5 pointsThanks to Monster of Polycount... I wanted to scale up a uvmap mesh exactly as ive resized a texture from 1024 to 2048 which is obviously 2x so rescaling a uvmap is awkward unless you use the snap feature....which is jerky... heres a maxscript to make it so easy. open max, drop the maxscript Martinez_ScaleUVWsByNumber.mcr into vieport....then go to customise max ...then look for monsters uvmap scale...and add it to top tool bar...when you open a uvunwrap modifier....select the mesh.....open the toolbar button....and you get scale tool....just add amount....in my case it was 50% to fit the doubled size texture....abracadabra...mesh is exactly 50% scaled.... Martinez_ScaleUVWsByNumber.mcr

2 pointsI remember watching this video from Battlefield 3 and it was labeled "Realistic Dog Fight". I'll let this video do most of the talking. I'm just saying this is why I ask people that have been there and done that a lot of questions. When I do something as far telling a fictional story, I want it logical, accurate, and enjoyable. Logic and accuracy taking center stage. All that aside I think this another reason why DCS reigns supreme.

2 pointsNah ;-) Since start plan was 1 skin per plane (GR.1B has two) + templates. All camos have real serials (except Saudi GR.1, but it's under development) and tail letters. It's not so easy to find 10-15 planes from one squadron, or do 22 (will be 25) nosearts for 'Desert Storm' Tonkas ;-)

2 pointsAegean blue ... You know, the Aegean sea looks the same color as the deep blue in the pic above. It'd be nice If we could have something similar..

**** Tactical Laser System Pod (TLS) **** _______________________________________________________________________ This mod contains the Tactical Laser System from Ace Combat franchise. You will be able to fly with a powerful laser beam generator, that can tear a carrier up, blow up half of an airbase, or split in two bombers from 10+ km of distance. The pack includes three versions of the TLS pod: - TLS-01: A generic POD available to all countries - TLS-01_F-15: Specific for F-15E - TLS-01_Su-37: Specific for Su-37 (The exact F-15E and Su-37 are detailed below, they must be downloaded) _______________________________________________________________________ *Installment: Drop the content into your mod folder (C:\Users\[User Name]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[ModFolder]) as usual, taking into account a couple of things: 1. There are two aircraft (F-15_14 and Su-37 Terminator), both folders only contains two modified INIs. One is the DATA.INI from each aircraft and the other is for LOADOUT. Both aircraft are the ones having its own dedicated TLS Pod in Ace Combat 7, thus I picked both of these aircrafts from the excelent Add-on mods that we have here. In case you don't have them, you can download them from these links, install them and then copy the modified INIs which includes the laser pod and loadout (AirToAirLaser). The links to download them are: F-15_14: https://combatace.com/files/file/16161-sf2-f-15-strike-eagle-super-pack-redux-2018/ Su-37 Terminator: https://combatace.com/files/file/15049-su-37-flanker-f/ 2. Once you install the Red Laser Gun and copied some lines into the BulletObject.INI there is a chance that the laser wont appear while you are firing it. In order to solve this you should copy these lines in the R-TLS_Data (inside Guns folder) [RedLaserEffects] TracerEmitterName=RedLaserBeam GroundHitEffectName=20mmGroundHitEffect GroundHitSoundName=DirtHit WaterHitEffectName=CannonWaterHitEffect WaterHitSoundName= ObjectHitEffectName=20mmObjectHitEffect ObjectHitSoundName=Impact3 ArmorHitEffectName=20mmObjectHitEffect ArmorHitSoundName=Impact3 AirBurstEffectName=FlakEffect AirBurstSoundName=FLAK3 Then it should work fine. ________________________________________________________________________ TO SOUNDLIST SoundFileXXX=TLS //---------------------------------------- [TLS] Priority=HIGH Looped=TRUE NumBuffers=2 3DSound=TRUE DopplerEffect=FALSE MaxDist=3000.000000 MinDist=100.000000 InsideConeAngle=360 OutsideConeAngle=360 ConeOutsideVolume=100 ________________________________________________________________________ KNOWN ISSUES 1. The generic pod may not be visible during the loadout screen, this may happen because the measures of the pod exceeds the limits from the Gun Pod station of the aircraft. It can be fixed by adjusting the length/diameter/weight limit in the weapon station of the aircraft. Measures of the Pod (estimated from images of the AC7 pod and the real measures of a SUU-23 Gun Pod): Mass: 1406.7 kg Length: 7.312 m Diameter: 0.92 m (moreless) 2. Also, I have not managed to fly with the full loadout of the Su-37, in my case It only loads the laser pod and the rest of the pylons are empty (I have to select the weapons manually), I guess this may be a problem of my installation, if anybody has this problem tell me. ________________________________________________________________________ Special thanks to: F-15: viper63a Su-37: denissoliveira Effects from which I developed the laser beam effects, I took them from Stary Unified Effects Pack. And everyone who contribute in these projects, which are truly masterpieces. ________________________________________________________________________ And as always, this is a FREEWARE, any distribution under payment of these files are strictly forbidden. Finally! If there is any problem or you want to give me your feedback I will love to hear it, I hope it works well and enjoy! Nuni -

1 pointI know the thing..been there done that...althoug research (aircraft itself and squadrons, painting etc) is the most interesting part of creating mod. Yea i know some users do not give a damn about it...but we do. And some users care.

