8 pointsAnd how this is going to help? It is fun to have a wish list...but it is only fun. the cockpit will not make itself suddenly... Research time. This is not like you will google "xyz cockpit" and have ready everything. Manuals, hundreds of photos and you still will have a shitload of work. I think years ago someone asked about creating a research group - to take part of the workload from the modeler. Suppose it did not work out either. Maybe one day... as for now generally, 3d guys here are on their own... But believe me, research in this matter is hard. As I said - it is not about googling cockpit photos. the best thing about making a working cockpit is - that in the end after all this hard work you will feel rewarded. So...yes we need a cockpit for this and that..but whining about it...will not make it happen...

3 pointsAfter looking on my terrain and then on Google Earth i realized, that i placed Montevideo at the wrong position. So i had to move it. Near to horizon you see the city tile at the old position. In reality there is a town called Ciudad del Plata or so. Montevideo is around the bay, which is a natural harbour. Same position, but view to the south, the suburbs of Montevideo along the coastline and the Montevideo International Airport Short view of this airport. First steps, there is still a lot to do.

StrikeFighters2 BOP OTC addon BETA.7z TO INSTALL: Unpack the files and out into your 'StrikeFighters2 OTC' mods folder. You MUST overide when prompted!!! It will not affect the OTC campaigns and objects in anyway. The aim of this addon to fly as the A-4B Skyhawk in the air-to-air role as planned if Kennedy hadn't massively reduced the planned air support by the Navy at the last minute. But you can also fly in the ground support role as a Rebel/ CIA B-26B "During Bay of Pigs VA-34 A-4B Skyhaks from the USS Essex flew a CAP/ escort mission with the intention of protecting the Rebal A-26 Invaders but due to a timing cock up were an hour late and missed engaging the Cuban T-33A fighters. They also flew multiple reconnaissance flights over the invasion beach throughout the incident. Due to President Kennedy insisting that there be no proof of US involvement the Skyhawks had their USN markings painted over. This was one of the first VSF Skyhawk detachments and the A-4B could not carry the AIM-9 at this point so Skyhawks operating over Cuba just had two wing drop tanks plus thier 20mm cannons." 2 pointsdrag chute must be part of the model properly linked in a hierarchy and be part of the visible component in data.ini. the new cockpit is not a problem - usually, the time needed to build one is. Generally, building a cockpit is much easier than an aircraft model - it just takes much more time. Same thing about double cockpits. Either it is a backseater, side-seater, or even can have three positions. The thing is you need time to build one.

2 pointsFolks , there's a problem with the vote system I didn't anticipated. The Website Poll applet allows just 15 item to choose from and there are 33 planes total in the final list, so...instead of complicating things and making at least 2x15 choices (and hopping that none will vote twice different planes LOL) we better make up our minds for a final 15 contestants list. So please take a good look to the preliminary list and let me know what you've decided.If this will be sorted out until Monday (enough time I hope), then we will have a poll Tuesday for two or three days, to let enough time for all to vote. If there is a better solution I would like to hear it.

1 pointThis happens only after ofisial updates or instaling oficial DLC or changing Version.ini file or serious damage modfolder folders structure. Or if you move your folder with the game and start it from new lokation the game overwrite default aircrafts. If you take attantion to this it will never happens again. My modfolder has been around for ages without this problem and I don't use any of the above tricks. As a last resort, select the airplane folder and set read-only attributes to the entire folder

1 pointsooo, you stole my idea... Building a plane is child's play compared to a cockpit in TIME units. As I know all cockpit gurus here are busy for years with their cockpit projects. Conclusion: there are few to none available hands on the deck for such task here. Unless one of them owe you a big favor or you can pay them to let their work to do yours, forget about it. You could end the thread here. PS - after every two or three years you will notice that a new cockpit entered the download section and that only if the author is not changing his mind to share it.

1 pointI am ready to deleting the proposed by me KAI KF-21 Boramae, because this is the aircraft of the future, it is in development and we do not yet know exactly how and when it will be mass-produced. What can definitely be removed from the list is the Sukhoi Su-75 Checkmate. This aircraft is an absolute propaganda fantasy and will never be translated into reality. You can Join together "doubles" as Mirage 2000N & Mirage 2000D. Minus useles for game aircrafts which are not "fighters not bombers nor recon" which are interesting but can not be applied in any mission. This is my opinion, personal. You may not agree with it.

