6 pointsNavy Training in the 80's - the "hawk"-Part of VT-86 Sabrehawks (T-39 Sabreliner were the "Sabre"-part) ;) Revamped TA-4J skins + fakepilots.

6 pointsAs you pointed out, the SPADs were delayed so the Nieuport sesquiplanes continued in use long after they should have been retired. Probably. As I can make two aircraft by adapting the 24 backwards to a 17, I may as well make a decent cockpit that both models can use. Also worked on the Pfalz cockpit.

2 pointsWhen finished, it will run in either FE1 or FE2. The LODs are done, the baseline art is nearly done, and the cockpit is under construction.

SF2 C-130 Hercules and other Cargo Pilots 2016 By Viper63a This mod includes additional C-130 or other cargo plane pilots. Not sure where the base pilot I modded came from, I think I got the pilot from a different mod. If anyone knows, please drop me a line so I can properly credit the creator of the LOD file. To use the pilots, please add them to your "Pilots" folder and update your "<plane>DATA.INI" file's "Crew" section to display them in your planes. 9 White Males 2 Black Males 1 Oriental Male 1 Black Female 2 White Females Enjoy! 1 pointG'Day All, This post has been a long time coming, but I thought it was appropriate in the wake of the 60th anniversary of the Hercules' first flight. I am in the process of upgrading all my Hercules models to one standard. Having a critical look at what was my very first 3d model (originally built over 8 years ago), I was not impressed. Basically 95% of the model will be replaced by a high poly version with additional detail and animations. Where possible, I will be using the same texture mapping positions but unfortunately to get the full benefit of the new model, new skins will need to be made...sorry to everyone who has worked hard on their C-130 skins. The good news is that I will be releasing the Photoshop templates also, so the extra work shouldn't be too hard. Anyway, below are some comparison pics with the before shot on the left (2006 model) and after on the right (2014 model). I plan to upload more comparison shots and eventually in game shots as I go. 1 pointMitsubishi Aerospace F-3A - 302nd Hikotai (Aggressor Flight), Japanese Air Self Defense Force, 2013 When Japan selected the F-16 to be it's new 'secondary fighter' in 1987 it had already been planned to produce a developed version of the F-16 to be manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to replace the ageing Mitsubishi F-1 and F-4EJ and eventually supplement the F-15J. But even before production of the F-2 had started, senior JASDF officials requested a more capable aircraft to replace the F-15J and by late 1992 they had settled upon a revised version of the rejected General Dynamics ATF submission dating from the late 1980's. This promised to give Mitsubishi an opportunity to introduce technologies planned for the F-2 into the new F-3 'primary fighter' such as the co-cured technology used to create lighter composite structures and the F110-GE-129 engine. With rumours emerging of a probable merger between General Dynamics and Lockheed, Mitsubishi moved swiftly and controversially bought the GD design in early 1993 including long-term production licences regarded by many aerospace industry insiders as being grossly over-valued and leading to a unit price that eventually exceeded that of the F-22 Raptor. Despite this, development of the F-3 moved smoothly with the programme generally running about five years behind the F-2 and thus able to continue to incorporate innovations learnt from it's smaller predecessor. The first flight of the XF-3A took place on December 24th, 2000 with production F-3A aircraft entering service with 302nd Hikotai in early 2011. Julhelm's outstanding General Dynamics ATF Contender.

1 pointTweaking of horizon cloud fog to "false" in the environsys file, combined with the clouds from the Stary effects pack v. 1.3 - has given me interesting results recently, with a nice combination of WOFF-style clouds in the foreground, and background clouds more visible than the high cirrus ones that emerge if horizon cloud fog is set to true. Also enjoying that the Gotha G.III in this case, after its high-compression FM tweaks, has rolled onto its back after its engine fire - always new surprises in FE2. The Nieuport 23bis makes for a wonderful interceptor by the way. Happy flying, Von S

1 pointnot a problem, but a kudo could not load a signature previously (keeping me off the pissed of Capun bandwagon). can do it since the upgrade. could have been my dumb self, but will attribute it to site improvement! (and the red signifies dual banned status!)

1 pointYes, even movies are part of politics-making manipulation, can be very well of instruments of demonization, heroization and pointing fingers at the projected enemy...
-
1 pointSome nice movies. But finally the same "idea" as the western movies. "We are the good boys, they are the bad guys." Same rubbish in west and east.

1 pointMenrva, The map was before the computer crashed when I had Photoshop. I basically took the TW color palette and did a "replace" option. Now I am using GIMP and am relearning everything. If I can figure it out with GIMP you will be the first to know! Krfrge

1 pointIn the stock First Eagles screens, there is a very faint blue gradient at the top of the screen, and a faint red (or brown?) gradient at the bottom. I tried very hard to match it in the screens I made for the Eastern Front campaign many years ago, but they didn't quite match.

1 pointAlso been tinkering with the Caudron R11, and have a question for experts on French WW1 camo. Note the metal fittings in the shot of the M-S Type AI - is the blue-gray paint typical?

1 pointFinished the LODs and pretty much finished the silver-gray fuselage art, but still gotta finish the wings art and make the cockpit. Shots below are of an experiment - the silver fuselage was converted to red to see how it looks. As usual, click on shots for hi-res images.

1 pointGot George Peppard working this morning. He may need a bit more work. As usual, click shots for hi-res image.

1 pointMaking good progress on the skins - they are nearly finished. Then, LODs and cockpit. This illustrates why I don't release more aircraft. Making the aircraft model and skins - the fun part - is only 50% of the required effort.

1 pointHello Monty, Thank you for this great plane ! I rate it 6 stars. There is one small problem though. The the fuel gauge is not working. But fortunately I found the problem. In the cockpit ini the following statement is wrong: [internalFuelGauge] Type=INETERNAL_FUEL_QUANTITY_INDICATOR It should be [internalFuelGauge] Type=INTERNAL_FUEL_QUANTITY_INDICATOR

0 pointsSo, with a Nieuport 17 in the hopper, what's the chances of seeing a celebrity pilot for the Aéronautique Militaire? Perhaps this guy?