1 pointSince the topic starter comes from Turkey, i guess he wants to fly turkish jets to protect islamistic rebels, Al-Kaida and IS forces against the bad, godless russians and shia troops from Iran, Lebanon and Assads alewitish squadrons. As far as i know there is no map, which covers the area of the turkish syrian border. But this would be no big problem to build such a terrain. The question is, who should do that. AFAIK all terrain builders are working on their own projects. For me it is rebuilding Battle of Britain terrain and a new version of Kuril Islands, so i have no time to start an other project. The solution would be: help yourself, so help you god. ( no matter what god you believe in) A tutorial, how to make a terrain, is available at Knowledgebase of Strike Fighters 1, here in this forum.

1 pointIn german language we called it "Schreiberrakete". It had seeker heads and a memory device, which "wrote" all data, so that after landing could be evaluated, wheter the missile would have hit the target or not. Those "missiles" were always white and had black stripes around the body. They had never rocket engines or maneuvering fins. This picture show a MiG-23ML with training missiles for R-23 and R-60. BTW: Nice to see the different camo schemes of the planes. Every single fighter plane of the LSK had a unique camo.

The German Siemens-Schuckert D.I was a direct copy of captured Nieuport 17s. The most important difference was in the engine. The Siemens Schuckert Werke (SSW) D.I used a geared Siemens-Halske Sh.I engine which produced 1800rpm. The spinner nose and open bottom cowling were necessary to help cool the engine. A bigger prop required a taller landing gear. Problems with engine production delayed the release of the SSW D.I. The Albatros D.III was already available by the time the SSW reached the front. The Albatros was a much superior plane, and was less likely to be mistaken for a French plane. The SSW D.I only served for a short time on the Western Front, they served longer on the Eastern front. My Siemens-Schuckert D.I includes a three color camo skin, a full set of number decals, a fully functional cockpit, and damage nodes for the wings. My skinning templates and a sound file for the engine are included in the download. Historical Notes: I do not have a sound file for the Siemens-Halske Sh.I engine, I am using Nixou's sound for the Le Rhône 110 hp engine instead. Credits: My thanks to Ojcar once again for making the excellent data.ini file for this plane. My thanks to Nixou for making the sound file for the Le Rhône 110 hp engine. Installation instructions: For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "SiemensSchuckertD1" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. If you don't already have it, move the file named "Lerhone110m1" from my Sounds folder into your Sounds folder. For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "SiemensSchuckertD1" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "SiemensSchuckertD1". Move the folder named "D" from the Aircraft/SiemensSchuckertD1 folder into the Decals/SiemensSchuckertD1 folder you just made. If you don't already have it, move the file named "Lerhone110m1" from my Sounds folder into your Sounds folder. -

Fokker DII A revamp of Stephen 1918's Glorious Fokker D II , I have re done the original 3 skins as I thought the aluminum cowl needed to be lightened up somewhat, and the panels on the cowlings needed a slight tweak. So I have re done the original ones supplied by Stephen, I have also made alternative versions of thos 3 aircraft with painted cowlings, and white bandage markings for the Maltese crosses, I also made one skin in Clear dope, for those of you who like CDL aircraft, it appears that the DII was usually painted , so a doped aircraft was rare, I also did 2 separate aircraft from Kesta 4b one with a black and whirte striped rear fuselage, and the other one was just white, also was not a named aircraft. and lastly I did an aircraft from Kesta 16 with a rather natty eyeball marking and the fuselage over painted with paint smears. I have also included the FM by Von S , along with the early spandau, and finally one of Geezers smashing pilots. sounds decals, and hangar screens are all included or at least they should be. I hope I have included everyone who I am supposed to give credit to, if I have missed anyone out I heartilly apologise, and thank you whomsoever ye may be. You may also notice that I have applied little or no weathering to these skins, that is basically because although these aircraft got very dirty very quickly, I much prefer the model to be shown in "airshow" condition, so if you want weathering, please feel free to add your own to taste, myself, I like 'em looking clean.