1 pointI'm just fine, Ully, thanks for asking. I didn't realise you hadn't been around because lots of your previous posts on interesting topics are still kicking around on the site. I hope you are well too. Yes I will post. Any minute now. (Big smile and nod) As regards reverse thrust, which I tend to think of as a braking effect, rather than a means of an aircraft backing up, we're talking about needing extra airbrakes. I assume the reverse buckets on the SF Tornado work the same way as a drogue parachute on other SF aircraft. Basically you put the correct code into the data file that describes a second airbrake of whatever strength you want, which only operates when your wheels are on the ground. You don't need to see a parachute graphic out the back of the aircraft, (which would be nice - I believe the F-117 has it), but you get the effect of a drogue chute in the form of a second airbrake. I confess to stealing that code and putting it into an aircraft that should have had a drogue chute, back in my SF1 days, and it worked a treat. It might also be worth looking into the datafile of the SF2 version of the Marina Militare AV-8B+ which is in the downloads section. It features the moveable thrusters which can be pointed down to 90 degrees for vertical lift, but also to 120 degrees forward to aid in braking.

Rio de la Plata terrain version 1.3 ***************************************************** ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This terrain is written for SF2NA and SF2E or SF2I. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: This terrain covers the Bay of the river Rio de la Plata. South of this bay we find Argentina, north of it Urugay and Brazil. East of it is the Atlantic Ocean. The timeframe of the terrain is from 1980 to 2020. It is made as a NavalMap with carrier vs carrier operations in mind. The scenario is, that in 1982, the Royal Navy answered the argentinian invasion on the Falkland islands with sending a Naval Task Force toward Buenos Aires and landing troops on the shores of Argentina. Thatswhy you find a big british beachhead on the map. You can fly following missions for the British and their allies, the Brazilians: SWEEP,CAP,ESCORT,INTERCEPT,STRIKE,SEAD,ANTI_SHIP,RECON,CAS,Armed_Recon For the Argentinians you can fly this missions: SWEEP,CAP,ESCORT,INTERCEPT,STRIKE,SEAD,ANTI_SHIP,CAS,RECON New in vesion 1.2: - number of target area increased from 37 to 47 - all target areas are now fitted with objects. Factories, warehouses, commbuilding etc. - Airbase Tandil moved 75 km westward. It is not yet at the correct position. I fear, that if the base is placed at the correct position, the AI would not use it, because it is to far in the west. - At the former position of Tandil Airbase i placed a temporary aifield. - I added the river Rio Paradana and the neigbour rivers. - I relocated Montevideo and the Montevideo Airport. SF2 NAA B-45A & B-45C Pack by Veltro2k 3/16/2021 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods" This is the release of the North American B-45 "Tornado" light jet bomber. This was the first jet bomber in USAF service, and the 1st one (USAF) with 4 jet engines. There are 2 aircraft in this package, all representing aircraft from the 47th Bomb Wing, as stationed in the UK in the early to mid 1950s. Please note, these are the BOMBER version =ONLY=. In this you have: B-45A: 86th Bomb Squadron B-45C: 85th Bomb Squadron All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial numbers are 100% historically accurate. On the "A" model's number list any marked with a star (*) have been 100% matched to the 86th BS, those without, while serving in the 47th BW, could not be matched to a specific squadron. As there were only 10 "C" bomber variants built, I've assigned them to the 85th; in Real Life (tm) only a few C's made it to squadron service, and those were intermixed with the A's already in service. All necessary parts have been provided, with one caveat. The Mk.7 (61kt) nuclear bomb dose =NOT= include the nuke explosion effect. As there are several around, you End Users (tm) may need to do some editing/renaming. I use the one from the Gunny Ordinance Pack. The skin template is included, as are the templates for the tail and nose squadron color flashes. As another B-45 exists from "elsewhere", these 2 have been differentiated in their Displayed Name on the aircraft Drop Down Selector. You'll see: B-45A Tornado (V2K) and B-45C Tornado (V2K) This shows it Veltro's build, even if you don't/can't get "the other one". As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE READ THEM!!! The 18 Forrest Sherman-class destroyers were the first US post-war destroyers (DD-927 to DD-930 were completed as destroyer leader configurations). Commissioned beginning in 1955, these ships served until the late 1980s. Their weaponry underwent considerable modification during their years of service. Four were converted to guided missile destroyers. This class also served as the basis for the Charles F. Adams-class guided missile destroyer. Two ships of the class have become museum ships, nine have been sunk in training exercises, and the others have been scrapped or are scheduled to be scrapped.
