1 pointSome of the AAMs in the various weapon packs need another data revision. I have AIM-120's which speed along at Mach 7.4 .. Avoiding missiles, turning to move the threat to the 3-9 line seems to work OK, and firing chaff/flares if available.

1 pointFrom what I gathered from the email that was sent out that he was going to work on a patch for the game. I don't think the game has had a problem for modern SAM systems, unless you're talking about ability to shoot down bombs or missiles or whatnot. It is what it is and I think it's pretty lethal so far without AI tweaking. I think it's good enough personally to not require any tweaking, it works for me with the current code. But then again any tweaking or improvement is welcomed for SAM systems, such as multiple engagement of targets to make them more lethal I can see and I'm sure what you mean.

1 pointIf you did 30% or more of changes on model it can be consider a new one. If not, make the credits and go on. It's a sort of "abandonware".

1 pointWell ive emailed Virtavia ,old alphasim, etc but not heard a dickie bird...looking at forums seems they might be defunct...I am still resending emails, and hope to get some response...if by mid feb no answer Im gonna release it....by then It might be a total rebuild any ways lol

1 pointFE2 like SF2 can support most res screens...I usually use 1920x1080 for screens etc and always Jpegs...
-
1 pointChina may have a vast new navy...but...they havent the War experience the US fleet has...in conventional warfare I think the US fleet would seriously kick chinas ass...
-
1 pointOh, no, I didn’t mean the resolution of the display, but the resolution of screenshots that do not want to be displayed. The fact is that the FE1 game engine does not like it when the size of the image for the Menu exceeds 1024x768 pixels (the same applies to the Hangar screen for each aircraft, at the same time, the size of the Download image does not matter).
-
1 pointSorry, Shousa, what generation game are you using? Most likely, the reason is either in the format of the screens- JPG or BMP, or in the screens resolution .
-
1 pointThis one runs fine NOT ONLY in SFP1 Series , but in Strike Fighters 2 too. Because the 2nd Gens accepts both ANSI and Unicode files and skins of JPG and BMP formats, while the 1st Gens accepts ANSI files and BMP format textures only. By the way, in the SFP1 series games, there is no separate “Pilot” folder, so unzipped folder named "GK-Pilot" need to be thrown directly into your Objects/Aircraft folder. ;)

1 pointhug the dirt. works against most everything except AMRAAM. or the lucky peasant farmer with grand dads shot gun
-
1 pointYeah, trying to break radar/missile lock in this game seems to be a largely hit or miss affair. After multiple attempts, I can never get replicable results.
-
1 pointI usually pray while jinking and drop flares or chaff, though most often that doesn't seem to work, though I do my best to avoid getting locked on too.
-
1 pointFor aircraft that seem to be missing engine sounds (if you are using the data inis from my FM update packs), I recommend the two links called "List of My Engine Sound Names and Original Engine Sound Names" and "Engine Sounds Pack," from the following post: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/91337-problems-with-my-fe2/?tab=comments#comment-738368 In terms of Caporetto campaign questions, hopefully someone with more experience with campaigns will pitch in with helpful info. (I have the terrain installed but usually fly single missions over it). Von S

1 pointI know this profile made by the fantastic argentin artist, Ronny Bar. I did one skin for all Escadrille 471 including Lt. Kellog. Only Lansing C. Holden is wainting for a more acurate color research. It's by far the most extravagant Nieuport 27 of Escadrille 471.

1 pointall well and good if all the sailors and soldiers of the OPFOR are at the very least trained to a sort of acceptable level, however, most Chinese/Korean/ whatever although there are indeed a lot of them, are mainly poorly trained conscripts, and yes i know weight of numbers etc. etc etc. however, they are not very good, also their Officers, are for the most part short service conscripts too, with pretty much zero practical knowledge or experience, even the regulars are by Western standards, mediocre, their kit isn't the best either, yes its serviceable for the most part, but in no way comparable to anything the West can bring to bear. Are they scary ? yes, of course they are ( they have weight of numbers if nothing else.) but for the most part they aren't very well trained, or equipped, dont forget most of what we see that makes us gulp, is for propaganda purposes, and does not accurately represent the actual fighting capability of the Chinese, yes there are a hell of a lot of them, and they have in the past proven to be hard fighters, they certainly gave the Japanese a run for their money !! But since Korea in the 50's not many Chinese troops ( and I count the Navy and Air Forces in this ) have had much real combat or tactical experience. Yeah they have a lot of surface ships, but the US Submarine Fleet could eat them alive, and dont forget it wouldn't just be the US, up against them, there woul;d be other NATO forces involved should this rather unfortunate situation occur, not that I think it will to be honest, the Chinese at the end of the day are far from stupid, why fight a physical war which you stand good chance of losing, or maybe just being badly mauled, when you can win by economic means !!

Hello SF2 flyers, For several late 1930s and early WW2 prop aircraft, tweaks have been applied to the data inis, ranging from lift values for wings and wing tips to the engine section, prop rpms, flight control section, gears section, flaps, also empty weight, inertia values, ceilings, engine sounds, rudder reversal effect fix, aileron/elevator/rudder sensitivity and movement, etc., depending on the type tweaked. Tweaks are not as extensive as for my FE2 work - but I've tried to get them into the "90% realistic enough" category for SF2 since these higher performing types are difficult to precision peg to within a km or two of historical stats., in contrast to the slower-moving FE2 types. Many thanks to the original FM modders for these prop types, including Baffmeister, Wrench, Cocas, MontyCZ, Charles of A-Team, Coupi, Paulopanz, and others I may not have mentioned here. The data inis are for SF2 installs only, tested at hard FM settings (no guarantees that the AI can land them nicely, although they fly them just fine). Please read the included "Read Me" file for more thorough information and also to access the links to the aircraft that have been tweaked. Happy flying, Von S DISCLAIMER: All Von S mods, for FE2, SF2, also WOFFue, are subject to the CombatAce "freeware" terms of agreement. Mods may be shared with others, included on other media devices, also modded further, providing that original documentation and/or credit is included, and providing that the mods remain free to use. Von S mods shall not be sold, resold, etc., and Von S takes no responsibility for injuries or fixations that may result from flying heavily tweaked FMs or from attempts to enjoy real flying without aid or instruction from a qualified flight instructor. -
