setup so you can drop and go fly) and is under "Blue Angels" and is in the F/A-18E Block II Super Hornet. Submitter EricJ Submitted 11/29/2020 Category F-18

2 pointsI understand your enthusiasm, guys. However, right now I'm concentrating on getting this one finished. It will have the late tailplane and one gun, which seems to be the most common configuration. After that I'll think about making other versions.

1 pointor maybe they did...from wiki Armament The basic armament of the F-104 was the 20 mm (.79 in) M61 Vulcan Gatling-mechanism autocannon. This weapon frequently had shell ejection problems due to linked ammunition resulting in avionic problems and crashes. A linkless ammunition feed system was developed for the upgraded M61A1 installed in the F-104C and later models. The Starfighter was the first aircraft to carry the new weapon, which had a rate of fire of 6,000 rounds per minute. The cannon, mounted in the lower part of the port fuselage, was fed by a 725-round drum behind the pilot’s seat, giving only a continuous 7+ second burst of fire. It was omitted in all the two-seat models and some single-seat versions, including reconnaissance aircraft and the early Italian F-104S; the gun bay and ammunition tank were usually replaced by additional fuel tanks. The gun’s location was advantageous as gun-flash was not in the pilot’s line of sight, therefore not robbing him of night-adjusted vision. Two AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles could be carried on the wingtip stations, which could also be used for fuel tanks. The F-104C and later models added a centerline pylon and two underwing pylons for bombs, rocket pods, or fuel tanks. The centerline pylon could carry a nuclear weapon; a “catamaran” launcher for two additional Sidewinders could be fitted under the forward fuselage, although the installation had minimal ground clearance and made the seeker heads of the missiles vulnerable to ground debris. The F-104S models added a pair of fuselage pylons beneath the intakes available for conventional bomb carriage. The F-104S had an additional pylon under each wing, for a total of nine.

1 pointYou and Mrs take care of yourselves!!! I'd send chicken soup (aka: Jewish Penicillin), but it would be way cold by the time it got to you. Stay strong; you'll get through this!!

This is a proposed scheme per this article: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/37634/these-are-the-proposed-paint-schemes-for-the-navys-new-adversary-super-hornets It should be noted I did as best as possible to mimic the scheme in the article, with some artistic license on some parts. Otherwise it's close enough to work as a reproduction of the scheme. Drop in your FA-18F_BlkII folder and go fly, and can be found under "Iran F-14 scheme" in the dropdown menu. -

1 pointFunny as I was tweaking this myself the other day... In your AIRCRAFTOBJECT.INI (which you might need to extract from one of Objectdata CAT files) try these values in [Views] section highlighted in red: [Views] DefaultCockpit=A-4B_cockpit.ini CockpitOffsetDist=0.07 LookAroundHeight=0.08 HeadAccelFactor=0.5 HeadRollFactor=0.006 HeadSpringFactor=40.0 HeadDampingFactor=1.0 HeadMoveLimit=0.05 not perfect but gives slightly more movement for you viewpoint, perfect would be additional view roll during, well, rolling, Flamming Cliffs 2 style... worth further experimenting
