SF2 NAA B-45A & B-45C Pack by Veltro2k 3/16/2021 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods" This is the release of the North American B-45 "Tornado" light jet bomber. This was the first jet bomber in USAF service, and the 1st one (USAF) with 4 jet engines. There are 2 aircraft in this package, all representing aircraft from the 47th Bomb Wing, as stationed in the UK in the early to mid 1950s. Please note, these are the BOMBER version =ONLY=. In this you have: B-45A: 86th Bomb Squadron B-45C: 85th Bomb Squadron All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial numbers are 100% historically accurate. On the "A" model's number list any marked with a star (*) have been 100% matched to the 86th BS, those without, while serving in the 47th BW, could not be matched to a specific squadron. As there were only 10 "C" bomber variants built, I've assigned them to the 85th; in Real Life (tm) only a few C's made it to squadron service, and those were intermixed with the A's already in service. All necessary parts have been provided, with one caveat. The Mk.7 (61kt) nuclear bomb dose =NOT= include the nuke explosion effect. As there are several around, you End Users (tm) may need to do some editing/renaming. I use the one from the Gunny Ordinance Pack. The skin template is included, as are the templates for the tail and nose squadron color flashes. As another B-45 exists from "elsewhere", these 2 have been differentiated in their Displayed Name on the aircraft Drop Down Selector. You'll see: B-45A Tornado (V2K) and B-45C Tornado (V2K) This shows it Veltro's build, even if you don't/can't get "the other one". As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE READ THEM!!! Also, please read the "Notes" for other info, and some operational suggestions. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein ======================== -
3 pointsHope for a recovery of the taste, very important. There are several methods for recovering saliva after a cancer treatmen, xylitol being one of them, but there are also new ones like using Xerostom products with olive oil. Sorry but being a nurse my professional part jumped in.

2 pointsPer default the games write the options.ini and version.ini to %Userprofile%\Saved Games\Thirdwire\<game exe name>\ (e.g. C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\). By changing the Options/OptionsFile entry in the <game exe name>.ini file you can indeed change the location of the options.ini file: [Options] OptionsFile=F:\MyOptionsDir\MyOptions.ini But you have to make sure that the target folder (in the example above F:\MyOptionsDir) already exists. However, the version.ini (and I think some auto update stuff) will still be written under ...\Saved Games\... The %Userprofile%\Saved Games folder is actually one of the 'special folders' in Microsoft Windows. Windows allows you to change the location of the special folders and therefore also of the Saved Games folder: Right click on the folder -> Properties -> Location. After that all games in windows will write it's data to this new location. Unfortunately the SF2 games with the exception of SF2 North Atlantic are buggy in this regard. They will still write to the original location %Userprofile%\Saved Games .
-
2 pointsWhen in 3ds max you check specular etc that then cancels out the texture.ini settings...and vice versa

This is aggressive" Meanwhile, in Thailand: Phantom Leader "Keep looking out boys, these Aussies are sneaky, we are getting some good training against them MiG-17s" Phantom No4 "So that's why they paint snakes on their tails?" Phantom Leader "You shut up"

1 pointi´m working on a new F-4B model for SF2 and need a bit help 1. based on the tactical manual from September 1972 for the F-4B was the AERO-3B launchrail used on early F-4B versions , antil when was this Aero-3B / AIM-9B used in the Navy ??? i assume that with the AIM-9D service start ( about 1966 ) the LAU-7A launchrail was used also for the AIM-9B 2. the F-4B was able to carry 1 AIM-7 on the inner wing pylon , did that continou for all Navy versions of the F-4 , i have pictures showing the AIM-7 on inner wing pylon on F-4N dont know with later versions 3. is there a way to limit the drag chute to be used on land based airfields only , i now that we have some entrys so the chute can only be dployed with a certain air speed dont know if there is a way for land based airfields to if anybody knows some answers please let me know

Mirage F-1CZ (82). This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. South Africa began looking for a replacement for the Mirage III in 1971 and purchased a licence to manufacture the Mirage F1 and its engine, the intention being to produce up to 100 Mirage F1s. This license was however cancelled because of the 1977 arms embargo. The SAAF then bought 16 Mirage F1CZs and 32 Mirage F1AZs which were quickly delivered by Dassault before the embargo was implemented, with deliveries starting in 1975. Both the F1CZ and F1AZ variants of the SAAF saw action during operations in the Border War. This version include new RWR and chaffs and flares dispensers. Covered unit : N°3 Squadron Annual Air Combat Manoeuvring 1986 A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered. Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this. This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware. Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms. Enjoy The Mirage F-1 Team. -

1 pointchange Nation001 or just add another nation. not to be a kill joy, but i wouldnt hold my breath on that. no actual updates since 2013, and no talk of updates since the failed crowd fund attempt last year another hint for what you are looking for would be within the code of campaigns. when starting a campaign, it has limits on aircraft based on what service you select; no RAF Tomcats in Desert Storm! i dont know how that is managed, but realied that seems closer to what youre talking about

Wrench Kevin Stein ======================== To Install: As always reccomended, unzip the "sf2_b45a-c_pack.zip" to a temp folder or your desktop or somewhere that's easy to find. Copy/Paste the /Objects folder DIRECTLY into the SF2 game install of choice's /Objects folder. It's already divided into the various sub-folders used by SF2. ------------------------------- = NOTES: For all interested, the RB-45C recce bird from the 2010 MAX files I've been hanging on to, has been sent to RussoUK. As soon as Russ gets caught up on his projects, and fixes the myriad screw-ups on the this, we'll have the recon version. I've very aware the FM is a bit "overmodeled", expecially in releation to engine power. But, research shows that these did routinely out run (the recces for the most part) Mig-15s at pretty much all altitudes. I have the Pilot's Manual for anyone wishing to study or dispute any numbers. Or for anyone wishing to fine tune the FM. While the A carries no external wingtip tanks, this variant of the C does. In reality, they are removable (bolt-ons) and were added when the mission called for it. These tanks, while seperate items, have the "NoJettisonTank=TRUE" statement. So, don't bother trying. As the aircraft has no offensive guns, I've kept it strictly to the mission tasking as USAFE had -- conventional strike with GP 500 pound bombs (24), and "special attack" using the T-10 Tallboy or the Mk.7 nuke (61 kt version set in the loadout ini). There is no CAS/Armed Recon or Anti-Ship tasking. The entire produciton run of the bombers served in Europe as deterants against the Reds. You do have functioning ground mapping radar (the usual) AND a working bombsight for altitude bombing. Anything else you'll have to use 'Kentucky Windage', as there's no other in-cockpit sighting methods. Now, if the game engine would actually ALLOW the aircraf to fly at it's normal 20k feet altitude...there is MOST definately something wrong in the game's AI routines. But, we knew that anyway. Even using the AI statements (LevelBombAI) set to 9000m, the damn bird stays well below that. The Strike_Heavy (Tallboy) & Strike_Nuc can be accessed via the in-game mission editor, and are selectable on the "Loadout" drop down. Enjoy! ----------------------------- Credits: Veltro2k for the aircraft The Wrench : skins, all ini work, decals, screens, etc 3W for the cockpit Crusader for the K-14 sight from the PappaRomeo WW2 gunsight pack & the WW2 style verticle bombsight ?? for the Tallboy & Mk.7 nuke Sources: Forgotten Jets Joe Baugher's Serial Number site ------------ If you have any problems, questions, comments, I can be reached in the usual places; CombatAce, SimHQ, or the usual p0rn sites. Happy Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein -------------------------------------------- Legal BS: This is freeware, it =CAN= be redistrubuted in campaigns, but =CANNOT= be posted on other sites even if the original readmes and all other pieces of the package remain intact. The names of all contributors, modders, suppliers, etc =MUST= be listed in any new readmes. This package may =NOT= in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions. ------------------------------------------- ========== Submitter Veltro2k Submitted 03/24/2021 Category Other

1 pointin the past days i was searching for pictures or drawings of a Double Ejector Rack also named Twin Store Carriage that was used on the Harrier GR1 and AV-8A and on the Alpha Jet , a similar model was used on the F-104G ( some small differences ) , on my search i found a Belgium Air Force Alpha Jet displayed with the Double Ejector Rack and German made LAU-51A rocket launchers , so i finaly can finish my LAU-51A launchers and i have some good pictures of that Double Ejector Rack , by the way does anybody know the exact name of that rack ??? or maybe the manufacturer i have now 2 versions of the LAU-51A a white one for the USAF and NATO and the green / silver one for the German Air Force , i may make a 3rd one in olive green for the USAF and Nato

1 pointthis is from the official SAAF site , the V3A replaced the Magic in the SAAF and the only reason the bought the R550 was that the V3A was not ready yet and the needed a missile that was better than the AIM-9B so if the V3A was available for the SAAF by 1975 why buy the R550 1976 or later ??? it may be that the french did get the R550 by 1976 but the info that i have is that the SAAF resived the first R550 in 1973 R550 Description: Purchased from France, the Matra R.550 infra-red guided air-to-air missile was replaced by the V3A Kukri. V3A Description: In 1969, the SAAF indicated that they had a requirement for a more manoeverable missile than the AIM-9B (V2) Sidewinder. The V3A was South Africa's first locally developed short-range infra-red dogfight air-to-air missile to enter service and was proberly based on the R.550 Magic. Development commenced from1971. The first successful interceptions by the Kentron V3A were reported in 1972 and it entered production in 1973 and a total of 20 missile were built by 1975. The V3A was also one of the first missiles to feature a helmet-mounted acquisition system which allowed the pilot to lock the missile's seeker head onto a target well outside his aircraft's axis. However, the seeker head was limited to 30 degrees angle off firing under low g conditions. The missile was integrated on the Mirage F1CZ before the aircraft left France. The missile was used by the SAAF until 1978 if you have other info please let me know , i like to get the data right but there are so many conflicting infos i don't know what is what
